This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

Fuerteventura was windy but hot & sunny - beautiful & unspoilt , in fact the area we were in just looked as if it was in the middle of being built. Not great shopping . Although there was plenty water sports.

The resort caleta de fuste is lovely really clean. There are a wide range of restaurants to choose from and it's cheap to eat out. I recommend a chinese called the great wall.
The beach is lovely, very safe for kids and has watersports.
The sunbeds will cost you 4.50 euro each for all day.
This resort was excellent and try the trip to the oasis park zoo, you can ride camels up the hills.

The resort caters for the majority of food taste, chinese, indian, american diners, italian, mexican, english, spanish and Caribbean. There are many little bars dotted around we found a lovely little bar called havana, well worth a visit, opposite the great wall chinese restaurant down the stairs. Many gift shops selling mundane repetitive holiday products.
We can recommend the following excursions - scuba diving from the harbor, roughly £40, this lasted 2 hours and was well worth it. We also went on the whale, dolphin turtle watching catamaran, this cost £80, although we didn’t see any wales or dolphins and a very dubious turtle !!!! but again just for the experience was well worth it.
We also decided to visit correleco on the local bus service, this was an experience in itself!!. A sort of queue greeted us at the bus stop, when the bus finally showed up, there was a mad scrum, to get on, we couldn’t get on one as it was full ( of people queue jumping) we had to change in the capital del rosa, and then onto correleco. The bus driver didn’t let us down as he lived up to the stereo typical foreign bus driver.

Great Place - a little too quiet for our liking. Preferred Corelejo!

Trips out are great but don’t go to your rep, there is a place in the main centre that do trips and we found them a lot cheaper.
Food in the town is great, there is a massive choice from italian, spanish, mexican, chinese and of course the usual English places...But why would you want to go to a English place for pie and peas and chips your on your holiday try the other places.
I can recommend the rib place on your left as you walk into town; the Italian "Gambinos" under the rib place is fantastic. The Chinese in the main town is also a great place to eat and very nice people and very friendly. To be honest we ate out all the time and the prices are great, a mixed grill for £4!
English breakfast work out at around
Trips that are about are good but on the expensive side.
We went whale watching which cost around £27 (40E) each, we didn’t see whales on our first trip or dolphins, but because you don’t see anything you get the trip free until you do see. On the very next day we saw around 100 dolphins which the catamaran chases which you just have top experience.
We also went on a day trip around the island which takes you to some stunning places, the trip cost around £23 (35E), to see the island from the highest mountain just has to be seen, and we also liked the goat farm where the cheese is so cheap and very fresh.
The beaches are great; we found if you walked to the right on the beach towards the big hotels the beaches where better. There was not as much little stones.
Caleta de Fuste maybe not be so good for the older kids.
What more can I say, not sure but I think I have covered it.
"Great place, great food, great people, and a great place to just chill out."
One problem we found though was we had to come home :(

The resort has got a lot of building work going on but there again its like it everywhere these days with all the people wanting to go away.
The beach was really nice and clean. One thing though you have to step on pebbles and stones to get into the sea which I didnt like doing.
I would go back here again but will leave it for a few years just to see what has gone up and around the place.

The resort was very clean and, although the beach is manmade, it was clean and not over crowded. It cost 9 euro for 2 sunbeds and parasol for the day, which was quite reasonable.
There resort was nice and the locals were very friendly however not much going on in the way of evening entertainment. I would recommend a trip to the harbour as they have different excursions going on and you can meet Harley, the sea lion!

Caleta de Fuste is an ideal relaxing holiday.
Just enough bars and restuarants. One in particular is La Fuente the food is excellant and staff all willing to help usually on offer was a free glass of champagne while you browse the menu. Also worth a visit is Cool Runnings trike tours based under the Antigua aparthotel, is great value for money and is a brilliant way of seeing the island with your personal chaffeur.
We cant fault Caleta de Fuste we have been three times and will definately be going back next year!
