We found the apartments to be very clean clean, and with the maids changing our sheets every 2 days, we felt very comfortable.

The staff and entertainment were great.

This is without a doubt the worst 3* accommodation ever!! I stayed in Fedra 2. This particular building was the furthest away from the main entrance and all of the shops/restaurants etc. This became a big problem as it wasn't fun walking back and forth about 8 times a day especially with a 5year old and a 2year old.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartement....which I thought was big enough, until we had a couple of 100 ants nesting in our rooms/balcony/kitchen and also our suitcases. This was reported a number of times but still staff refused to move us to another room,(another accommodation would have been better).

We didn't spend much time in our rooms as we were mainly on trips in other parts of Alcudia, so we didn't see the cleaner but we did have a clean towels/sheets and floors when we returned.

Outside the resort there was a long stretch of shops and restaurants which was nice as we always had a variety of places to go. Our favourite was "jolly rogers"it has a large pool and sun loungers with fantastic day time snacks.

All in all, I wouldn't visit Alcudia again, neither would I dare to recommend it. I agree with Belleview being liken to a council estate and a danger to everyone!

Stayed in a two bed apartment (Fedra), which was roomy but very basic. Unfortunately electrics cut out if more than a couple of appliances on.

Concerned about pool area, as slimy algae had formed around edges. Children and adults constantly slipping up. Thankfully only witnessed one nasty accident and one ambulance arrive for a gent who had slipped at pool side and was unconscious for a while.

Entertainment - absolutely superb - loved it !!

We ate at the various buffet / restaurants on site all week. Food was fine (i thought). Unfortunately however, two of my children contracted a nasty dose of salmonella -(diagnosed by hospital tests) Luckily they did not start to become ill until a few hours after landing home, but were VERY poorly.

In conclusion, I'd probably return - but my children say definetely not!

After just reading some of the reviews on this website i felt i had to put one in myself!! We went on our holiday there last year and thought it was brilliant.

The kids loved it having so many pools to choose from, and having a boat in the resort to take you to the beach is brilliant.

Our room was a good size and was cleaned enough times in the week that we stayed.

The entertainment at night was really good, all tribute acts such as Westlife and Robbie Williams which where great for the teenagers.

Didn't ever eat at the hotel apart from burger at the pool so cant comment on that, but there are plenty of decent restaurants within 2 minutes walk.

All in all we had a really good time and have recommended it to other people who have since been and enjoyed it too. We also go back in October.

We stayed in Minerva 1 facing the front main road and it really was a main road and the noise just never stopped from traffic.

The pubs which never shut till gone 4 in the morning the arcade (right opposite our room)People shouting across balconies even at two and three in the morning.

One of our party even changed rooms to the other side but it was no better there. The room itself was very basic and certainly no good for a family with grown up teenagers.

There was no privacy and wasn't particularly clean either. On the eighth day we had to ask for our bed linen to be changed as it hadnt been done and on several occasions we had to ask for loo rolls and clean towels.

I wouldn't take a family to this hotel. Other people made complaints and while the staff tried to help I think it was too much for them to deal with.

FOR ANYONE GOING TO THE BELLVUE HOLIDAY RESORT IN ALCUDIA.

PLEASE IGNORE THE MOANERS ON HERE.

There is nothing wrong with this complex at all.

Last year my partner and me went to Playa del Muro which is a short taxi ride away from the Bellevue Area of Alcudia, each night we got a taxi down to the Bellevue strip as we really enjoyed the restaurants and the bars. I am 21 and my partner is 19.

Because we enjoyed it so much we decided to go back this year but book up a hotel nearer the Bellevue Complex. So we went with Direct Holidays and stayed in the Bellevue Complex from 2nd July to 9th July. I went on a few holiday review websites and was devastated to read some of the reviews, I thought we had booked a week in a complete dump and was really gutted, we decided not to worry and just take it as it comes, we knew the resort so even if the hotel was crap we knew we would have a good time.

First impressions were good, the airline Direct Holidays use is Monarch, very good airline, big planes and the flight was the best I

We read the reports on here before we left and were not disappointed. This really was as bad as it gets. Butlins in the sun springs to mind.

We stayed in Minerva 2 right opposite the amusements that stay open until 3am, on the main road back from the bars, so we were lucky enough to be able to be woken up constantly through to about 6.30 in the morning. That apart we did manage to witness some blinding fights and arguements.

The accomodation was VERY basic with no a/c so we had to hire fans, doors had to stay open all night hence the noise. Maid service was a bit hit and miss but once we complained wasn't too bad.

On the plus front entertainment was very very good, kids loved it. Shows were great, poolside was good if you could get a sunbed, kids club was good and the reps worked very hard to keep them entertained. Small tip, get up early if you want a sunbed even if you're not going to be there all day, that's what everyone seemed to be doing round our pool.

To sum up, wouldn't go back to this Hotel as my days of staying up all night are long gone now I've got kids.

We, like many others read previous reviews about Belleview after we had booked and almost dreaded going. In fact before we left England we had decided to hire a car for the full week to get away from the place! We took note of the lack of facilities and duly packed our case with kitchen utensils, scourers to clean the kitchen, a kettle (as we had been told on numerous occasions they had to be hired) and a fan.

When we arrived we were totally flabbergasted at the complete nonsense we had read on this web-site.

The room was roomy, spotlessly clean, had a brand new kitchenette with brand new toaster, pots, pan and kettle. They even provided a clean tea towel.

The grounds were also clean and tidy and there were lots of pools, gardens and facilities to use. We immediately decided NOT to hire the car!! Ignore all that complete rubbish about bad smells, rats, cockroaches etc. etc.

We stayed in Neptuno II which we thought was a lovely position just near to the big pool and entertainment without being right on top of it. What I would stress (like many others) is the need for a fan. We took a large office-type oscillating fan on a stand (don't ask how it fit into the case) but it was well worth it - we could not have managed without it. At the end of the holiday we sold it to another family for the same amount as we paid for it here so that we didn't have to bring it home, and I assume they will pass it on again when they leave!

The only complaint we had was not about Bellevue, but the selfishness and bad manners of other guests. We had a bunch of yobs in the next two rooms to us with blaring ghetto blasters and rowdy behaviour in the early hours when they came home drunk. But instead of suffering it for a week then moaning about it on this web-site, we went to reception where they immediately gave us the key to a new room wherever we wanted and we moved our stuff within 30 minutes. So for goodness sake, don't just suffer other people's bad manners and inconsideration, tell reception and they will move you! They could not have been more helpful!

The maid came every other day and change towels and cleaned - can't ask for more than that.

The entertainment was excellent, although we did not get to see it every night, but what we did see could not be faulted.

After reading some of the reports on here we were 'dreading' stepping foot in the hotel.

We were housed in the Minerva I block which had its own reception situated in Minerva II.

We had a studio apartment, which was very clean and tidy, a little on the small side for 4 people! Limited storage space. The kitchen was very basic but had all the utensils needed - kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/mini-freezer and even a tea-towel. The maid service was very good - we had our linen and towels changed 3 times per week. The maids also came in to change the bins and give the floors a sweep. (I don't know what they used to mop the floors but it stunk afterwards).

The biggest problem was the heat in the rooms, we were unlucky to get a room that had the sun blaring in all afternoon. The heat was unbearable and sleeping was impossible. My advice - hire a fan or 2! There is no way we could have managed without it.

As we went self-catering we were able to try out some of the eating places within the complex. The cafeteria was very clean and air conditioned but a little pricey and the food was only average.

The complex had 7 swimming pools, some better than others. If you want the chance of a place to sit the pool of the Minerva block is a huge No! Reservation of sun beds was forbidden but people were out at 7am putting towels on the beds. The majority of people wouldn't even use them until the later part of the day. Whilst we were there a bunch of British men were fighting with each other over who had a sunbed - pathetic, the language coming from the mouths of some people around this pool was terrible, no respect for those with children who had to listen to this foul language. After 2 days of putting up with the Minerva pool we went to the pool of the Neptuno block - complete bliss, sun beds were usually available and the atmosphere around the pool was calm and relaxing.

The evening entertainment within the complex was quite good. The kids will enjoy the fairground rides and the park. The 'Show Bar' had a tribute band/singer on each night (around 10.30pm) which was enjoyable to watch, although the bar was a little pricey 4.50 euros for a WKD!

Also on the complex was mini-golf which proved a winner with the kids! For 7 euros you can hire a 4 man pedal car, another hit with the kids.

The Hotel location was ok, the popular bellevue strip that leads down to the beach is packed with bars and restaurants.

The biggest fault with the complex is that they keep the side gates locked. What could be a quick walk to get out of the complex turns into a hike, we were walking about 800 metres to get to the exit of the complex - if the side gates were open we would have had to only walk 20 metres to get out of the complex. The walk to the beach is down 1 main road and takes about 10 minutes.

This Complex was average, what will stick in my mind is lack of respect some British holiday makers had for others. Teenagers 'hanging around' drinking, shouting abuse and smashing bottles. One evening me and my husband were sat on our balcony (3rd floor up) and all of a sudden some idiots from the top floor started throwing glass bottles down, one shattered against a palm tree near our balcony. Don't use the supermarkets on the complex they are more pricey than the ones outside the complex.

If you are looking for a Butlins abroad holiday complete with idiotic people you will love this place.

Won't be going again.
