We read the reports and we were dreading our holiday.
The hotel itself is dated don't expect a fantastic room because they are basic, but they are only for sleeping in.
We would recommend that if you are going with children that you book a family room. Ours had two large beds and a cot in it, which made the room itself small.
The hotel was clean and we had no problems with the staff.
The food was typical hotel food but was tasty enough, there was plenty of choice and my kids enjoyed it.
It does have a feel of Butlins about it but to be honest if you just use it as a base it is fine.
We hired a car so we could come and go as we pleased.
We didn't use the pools as always full so we drove to different beaches which were lovely.
We just ate and slept at the hotel and explored the island, which is great.
We had absolutely no problems with noisy children or any other guests.
If you are a complete snob these are not the Hotels for you.
We wouldn't go back to that particular hotel but we did enjoy our holiday and after all it's what you make it.

The food was great and staff very helpful.
The pools were clean and shut when problems occurred in them (sick, glass) but that's not a problem as there's so many.
The rooms are clean with maid service everyday.
The hotel is close to everything, there's a water park over road well worth visiting it cost 2 adults and 3 children 54 euros we were there 7 hours everyone enjoyed it.
We came here 2 years ago in July and there seemed to be more open than this time ie fruit bar ice cream parlour and there was food before on Jupiter bar we visited the hotel in September this time.
The entertainment was good and do play bingo if you get the chance. We will be visiting this hotel again but will go earlier in the year

The hotel is always clean with the staff working day and night.
The food was excellent with loads to choose from, my only complaint is sometimes the food could be a bit cold but 30s in a microwave made it fine but this was only a few times. There is sometimes a bit of a queue for a drink bit not a big one so just double up and get two while your there.
Staff are friendly and the entertainment staff work hard and when they do the shows they are professional and don't mess about. The other shows on are very good depending on taste but can't say I was disappointed with any of them.
There is a beach bus that runs every half hour but we walked it once and it only took 15mins with a winging 5 year old.
I will be going back again because the fact that you can use 4 different pool areas and eat and drink in any of the bars gives you a bit of a change from time to time. And there is a bar that stays open till 3 am.
So to all the fussy people who love to complain go on self catering villa holiday and leave the fun to us !!!!!!!

I was absolutely dreading it after reading all of the complaints regarding this hotel, but people just have to moan for the sake of it!!!!
I think that my standards are quite high and we had the best holiday ever!!
All of the staff work very hard, keeping everywhere clean after some filthy people that leave there mess around.
The pools were closed 4 times during our 2 week stay, but that was only because of the filthy dirty people who decided to poo & be sick in the pool, but the staff were great and made sure everyone got out very quick, there are life guards on watch.
People must remember that it is abroad & not home things are different.
The entertainment worked very hard to keep everyone happy, the mac reps were excellent, and if there wasn't something on to suit my family, we would move to a different entainment area. The cinema was fantastic, our boys would sit there often with us and watch the film.
The beach is perfect we visited it nearly everyday, the children can got so far out and it still be quite shallow!!!
There is one thing we would recomend and that would be to go and see Pirates, yes it is very expensive (209 euros) but it was out of this world!! and worth every penny!!!
We would go back - we had a great time and our reps Kerrie and Laura were so helpful!!!
Please remember go with an open mind like us and you will have a great time!!!

For a family of four the rooms are a little on the small side but only really there for sleeping and washing so no real worries.
All Inclusive was superb, made life very easy with 2 young children, drinks ice creams food available all day and until 3 in the morning.
The restaurants were busy but not one day did we have problems finding a table or high chair, plenty of food to choose from all different types. If the staff felt that the desserts etc were not presented properly or it has been sitting there for alittle while it was replaced with fresh food, always good!
Location was OK, a little far from the beach there is a bus available but not easy with kids, beach was very nice though. No real need to leave the complex unless like us you need nappies etc, and just across the road is a Spar shop with a few bars if you fancy a drink out.
The staff were very friendly very helpful and always cleaning, the entertainment staff were brilliant loads to do, get involved all good clean fun for adults or kids.
The complex is big, shared by 2 other hotels has 4 pools and an excellent children's village. The downside is, there is a lot of people so a bit manic at times, but you can do as much or as little as you like, it did rain for two days and the complex could not cope. The complex is designed to entertain outside so when raining everybody was crammed into a small area, the kind of atmosphere as a pub lots of people lots of smoke not ideal for young children.
We would go here again but would prefer to go as part of a group, having the young kids made the days very long and tiring and because it was manic alot of the time i.e. getting a sun bed or a table in the evening outside you felt a little limited for space and closed in by the larger groups.

Drinks served in plastic containers even indoors( by the pool and for kids ok but adults indoors?)food mostly unedable due to being semi cold and reptitive we stayed 7 nights and the menu never changed except for 1 item per night.
Although the hotel complex was almost full the restuarant in saturno was half closed off due to staff shortage we were told, tables in the bar/entertainment areas were always cluttered with empty drink containers, cigarette ash on the tables which we had to clean away ourselves before sitting, not just once but every time morning to night.
One of our two rooms was also burgled, when security informed we were greeted by a shrug of the shoulders as if he couldnt care less. If you are looking for a quality break this place is definitely not it.

The rooms were clean but I noticed the toilets they only seemed to clean the actual toilet there was snot on the back of one of the doors that was there for the whole 2 weeks we were there and even worse stuff on 1 of the walls. The floor outside was hosed down but anything that was stuck on it was left there for the wasps and flys and belive me the flys were everywhere.
The food was great the first week but after that it was really bad.
The location wasn't that near to much the hotel.
Staff were really nice.
We found there was nothing to do if it rained as we had really heavy rain 4 out the 14 days we were there and everyone was cramed into the indoor bar at jupiter and there was nothing to do until about 3 when they did a quick game or made sangria but that only lasted about half an hour.
The pools were great for the kids they were never out of them but you can't get a lounger round them so if you want to watch your kids in them you have to stand there.
I came home with 26 mosquito bites and a stomach bug which about 200 other people had while we were there we will not be going back there.

It was loud but that is what you expect when you are holiday with young children. Our children loved it, except the kids club , which they went to twice and did not want to go back as they said it was dead boring. They said they felt like they were in the Tweeny's house, which does not suit a 6 and 7 year old.
The holiday reps were all over us when we got there but as we were only there for a week we did not book any days out, so they sort of did not bother with us after that.
The hotel staff put on some great entertainment of an evening, which suited all ages . There was another area which suited older couples which was good to.
We did not see as much as we wanted to as I git bitten reaaly badly on the first night and could not walk properly all week which kind of put a damper on it for me. Take very good repellent as it is rife for bites out there especially by the childrens villiage by the lake.
The food was not up to much but as I am a fussy eater then that was only to be expected although my husband did enjoy it .
Overall it is not a bad hotel it is what you make of it and if it had not been for that nasty dirty mosquito that made my ankle swell up from a size 5 shoe to a size 8 then I think I would have enjoyed it a lot more.
Must also comment that the rooms were kept spotless my a lovely maid who was very pleasant.

There was always something to do at night time so you were never bored.
It was a lovely relaxing holiday and my 5 year old daughter loved it she was always busy and entertained all day and night long. She even cried when it was time for us to leave.
We are planning to go back to the resort in April and in Sept as we enjoyed this holiday so much.
