Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

Don’t stay here. I would stay under a rock on the beach in Playa Blanca over this.
Block 9027 is central and near to hub of hotel.

If you can afford it, get a suite. Overlooking the pool and the sea - perfect!

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

Playa Blanca is a wonderful step back in time. A place to recapture childhood memories of the type of old fashioned holidays we loved. No sales people no bars with tumping music a real retreat

The hotel is so close to the beach, only a 10 minute walk! Playa Dorada is lovely and there are many bars and restuarants on the seafront: I highly recommend the chinese Mandarin (fairly inexpensive and the waiters are very attentive). It also take 25 minutes to get to the newly built Marina Rubicon which is well worth it: there are some lovely restaurants such as Lanis and there is an arcade, bowling, bars and shops.
I would highly rate the excursions Thomas Cook offer: we went on the Catlanza Catamaran where you swim in the sea, jet-ski etc. We also went on the Southern Tour which takes you to the National Park, on camels, to caves, vineyards etc which was highly enjoyable.
Overall, Playa Blanca is a lovely resort (for clubs you need to be in Puerto de Carmen).

Playa Blanca is a beautiful resort and still quite Spanish which is why you go on holiday. The beach was very clean and the beds plus shade cost 7.50 euro. The beach bars were ok for price. The choice of what to eat was great, something for everyone. We ate out every day and never had a bad meal. The constat breeze in the resort is a great plus but do remember its still very hot.

Playa Blanca is a very beautiful, clean resort. It is a quieter area of Lanzarote so perfect for families. Some late night pubs and karaoke discos but very few and far between. So not clubbers paradise. The Flamingo beach sand has gradually washed away over the last 5 years we have been going there and is getting a little too rocky now-I do hope they resolve this issue as it was such a wonderful beach.

Playa Blanca is a small, quiet resort built around the fishing harbour. It has a good range of shops and restaurants but only a few bars and one "girlie" club. It is busy but never crowded and is ideal for someone wanting a bit of peace. The Marina nearby is excellent, with good markets on wednesday and saturday and some very smart eateries and bars ar fair prices. Also some upmarket shops.

The resort of playa blanca is excellent for couples and familys, its very safe to walk around even late at night, the beach is lovely and clean with loads of sunbeds, there is a large selection of really good bars and restaraunts, many of the bars have entertainment at night with live groups and singers or if you fancy a quieter night there are some lovely bars overlooking the harbour and sea, theres also quite a few supermarkets such as spar and netto and plenty of souvenir shops, theres two harbours with ferrys to fuertuventura, or day trip boats for fishing sightseeing, and even a submarine, and at the rubicon harbour commercial center even a large ten pin bowling alley, in fact playa blanca has something for just about everyone.

Nice town and pedestrian shopping area. Marina rubicon is worth a visit. Playa dorada is a great beach but beware the water shelves quite quickly and you can be out of your depth before you know it.

Avoid unless 2* makes you happy. Sadly- it clearly does for many guests.
