We stayed in the Hotel Marte which is 1 of 3 hotels on the complex.

The hotel is rated 4* by MyTravel but officially its a 3*. The hotel was very clean, rooms were cleaned daily & towels changed every 3 days, our room was quite small but that was nothing to fuss about.

The food well what can I say? There was so much choice I would defy anyone to find something they didn't like.

The location apart from a good 1/2 hour walk to the beach there was no problem, also there was a daily bus service to the beach from 10am to 6pm free of charge.

The staff were really friendly & helpful, any problems were sorted straight away.

There was plenty of entertainment nightly from groups singing on the small stage outside the Saturno to the shows staged by the lakeside also films nightly by the Jupiter for children.

I would most definately visit this hotel again.

Myself, wife and 8 month year old daughter stayed in the Marte hotel. We was very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the food was out of this world.

This is the first all inclusive holiday we have stayed on and was very impressed with the variety and quality (including San Migual Beer).

The only negative comments are firstly the lift size was not pratical for push chairs, which was surprising as a family resort. We spoke to a lady with a double buggy on the 6th floor and found most of her holiday was waiting for a lift with no body in. The second would be the room size, whilst a small familly like us they were fine, but were not decorated to the quality I was expecting.

I, wife and 8 month year old daughter have just returned from a fantastic holiday and stayed in the Club Mac resort. The hotel (Marte) was one of three hotels within the complex.

The food was fantastic and the resort was brilliant. I was very impressed with the catering facilities around the hotel, the variety of food was great and the deserts were very nice.

I was impressed with the entertainment which was primarily focused around children.

The only negative (as stated in the report for Club Mac hotel) was the decor of the rooms and the small size of the lifts. As a push chair driver, I was waiting a long time for lifts, which I reported to the reception.

I would definitely visit this complex again, but would request to stay at the Jupiter holiday, also in this complex.

My boyfriend and I came back from Majorca at the beginning of July after staying there for 1 week.

We stayed at the Jupiter hotel and just like many others wondered what to expect after reading other people

The food was disgusting I would not feed it to my dog.

The cleanliness of the rooms were disgusting. I paid good money to stay at this hotel the location was horrible also.

I have a 13 year old daughter she cried to come home the second day and so did I. I noticed around some of the pools there were no life guards and children around 3 or 5 years old in the pools. The staff were working constantly around the clock.

I spent most of my time out of the hotel at meal times it was a joke we had to wait about 10 minutes to get a table and when we did the food was a joke. It was the same every night chips and pasta and some disgusting fish. Green sauce drinks were thrown over me by other kids while the parents just sat and watched I would rather die than go back there.

After reading many bad reports on this hotel I was worried.

On arrival we were greeted with a group of shouting swearing kids.

Our room was dirty and we had to change because of the broken lifts.

The food was greasy and there was no choice just chips, chips, chips.

The best thing was the kids rep Kirk Francis. He was great with the kids and a really great guy. Unfortunately he no longer works there.

I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel and wouldn't go back again. The only words to describe it are Chav-tastic.

We stayed at the Jupiter hotel for 14 nights. The hotel itself I thought was absolutely brilliant.

The 3 pools were were clean and there was plenty of activities going on around the main pools through out the day.

There was lots to do in the site, water activities, boating lake, crazy golf, football, play park and lots more.

There were shows on every night in the theatre area which were brilliant, plus the bingo on before that was a great laugh. At the stage area there were films on each night mainly for children, this is mainly the children's entertainment area, the reps organised all sorts of activities for the kids and were all very friendly and helpful.

The rooms were very basic and a little crammed with having two double beds. The hotel is dated and could do with some work however i cant say anything really bad, only the lifts stuck a lot and decided to go back down just before your floor.

The food was nice, not much of a selection in the Jupiter main restaurant but I can't complain. The fast food bar was handy, open till late and just beside the pool. There was ice cream on hand all day and a supermarket on site which we didn't find till out last day, thats how big the hotel is...

The drinks were ok, not a wide selection of alcohol but we didn't care. The drinks were available will late on. We went to the English bar just outside for something different now and again which was great.

The location of the hotel wasn't great, was at the top of the resort, one long road down to the centre which was a nice walk, not too long but a bit off putting, there was a bus to take you down which we never used. There are lots of bars and restaurants on the way down and nice shops for prezzies. The beach was amazing, long and wide stretch of white sand and lots of activities. There is a water park outside of the hotel which looked great but i cant comment as we didn't go. The reps in the hotel organise a lot of day trips to the water parks which were expensive but well worth it!

Would definitely go back but in a few year's, the hotel is more for kids but it's great!!!!

When we first got to the hotel we had to fill in a form for the police then we got our wrist bands! We went up to our rooms and on first impression I was quite impressed! Then we went down to the bar area there were only buttered sandwiches and the queue for the bar was massive! So we thought we'd try the other bars on the complex but they also were very full so we had to go out to a nice bar out of the complex!

The next morning we started to find that

Very clean and tidy, but to be honest a bit dated now, the rooms are evry small unless you go for executive rooms. Only 3 lifts which take an age to come, we were only on floor 3 so an easy hike up the stairs, but if you are on floor 10 - you want that lift !!

Overall a nice hotel that could do with a refurb !!

After many bad reports we heard about this complex we were a bit hesitent about going but on arrival we found it fantastic, here is what we thought:

HOTEL: The hotel was very big with two sister hotels the Jupiter and Marte on the same complex, the lifts in the Saturno were very small but enough for a family to fit in and bags etc. Yes they were a bit slow in coming but who wants to rush when your on holiday. The rooms were very clean and had two double beds which were ok for 2 small children to sleep in but if the kids were older or you have 3 kids I would recommend you ask for a family room of which I think there are not many. The balconies are small but ideal to hang out wet towels and swimsuits on the washings lines provided. we only slept in the room and changed in it for the evening so really we didn't need anything else. The bathrooms were nice and the shower in the bath was hot and very powerful. The rooms apparently had air conditioning but we didn't know this and thought it was heating so never touched it. The area in the hotel lobby had coffee machines (free) and snack machines for a small charge and the seating area was always empty as everyone sat outside.

RESTAURANT: The restaurant was large and clean with a fantastic choice of food. Breakfast: there was continental, full english (with proper english sausages) all the cereal the kids could want and fresh fruit, croissants and rolls for a lighter choice. I must admit we only made lunch once as the snack bar was great for the kids. Lunch had salad, cooked or a choice of pastas and sauces. Dinner was the same and the menu did vary day to day and was hot and you could never go hungry. There was even a kids section which served all the things kids like IE chicken nuggets and chips and always had a pasta dish, mine just seemed to live on the pasta which was lovely.

POOL: There were 4 pools on the complex, Saturno had the biggest pool and there were enough sunbeds to go round, you had to get the towels out by about 9.30 to get a decent spot near the edge of the pool if you need to keep an eye on the kids. There was palm trees for shade if you want to sit in the shade and the grassy areas at the back were a bit quieter. The pool bar serves beer and sangria and all the soft drinks for the kids. I was impressed that the beer was San Miguel and the pop was proper Pepsi and 7 up rather than local pop. The food was nice and served hot dogs, chips, burgers and nuggets from 11 am till 5 pm which the kids just helped thereselves hence we never made it to lunch. For the healthy option there were rolls and sandwhiches in the fridge which were topped up reguarly so were always fresh. We never went hungry! The pools themselves were clean and had a lifeguard on post all the time. At one point someone did a poop in the pool and the closed it for 2 hours to clean it but it wasn't too much of a problem as everyone just moved to another pool.

KIDS CLUB: There are kids clubs with all the tour operators and they vary but with Cosmos the clubs run 2 hour sessions throughout the day and activities range from football to painting, finishing last at 8pm so you can have a bit of peace. My children only went there once as they had made friends at the pool so wanted to stay there. The kids area is up by the top of the lake and had swings and climbing frames and another pool for parents with toddlers which was away from the main pool set in quiet grounds also with a soft drinks bar which had ice crean for the kids whenever they wanted it.

ENTERTAINMENT: The entertainment varied, at the Saturno there was a live performance every night by local groups singing English songs, but we just used this for background music. The bar was open from 8 pm till 11.30 pm and sold every drink possible, the measures were very large so beware! At the jupiter there was a mini disco every night for the kids and after was a show or movie showing till about 11:00pm. The children made friends quickly and were safe to run around on the grass so you could relax and have a drink. The only problem I found with this is that the entertainment at the Saturno did not finish until 11:30 and was quite loud, it is just below all the rooms so getting to sleep before midnight is unlikely. We tried this once on the day we arrived as we had been up for 24 hours but found we couldn't sleep, but hey your on hoilday your meant to stay up late! I found making the kids sleep for a couple of hours a day helped and they then got enough sleep.

STAFF: The staff were hard working and friendly. Maintainence men were around all day cleaning and picking up rubbish in the complex and by the pool. There are bins all around but its fair to say most people didn't use them and made the work double for these poor men. At 4am every day the men were out hosing down paths and pool area, it was spotlessly clean. The bar staff always had a smile and the restaurant staff were always busy and friendly.

All in all we had a fantastic time at this complex and would go again. This is somewhere you have to go with children and I wouldn't go as a couple. It is suitable as a family hotel only I would say. Kids of all ages would be entertained. It is a large complex and I agree with other comments about being a Butlins abroard, but Butlins is for kids, and so is this hotel!
