All inclusive means just that, plenty to eat and drink although food was same things every other day (only smoked bacon available at breakfast no real bacon) and plenty of stews at dinner, saying that kids loved burger and chips every day and the soft drinks where self service saves the parents a job .

The Saturno was very clean generally but the rooms got cleaned every 3 days i.e dry towels ,clean linen I thought this let the clean side down, so I gave it 4/5.

The location was bad! Right at the back of the resort but the free bus is handy because its a fair walk to the beach.

Hotel staff very good except for the cleaners who can't speak English you have to contact reception if you want the cleaners to clean your room in an emergency.

Entertainment was ok sometimes depends on the show, Chinese acrobats was about the best we saw and there is a movie on the big screen every night after the kids disco, but get there early if you want a table. It was very busy and we would not go back again in the big holidays or any other time because all inclusive does not suit us.

Stayed at this hotel 4 years ago and had excellent holiday, however this time was somewhat different.

Arrived to be told by hotel reception that hotel was fully booked and we would have to move to different hotel for 3 nights. We were given 20 euros a night in compensation, which was not nearly enough.

Moved to another all inclusive, about half a mile away which was full of Germans. Nice hotel but entertainment obviously geared towards Germans and room was opposite Spanish nightclub which went on till 5 a.m. Told by Club Mac that we could use Jupiter facilities whilst staying at different hotel. I believe this has happened to 500 other guests over the August period, so hardly a minor oversight by the hotel management.

Once back the Jupiter, hotel was absolutely packed, bursting at the seams especially around the large pools.
and inside the pools.

However restaurant food and cleanliness was excellent if a little busy.

There are three main entertainment areas on the complex, one has children's entertainment till about 8 then a film on a large screen, second and third areas have entertainment from outside entertainers which is variable in quality.

Rooms were small but clean, bathrooms looking like they will need updating soon.

Overall not a bad holiday but I would not go back there, just far too many people in peak season, best described as a HAVEN holiday with the sun and more people

Just returned from a fantastic holiday at Club Mac. Hotel rooms although small, had adequate space for clothes etc and were spotlessly clean.

Staff were constantly cleaning the complex and the pools and surrounding areas were all very clean. My Husband and I went with our 12 year old daughter (a very fussy eater) and I can honestly say that the food was delicious. There was plently of choice and it was all nicely cooked and very well presented. The puddings are to die for!!

Some reports say that the complex is full of kids, and yes it is, but what do you expect in August? One thing we weren't aware of before we went was that there are two other hotels on the actual complex, Jupiter and Saturno, and everybody shares the facilities, but this was not a problem and although it was very busy, we never had to wait for a table in the restaurant or for ages at the bar.

The entertainment is ok, about what you would expect, but the entertainment team do put their heart and soul into everything they do.

The only thing wrong was the location, getting a bus to the beach is a bit of a pain, and you have a 30 minute walk to the shops and bars etc, but to be honest, we only went for a week and didnt really want to leave the hotel for long anyway.

We would definitely go back. By the way, while there, book a trip to Pirates, expensive but well worth it. If you only do one trip, make sure it this one.

First time at an all inclusive. The food was excellent with lots of variety - served in spotless restaurants.

Hotel spotless cleaners buzzing around all day. The poolside and outdoor bar areas hosed down everynight.

Entertainment sometimes a little tacky but still enjoyable the kids loved it. Entertainment staff worked hard to please. Very friendly people.

I would say the problem was the tourist. Rude, greedy and dis-respectful. People pushing you out of the way to get in the lift. Jumping the queue for an abundance of food. Letting kids have soda fights with the help yourself drinks. Do people behave like this at home!!

This hotel complex is not for the faint hearted !This huge complex is extremely busy, full of out of control kids and ignorant parents.Getting a sunbed around any pool was out of the question unless you got down there very early. All pools are cold and no room to swim,we never saw them cleaned once. The rooms were small for a family of four and the balconies are tiny. The lifts are a joke and the hotel reception is like an out of control youth club.Very noisy nights, people returning to there rooms at all hours of the night with no respect for other guests, shouting and banging doors. There are some good points though, the food is pretty good with lots of variety but stay away from the seafood(especially the mussels). You dont have to queue for drinks and the entertainment was resonable. To be honest i would avoid this place like the plague. We stayed for 11 nights thank god it wasn'nt a fortnight. We were there in high season it might be different at other times who knows. If you havent already booked to go i strongly recomend you dont.

We visited this Hotel in August 2005, here are a few comments which may be of use to anyone pondering on a visit :-

1. On arrival, we were allocated a room in the Saturno, the condition of this room was absolutely appalling, it was dirty and unbelievably small for 5 people. Incredibly, there was nothing but a dividing door between ourselves and the room next door, this was prevented from opening by a nail and there were gaps around the door so wide that we could have waved at our neighbours. We spent 2 nights in this cell, I slept on a camp bed which was about a foot shorter than i am, in the corridor behind the door, with my head facing the toilet.

2. Naturally, we complained bitterly about this situation and were allocated a room in the Jupiter, the contrast was staggering, a recently refurbished family room, very clean, the kids had a dividing room with a bed each! A TV in each room, bathroom was small but fine - we felt like Royalty having suffered the previous accommodation!!

3. The Hotel complex is huge and very busy, we expected this though so no complaint here, there is plenty to do for the kids, lots of activities and they are well entertained the by hotel staff. We did'nt spend a great deal of time around the pools as we enjoy the beach and getting out and about, but for those who do be warned that they are mega busy, the sunbeds seem to have towels on them from the crack of dawn!

4. A lot has been said about the state of the lake and the fact that it stinks. I found this totally unfounded - don't forget that the lake is'nt man made, it was there before the Hotels, which have been constructed around it. We enjoyed strolling around the lake during our stay and watching the fish, some of which are quite big.

5. Food and drink is very good and on par with 3 star standard, the restaurants do tend to get busy from about 7.30pm, but we found that eating a bit earlier meant that there were no queues and there was a much more relaxed feel about the restaurants. The drink served from the outside bars comes in plastic glasses which has attracted a level of critisism, no problems as far as i'm concerned due to the amount of kids tearing about the place!

6. Apart from the obvious state of the rooms yet to be refurbished the hotel is very clean, taking into account the fact that there must be about 3000 inmates there in high season!

7. I found the hotel in a very good position, we like to walk and explore the resorts when we go on holiday and i found the hoel pretty central. Its about 10 minutes walk into the busy Belle Vue area, about 15-20 minutes to the harbour area, the beach is again 15 minutes away (The bus service to the beach is also very regular and we used this a few times). There is also a track down to the old town which is well worth exploring.

8. All in all we quite enjoyed our holiday. (apart from our cell in the Saturno - request a refurbished room!!)

Hope this helps anyone thinking about going.

If you have booked a family 2 bed style room, please dont think for a minute you'll get it. Apparantly evry year the Hotel massively overbook these rooms and you are extremely lucky if you get one.We had to spend the first 4 days in a tiny standard room and only by hassling the rep on a daily basis did we eventually get the room we'd paid for. Spoke to people there who said it happens every year. It's just not on to expect a 15 year old boy to share a bed with his 13 year old sister! Family rooms do not contain the coffee making facilities, playstation or DVD players, or have 2 bathrooms as advertised in the brochure.
Didn't find lift queues too bad.All the sun beds are towelled up by 8am but we went to the beach every day to escape the noise.
Although wristbands are coloured, there were a lot of drunken teenagers in groups and therefore we felt unable to leave our teenagers at the hotel without us.
To confirm other reviews, the complex is indeed like a gipsy camp in the sun, although there were a few decent families there.

Never again is all I can say. If you like Butlins type holiday this is for you.

We spent all week down at the beach because the noise levels in the hotel were terrible. Music noise everywhere. The rooms were basic. The bathroom had mould in the shower. Not very nice. The smell every afternoon smelt like a sewer, amonia like, In the corridors and in your room.

The food wasnt that bad. We asked to be moved ,but were just fobed off by the reps as well as the reception. They didnt care ,lets face it they,d had your money,so couldnt care less.

Please if youre thinking of booking this don't. If you have I feel sorry for you. Although Alcudia is a lovely area, and the water park next door to the hotel is ok too.

Never ever again, this was a big

We stayed in the Saturno hotel which is in need of updating the room was clean although for a family it is a bit on the small side.

Food and entertainment very good and the queues were not bad.

Very busy but not to overpowering kids and adults all catered for.

All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday
Terri, Viktor and Giorgio made it great.

After reading the reviews on this website we got ourselves mentally prepared for our holiday. When we arrived we had to carry our cases from the Jupiter to the Saturno at 5am in the morning when the kids were half asleep and noticed people putting towels out at this time. We were then woken up at 10am by the first welcome party and every other morning at 10am by the entertaiment.

Over the next couple of days we quickly realised that if you wanted to get a bed around the pool, then you had to be up at 7am ish to get a good spot, but be prepared to have your neighbours bed touching yours and then once all the beds are out, you have to navigate a path about 1/2 a mile long to get to the pool which is only about 3 steps away if it wasn't for the arrangments of beds only to have the people you might knock slightly, tutt at you!!!

Our family are very laid back and we made the most of the complex, by varing what we did. Of course the kids wanted to stay arround the pools playing with friends they had made, but we compromised by alternating between the beach (which is wonderful) and the pool.

There is lots of entertainment day and night and the food I have to say is excellent. The choice of drinks is much better than other hotels we have visited and you can even get a black russian if you can get the bar tenders to understand you. There is no way that anyone can go hungry at club mac and the staff should be praised for how hard they work.

Yes the Saturno is in need of a re-furb and i'm sure that it is next on the list. It is very unfortunate that people got bad rooms, however from stepping into our room we were presented with information on transfering to another hotel and thoughout the holiday people were doing this. I do agree with other people that club mac is like butlins in the sun, but the only thing that makes it like this is the great british population.

By day 10 to 11 i'd had enough a fighting for sunbeds, chairs and tables and quing to eat or get a drink or wait for the lifts. We did not get this holiday cheap as is cost
