It would be a shame if you let such a small (imho) thing put you off visiting Greece.
In almost all of the places I've stayed in (and that's usually been basic self catering accommodation) the bins have been emptied daily.
And don't forget that you'll be out of your room for most of the day anyway.
CHEERS :
Fair enough, Percy, it's obvious that your concerns are valid.

Hi Guys, It looks like its Kos this year for us and we are newbies to the island. We usually go to Rhodes but we want to get away for 10 days and the difference is over 600 quid! This will be our first time, we will be staying at the Mitsis Ramira beach from 21st oct. We have stayed in lots of their other hotels so well aware of the pro's and cons but we know nothing about Kos itself so any tips would be greatly appreciated, such as price of taxi from airport etc. It will be me, hubby and 2 kids 11 & 3.
This time we booked at the Iberostar Hippocrates in Psalidi but we had a phone call 2 weeks ago saying it was shutting early due to low bookings. We were offered an "upgrade" to the Iberostar Sol Kipriotis Village.
Looking at various reviews it doesn't look much of an upgrade. We are just hoping that being Iberostar it isn't the pits.
Looking at one of the reviews they charge for beach towels on top of the deposit. Strange for AI.
Raymaher, are you on the Gatwick flight by any chance (Kiss/Viking)?
Gatwick Monarch dept. 1050
Earlier than me then, we go at 15.35
We are newbies to the Island as well. We are hiring a car from the airport so if the weather goes belly-up we will have something to do. Driving in the rain, sounds like home.
