We recommend that if you do not fit this criteria don't go.
Yes the hotel is clean, the food is ok, but the staff and entertainment are appalling.

The hotel has fantastic facilities for kids and plenty of activities and entertainment for them too. Food was a pleasant suprise as you never know what you are going to get with all inclusive. It was hot, a fantastic variety every day all day.The staff were very pleasant and helpful which is not a comment you can apply to many majorcan hotels.
What let the whole hotel down was the rooms.Very shabby extremely small too small for a family and the bathrooms were terible. And the noise!Paper thin walls and floors meant you could hear everything either side up and down, everyone complained about this.
The lifts are too small and cramped or the number of rooms 3 for appox 940 rooms( this was in the Jupiter the othe 2 were no better)
Money has obviously been spent else where but not on the rooms.
A lot of older people were there and very unhappy as they hadn't been told it was a family hotel.
It was quite busy for the autumn half term week and it was very obvious they were closing it down for the winter with most acivites stopping as the week progressed.Wouldn't like to go there in the heightof the season.
Basically an ok holliday with lousy rooms.

We got to the Hotel late in the day all of us were tired and hungry, the recpetion staff were not very polite, I thought that it was just them being rude, but over the two weeks I stayed there I established they they are probably just tired due to the long hours that they work. One redeeming factor however is that the room we had been allocated was directly above the entertainments area and was very noisy at night, upon complaining to the reception staff on arrival they immediately relocated us plus cot to another room on the quiet side of the Hotel. Fantastic.
What can I say about the famous lifts.. they really arent that bad, yes they could be bigger, we had two buggies and we could all squeeze in but with no room for anybody else.
Staff were extremely friendly, cleaners especially my two boys liked to sleep in the afternoon and the cleaners used to clean our room each day working around our boys sleeps, which was really helpful.
Lots of things for the kids to do as well, my boys loved playing in the Childrens village, going on the Train, and in the Childrens pool.
Food was fantastic, very varied and fresh, meal times were a joy, as this was one of the things we had dreaded, all the staff were very friendly, my advice get there early as it did start to get very busy about an hour into each meal and highchair and table availability became a premium.
Bit of a work to the beach but the weather was nice so hey ho.
I would certainly go back again however not until the boys are a bit older as we were in bed by 8pm each night as we did not want our boys to get too tired, so we did not witness any of the entertainment so can only summise that it was of average quality.

There is a great pub across the road called the Britannia you have to go there to try the big British breakfast ideal for those with a big appetite. The staff are really friendly and when we went back to Alcudia in May they remembered who we were.
This year we couldn

The hotel Jupiter in Alcudia did not live up too any of the promises in the brochure. Although the rooms are cleaned daily they are very small and clostrophobic.
If you like chips rice and salad for every meal then it might be for you!! The keyword is repetative food and entertainment which constists of either the 'Entertainment Team' (Five people who dress up and sing Rolf Harris in different costumes) or very low rate comedians who would not get a gig in Blackpool and to see this you must be down before six o'clock to get a table.
The drinks which you queue for are mainly served in plastic childs cups and you can only get four at a time. We found the other guest to be fingering the food letting their children run wild day and nightand just leaving rubbish all over the place.
Their are four lifts which are terrible if you are travelling with a buggy God help you prepare to spend your holiday waiting for lifts.
The brochure description should be Butlins abroad however this may do an injustice to Butlins.

The hotel was constantly being cleaned morning, noon and night it was spotless. The rooms and balcony was very small so we decided to spend as little time as possible in the room.
The food was good, what you would expect of an all inclusive holiday, perhaps better. The restaurant in the Marte was constantly being cleaned, staff on hand to tidy up, plenty of tables to choose from if you didn't eat at the busy times, we ate at about 6-6.30ish most evenings. Fresh water on the table always, clean table clothes etc. Food replenished constantly. Special childrens menu at a height they could choose from.
We spent all our evenings outside the Marte which was a bit smaller and the kids could run around a bit more and you could keep an eye on them. At the larger hotel it was always packed and hard to find a table so can't comment on what the entertainment was like. The entertainment at the Marte was good, first there was a childrens disco with entertainers and this always pulled a good following of children. Then adult entertainment which was also good with lots of audience participation. The bar closed about 11.30ish which seem 'too soon' some nights but good so that people werent too roudy too late.
The complex was busy but I really wouldn't have liked to stay in high season.
Didn't have a problem with sunbeds although we chose to spend more time on the beach which was absolutely fantastic.
When we did stay in the hotel we found it great at the childrens village where there is plenty of grassed area, a small shallow pool and a park area for the children (beware of the chickens/turkeys behind the fenced area as they can be quite greedy when little fingers are poking through).
I found the alcoholic drinks and soft drinks fine, the bar supplied brand named alchol as well as Spanish makes, all of this was fine and was not watered down at all.
Hotel staff were hard working and did work long hours, perhaps some could have smiled more but the more jolly ones compensated for this.
Glasses on a night were collected constantly (no plastic cups on a night, only for childrens drinks) which was quite nice. Plastic ones during the day which I would prefer anyway with children running around.
All in all we did have a good week at the Marte despite worrying about what kind of place we were going to. The kids really enjoyed themselves and I think I would go back when they are older so that they could join in with more activities. There were plenty of things for all to do : motorised bikes to go round the huge boating lake, pedalos & swans (charge on a p.m.) a train which operated at 10.00 & 3.00p.m to go round the lake, bouncy castles and trampolines all for a small charge.
If you have booked to go to this hotel I really wouldn't worry about it at all, you will get excellent value for money if you know you are staying in a huge complex where there are lots of families with older and younger you will be fine.

The location was ok with everything nearby. We walked to
the beach many days, and this only took 15-20 minutes.
There is a patch of waste ground on the way to the beach that is littered with rubbish which was a bit off putting.
I could not really fault the food in the hotel, the stall outside making hot snacks was not so good, the burgers were very poor and the bread buns dry. The fruit stall was excellent. You can help yourself to cool fresh water from all of the bars and stalls.
The staff all spoke good English, the main and kitchen staff were the best but some of the bar staff did not even speak or smile. The cleaners did an excellent job.
The entertainment was good but got repetitive. Some shows good but were for older kids. Our daughter, nearly four, soon got bored and would have been more happy on the bouncy castle and trampoline, which you had to pay for.
We had a bad storm one day and everybody had to come inside, this is were the entrainment was very poor we had to sit near the bar and just wait for the rain to stop they did blow some balloons up for the kids but that was it.
I would say that we enjoyed our holiday and would probably go again when our daughter is a bit older.

However it was fantastic, everything was enjoyable.
The room size was large enough for a family of 4 easily, considering it is a base to sleep and wash it is more than sufficient.
The entertainment was superb, the on site entertainment team were fun, happy and put on excellent shows, the acts that the hotel had in were second to none and very enjoyable.
The kids club for the children was a bonus and kept my 3 year old entertained in a fun and safe environment for 2 hours a day when he was not in and out the pool making friends with all the other children on their holidays.
They had children

Evening meals had lots of choice and breakfast is served until 1130am in the Saturno. Loads of snack bars serving various food at each.
Sometimes had long queues at the Hotel Marte bar at night but not as bad as you would have in your local!!
Hotel was kept clean and cleaners were still going round in reception and the toilets around midnight each night. Rooms cleaned every day and fresh towels each day. TV in room but only English channel (we could find anyway) was Sky News!!
Each hotel in the complex has PC access which is 1 euro for 10 mins. Some even have webcams!
