Hi Chilly, Ice and spice is just a few doors past the elephant shop, I have only used it a few times and dont really know the guys who run it very well, but it is comfortable, friendly and not to noisy. I know some of you on here use it frequently, and mayby someone going out at the start of the season would like to speak to the owner, and OK us using it for a meeting venue, Any offers
Elephant shop top end near Magnum resort? or in the middle. Yes, id be interested. Arrive 15 October for 1 week then back 3 dec for 2 wks.
If someone pms me when you have a decision about the days and place of the meets I can change the thread title.
Hi candy, yes near Magnum resort, between the jewellers shop and Tony's place,
The sun meets won't replace the wed nights at Lazy days, but just gives an extra opportunity, A lot of people go to Anjuna Market on Wed and need a week to get over it , and as has been said before it is very noisy with the karokee next door [esp when Arpora julie gets on the mike]
Would have gone on Pop Idol if I was still in England
Probably been on the out takes.
We will be going to Lazy Days on Wednesday, though not every week, always seem to have too many G&T's especially in Lin's company
There has been talk for some time about either moving the Wednesday night meet -up to another venue due to noise and shortage of space at Lazy Days or holding an additional evening meet, maybe Sunday? Many of the regular and long term visitors seem to be located in the Candolim area. I know that Ice n Spice has been suggested but I know from past experience that it can be very noisy there from traffic but more so from loud music, nothing against loud music as such! A bar that might be more suitable is Annapurna bar which is next to the "other "elephant shop, they have plenty of tables n chairs and even a overflow area upstairs, the food is good well priced, drinks also. Just a suggestion, I'll be happy to travel and go with the flo!!!
Does Lazy Days have accomodation?
Hi airportbry, yes lazy days has 5 rooms depends when you are going as he gets full, will send you his mobile num. by private message you can txt him. PL
When I went to lazydays I was a bit ill so I didn't appreciate the venue, as far as I could see it has been used for quite a while.
One my one and only visit there where + 12 people sat in the corner and the service was quite poor.
So would it be possible for one of the folk whom live there or just go for long stay recon a venue that will appreciate quite a few visitors that will attend twice a week, I'm not looking for freebies just service as required, music that doesn't stop conversation, a shiny pole for those that, ok the pole is not necessary, a central place that we can all put faces to names and most of all enjoy a night out with NEW friends.
Because when I went to lazydays all I could think of was all these nice friendly people and I want to get away.
Les
I will have a look out for a suitable place when I get out there,
Hi Les,I was there at Lazy Days the night you were there, when are you out there this year, I arrive 9th November through mid March.
Johnny G we are going in november aswell we plan on going to a lazy day meet up ..maybe see you there ...where will you be staying (colleen)
Hope to get to the meet on 15th (I think)? I'll be staying at Highland Beach in Candolim. Bring it on!
My suggestion would be somewhere that is drink only,so no worry about taking up all the tables for other guests wanting food (HT seemed to take over half of Lazy Days). Petes roof top bar in Candolim is fine for that (English Garden I think ? on the corner of the Beach Road above the Chinese).Quite a few rooftop bars doing drink only about,so any other suggestions ?
