The room, although very small was clean. The view of the mountains was lovely, although the automated rubbish compactor below wasn't so good, it was also very noisy - early in morning and late at night!!
First impressions of pool was good, it was very clean during our visit. Our children loved it. The main middle pool however became very deep very suddenly - a little disconcerting for unconfident swimmers.
The sunlounger issue was frustrating, with people bagging their sunlounger early in the morning and then not using it until late in the day!!
We DID NOT enjoy the food. It was quite obvious that food not eaten the first day was recycled into something else the next!! we were fed up with chips - even the kids asked for something else!!
After 4 days my husband could stand it no longer and insisted we went out to eat. A beautiful sea-food restaurant in the port area, the best meal we've had our 7yr old said!!
We attempted to get the bus to the beach, but ended up walking the first time as the queue was so long, it took about 15 mins but in the heat was quite difficult.
The second time we missed the bus by only 4 people, I'll be back in 10mins the bus driver said. 25mins later he turned up!! It was a 6 min ride to the beach in the bus!! We soon found out where he went for those missing minutes - the beach hut for a quick drink!!
It was 35 degrees that day, some people must have waited over an hour to get the bus.
The entertainment was OK, the children enjoyed it more than us. Mostly it was dancing and people miming to backing tapes. You had to get your seats early to watch the "shows", and be prepared to queue for the drinks.
We wouldn't go back to the Jupiter, mainly because we spent good money on a package that did'nt live up to its description.

There were good sides and bad to this hotel. We had reason to believe that people were putting towels down at about 4am every morning. We witnessed one couple putting towels on 4 sunbeds, 2 on either side of the pool so that when the sun moved over they could carry on getting burnt which I hope so. The joke is, in the end they never used the other 2 sunbeds, mind you I think it was more amusing watching that than watching the evening entertainment.
They played the same songs over again every night and drove us mad with the King Ceraticus song by Rolf Harris and the Cha Cha Slide, ok yea fun at first but in the end you want to slide on home.
Playing bingo was fun as the bingo caller was the best entertainment I saw whilst staying there.
The lifts where a joke you stand for about 15 minutes whilst the lifts would just pass on by.
The food was ok although I was put off by the fact that the fly family had a good old bash before we got any.
The slamming of doors at 1am didn't amuse us at all and my 15 year old daughter thought she'd play them at their own game and slamed our door 10 times harder. Lets just say that was the end of that matter.
We noticed that the excursions were more expensive with First Choice than Cosmos.
Another thing is I've heard of sisters being close but the Jupiter hotel and her sisters really took the biscuit the hotels were very close to one another and wasn't large enough for the number of people there.
My eldest daughter (18) said that the best part of the holiday was going to see the 'The Pirates' In all I wouldn't return to this hotel.

We never managed to get a table around the Jupiter on a night for the entertainment because you had to be down there for at least 6.30 but always got one in the Saturno where the entertainment was really good for the kids and also done karaoke for adults and games for adults which were hilarious.
The hotel is a bit out of the way of the main resort centre but not too bad if you are willing to walk (only about 15-20 minutes).
Before going on holiday I was dreading staying here but I was pleasantly surprised and I would go again - maybe not for a few years though because my daughter was a bit too young but would definitely recommend it for anyone with kids of 4-5 onwards.

I thought the staff were friendly and patient with the amount of people they had to contend with! The hotel was clean and food and drink on tap for the boys was a god send as they always seemed to be eating! These were mainly burgers or jacket potatoes from the snack bars, there were specific dining times for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The lifts (when working) were slow, much quicker to walk the stairs, luckily we were only on 5th floor - not good for pushchairs or wheelchairs but brilliant for my thighs!
The entertainment was much to be desired. Hard to get a table if not seated by 6.30pm with a long wait for any entertainment to start about 8pm when you're on your own, as the boys found friends within hours and did not want to keep mum company anymore which proved very difficult for me to get a drink without loosing my table - hence coming back with arm fulls of vodka! Only suffered this one night as I then decided to find solice in my room :(
In fact the boys really enjoyed themselves and I had to chain them to the dining room chairs for dinner before they rushed off to meet friends with a tear in their eye as mum made her way back to her 'cell' with a bottle of vodka and a book. My balcony overlooked the entertainment and no amount of double-glazed doors shut out the repetative sound of Rolf Harris's The Court of King Caractacus and Cha Cha Slide - never want to hear them again!
Although I don't agree with putting towels out first thing in the morning - believe me you had to! And I thought it was only a rumour - how naive am I? There were a few pools to choose from all of which were noisy and busy but luckily there was a quiet spot set back near the football 'cage' - well it was quiet until the ball constantly banged against the noisy fence.

When I got there I was pleasantly surprised yes it was similar to Butlins with the sun but much better. What more could you ask for with a family holiday, around the clock entertainment good pools, good food, and plenty of drink all free.
My whole family had a brilliant holiday and hope to return again.

the hotel was brill. you was a 10 minute walk into the main alcudia town, old town.thats where the market was on a sunday market.
the staff were very friendly. and helpful, although some of them we couldnt understand. the entertainment was excellent. there was music every night with a mini disco for the kids before entertainment for the adults started, which included BINGO...! i would recomend this hotel to anyone.

Price is always reflected on the actual hotel you are staying in. Don't expect to pay
