lillian - we got married and had our reception at the G Sands hotel on 19th july 2006. the G Bay hotel is about 3 hotels away from each other. we never did get to see what the G Bay hotel looks like, but our wedding and reception meal was the best we could ask for. we had it in the little chaple about 5pm, and then a meal on the 1st floor at 7.30pm while the sun was going down. as we had the chaple wedding we saw no sun bathers as the chaple is out the front of the hotel, if you had your wedding on the sea view deck there will be people around watching. but look into the G Sands hotle, could not fault it and the manager really looks after you

any more questions please let me know and i see if i can help you

Hi All....

I'm getting married at Grecian Park Hotel on 22nd September....not long now.

My Mum is staying in the Protaras area, just wondered whether anyone knows of a good hairdressers in Protara....that would just blow-dry and put a tiara feather style hair accessory in.

If anyone knows of any one that would be great.

Hi all

Just wanted to ask what everybody is thinking of doing for reception. I can't seem to make my mind up :? I don't think I want a sit down meal (bit too formal). I like the idea of a bbq or something in the hotel gardens, but don't know how you go about it. We are staying at the Athena Beach, if anyone has any tips, we would really appreciate them.

Cheers

hiya kittymarie,

only 3 day's to go and we are off :fly we get married on the 12th, can't wait :love

On the subject off stat dec's, our solicitor did'nt have a stamp either, we had ours typed up on their headed paper, and our planner said that was ok as long as it says the words solicitor/s on it. I e-mailed copies across to her and she said that they were perfect.

hope this helps :wave
bye for now will post when we get back

Hi Blueeyes

Good luck with your wedding, they are all coming round so quickly. 7 weeks to ours.

How much did your stat dec cost to be typed on headed paper? we have been quoted £70 each plus vat, but £10 if not on headed paper. Have emailed town hall as argo holidays who we have booked through are insistant that we need head paper but everywhere else i have looked says not, even solicitors we have contacted say they do several a week and have not done any on headed paper, oh the joys!!! will be glad when all sorted.

hiya shartley 76,

£70 is a bit steep ,
we paid £10 for both of ours, we went down and were sworn in, and we signed everything, but as i said they had no stamp, so they stapled a business card to them. When i sent them to our planner jenny, she said they were not acceptable. We went back and asked them to type them up again, on headed paper, they did that and a few days later we went back to resign. They only charged us £10 no VAT or anything.

If i were you i would have a look around.

good luck with everything, :wave

Ours came to £15 all stamped and on headed paper. Look around as that sounds far too steep, you will find it cheaper than that. Good luck and im sure everything will go well, as said we got married in october in the monastry in aya nappa and had a really great time and all went smoothly. Yours will be fine, just double check everything in plenty of time before you go and enjoy it when you get out there.

Hi im using Aphrodite weddings for my wedding in june 2007. Have been dealing with Jenny and so far she couldnt do enough for me. Have spoken with her on phone and she completely put my mind at rest. Jenny even went as far as visiting hotels that are not really known for weddings to see if they would set up outdoor venue's for me. Im sure she will do you proud for your daughters big day.

I have just come back from my friends wedding in Golden coast pernera, really lovely, i went to a hair dressers on the main road to ayia napa, called the cutting house hair studio(cape greco avenue), 4 of us went, and only 1 of us liked our hair, we didnt think she was particular helpful. the place where my friend went, 3 went there, and they did a really good job, it is on the main street running through protaras opposite bells pub, it was a tattoo studio as well,im getting married next year in May and i am going to that hairdressers, sorry cant remember the name, hope this helps.
