Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

Block 9027 is central and near to hub of hotel.
Don’t stay here. I would stay under a rock on the beach in Playa Blanca over this.

If you can afford it, get a suite. Overlooking the pool and the sea - perfect!

My top-rated restaurants are Camel, Bodegon Las Tapas, La Romantica, and Ninen.

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

Playa Blanca beach is lovely, very clean, the sea is very clear you can see the fish swimming around. There are lots of sunbeds so no need to rush down in morning. Nice beach bars for various types of food.

We like Playa Blanca because there are no lager louts about or if there are we have never seen them.
There is a lovely promanade and mariner and just enough shops with a good variety of merchandise

Resort is lovely and quiet with excellent beaches. There are 3 in Playa Blanca, Flamingo - Town & Dorado. Dorado is the best but the sea is very cold. But the best beach by far was Papagayo-Its outstanding. Can be reached by water taxi from the harbour. And do visit Fire Mountain the scenery is undescribable. Restaurants are plentiful and very reasonable. Cannot fault the resort at all. Plenty supermarkets selling everything you need - not expensive either. I will certain go back next year.

Playa Blanca is a nice quiet resort Ideal for anyone wanting to chill out - it is clean and tidy with a nice beach and a wonderful new marina is presently being built.
There is a great selection of restaurants on the promenade - some with music, this is not the kind of resort for anyone wanting to party all night long. I cant wait to go back next year

Half way through the 14 nights my neck went Click. Reps sent me to Natura Palace Spa. What a total gent Mike was. Facilities were superb went with the massage. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Excellent hospitality, very rarely seen now.

Playa Blanca is a very nice resort. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. The resort itself is still developing particularly towards the marina end. The marina itself looks very new with a few shops and restaurants open and more to follow.
The beach at Playa Dorada was excellent.

we were unsure as to what to expect from lanzarote and self catering as we have always gone to spain half board. i have to say that this was the most enjoyable holiday we have ever had the people, the town, everything was perfect and more.taking a 10yr old and a 6 month old baby was daunting but our sons enjoyed all the entertainment put on by the hotel and the baby were spoilt by every available pair of hands be it supermarket or restaurant.the town was a joy at night bustling with people.the restaurants were of very high standard and quick with service. the average evening meal for three was 29 euros with drinks not bad. one particular restaurant to try was restaurante cervantes it was situated a bit further down the road in the old town opposite the childrens play ship you can't miss it, it was lovely. the waiters were lovely and friendly and the canarian potatoes with mojo sauce were to die for and a real must as a starter . the steak there was pretty awesome too. the restaurants down the harbour were also of a high standard overlooking the sea with fueturventura lit in the distance. having breakfast was easy just go to brendas bar 9.30am and a full cooked breakfast with a MUG of tea was 4 euros. i hope this gives you a rough idea what playa blanca is like i can only say that 12 months is along time to revisit this lovely resort i want to go back NOW!!!!!

Playa Blanca is a quite resort but very up and coming. It was nice not to be bothered every two minutes with people trying to drag you into bars.
The beach is very clean with nice shallow waters.
There are some nice restaurants in the area and I can recommended Mollies Irish bar they have a fab singer on every night, and you can enjoy views over the bay.

Sun Tropical is a lovely place to stay, very clean. We stayed in strawberry block which was fantastic, but we used the main pool which was just a couple of minutes away. Plenty of beds, but you do need to get there quite early. Not as bad as previous holidays mind.
I can't emphasise enough how bad the food actually was. With all inclusive, you eat in a restaurant and are entitled to eat at the pizza and tex mex restaurant once a week. After three days of eating the all inclusive food we had to give up. I couldn't face another meal there. Luckily we won bingo 4 times and won about 8 hundred euros in total, so we could afford to eat out!! They really need to sort out the food as everything else was wonderful!!
We booked quite a few trips. The Volcan Grill is a must see, even our daughter who is 7 really enjoyed it, we had a meal cooked from the heat of the live volcano (best meal we had all two weeks). We also went on the yellow submarine, quite expensive but worth it. Also we went on the catamaran trip, also quite expensive but definately worth it, you get to jet ski as part of the price and meals and drinks are all included.
If you have kids then they will love the kids club, Charlie spent at least a couple of hours every day at them, which gave us a break and also kept charlie out of the sun for a couple of hours.
The whole resort was being cleaned all the time, not one complaint about that.
Overall, we really did have a great time, but would go self catering if we were to return.
Made some great friends there! So hi if anyone remembers us.

Avoid unless 2* makes you happy. Sadly- it clearly does for many guests.
