Hi all
Well I am back from the best holiday that I have ever had!!!
(at the DP)
I will post a review very shortly, had a few water problems at home (FLOOD) tht is why I am late in replying to you all.
I can honestly say that it was in every way shape and form the epitome of sheer luxury. It was on the second night while sat in the lobby bar sipping a cognac, that it suddenly hit me about this hotel, everything that the Delphin is about is service and quality. I have done AI in the Carib and they are supposedly the best at it, but guess what? Move over the Delphin Palace has far more.
So all I can add is well done to everyone who has found this gem, and shhhhh keep it quiet!!
Will review this weekend

Ooops forgot my manners,
Booked next year today, off to a another gem (I hope) in Crete.
Against all my better judgment I have booked a hotel that is not due to be finished until the end of this year!! If anybody is interested follow this link
I think you might find certain similarities between the two Hotels.

Glad you had a fantastic holiday, looking forward to reading your review,
couple of questions,
Did you dine at the A La Carte's?
Any problems with overbooking?
Did you manage to get a sunbed!
Children, we have a Daughter who will be 4 in December, do they have a shallow kids pool, and playground? Know they have a small funfair, is this open at certain times?
Thats it!!
Thanks...............we go on 14/9 5 can't wait!!
Emma
No we did not dine at the A La Carte's, the queue in he morning was a bit too much. but on the positive side on our last day they have introduced a telephone booking for all the A La Carte's direct from your room. you should find the relative information in your room when you arrive.
Did not hear of any problems with overbooking at all.
Sunbeds now there lies a story, went to the main pools at the rear of the hotel first morning, roughly about 10:30 there were plenty of sunbeds around, only thing that I was not quite keen on was the activities, not that it was bad or anything it was just not my scene (disco music, and pool games etc). We then went to the Relax Pool a lot quieter and no one saying "come join in"!! Sunbeds cannot be reserved before 07:30 and summerhouses before 08:30. One thing the pool boy does a thankless but absolutley fantastic job, tipped him 10 euros and got personnel attention every day, believe me he will look after you. Oh and another thing the summer houses along the back of the relax pool have just had their own ceiling fans installed!!! Bliss in the heat, hottest day 44f in the shade and a meltingly 64c in the direct sun!!!!
Yes the little ones have their very own pool and mini water slides.
The funfair only opens in the evening.

Funnily enough we have also been looking at Sensatori!
Perhaps i'll see you on the crete forum next year!
So pleased you enjoyed the hotel as much as we did, and it is good news that they have changed the booking system for the restaurants. We are going again next august!
Sorry you came back to the floods, that must be awful, but great to see you have bounced back and already booked for next year. I took a look at your hotel and it looks fab the one in Crete but is expensive I feel and you will have drinks on top , such a shame they did not make it an all-inclusive. We should have been off to crete on friday and changed it to Turkey and go to the Limak Lara on Sunday!!We think the hotels in lara are such good value and hard to beat. I suppose we will have to try other areas but have booked twice for next year for lara.
Look forward to your review and will read it in the lobby in Turkey!!
Regards Violet

How did you get on with the other members of your family being at the royal wings?? Which hotel was best?? Did you get in to see it?

fab hoiday,the best ever.
yes we swapped room card keys with my brother and used both hotels for the four days he was staying there.
Actually it was nice to see the royal wings as well as titanic, both great hotels but didnt like the lay out of the royal wings ie; slides and wave pool and fun fair at the front of the hotel and large pool and eating areas at the back .I preferr it all together!!!!
LOved the titanic hotel, couldnt fault it!!!1
My brother liked royal wings,he still preffered titanic,he said it had more atmosphere!!!
Have to say though,Delphin looks fab!!!!!!
no didnt do a tour,it was too hot to bother,
going on july 8th for two weeks!
ill be back before you go......did you do the tour then?????

We stayed at the delphin at easter and are returning as it was so good.
We are going to the limak lara on sunday but are worrying ourselves because yesterday I saw a video clip on the internet of a fire at the hotel posted a week ago and have spent all day trying to find out if it is true.
Thomas cook are saying they have not heard anything but I saw it with my own eyes. We are so looking forwards to a break and then i see the clip and I am wondering what to expect.
We prefered the delphin set up to the royal wings, pleased for you that everything worked out and maybe we will be fine too!!.
regards Violet
The other thing I woud like to know is about the turkish men because I have 2 teenage daughters and wouldn't like to take them anywhere they would get unwanted advances.
Whilst staying at the titanic this year we were asking our rep about the other hotels and she said that at the delphin you have to wear wrist band, which suprised us as none of the other hotels do.
Hi Sallington.Yes you do have a wrist band at the DP.Collected a friend from there today and his was Purple ( just thought I would let all you fashion conscious girls know )
I have book to go to the Delphin Palace next sep with my husband, son, mother & father-in-law, can't to go all the photos look very good. Will you let me know how you got on when you get back? Kirstin.
kirstinf,
Thanks, I was a bit worried about the promblems with the overbooking, but i will have to wait and see.
hi kirstinf, who have you booked with as all the problems we saw at the titanic were first choice guests.Im hoping that thomas cook dont get in the same position, like you say we will all have to see.Ill let you no.
