Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

We have visited Lanzarote 6 times and each area we have visited has always been immaculately clean. Playa Blanca was up to the same standard.
As we were situated outside Playa Blanca we have no idea about the evening entertainment there. We were quite happy staying in our hotel during the evenings.
We were disappointed as there was no beach in front of the
Hotel Dream Gran Castillo, a nice bay but fully of rocks.

There was a good selection of restaurants in the Marina area and an additional selection in Playa Blanca.

Playa Blanca suited us as it was not to crowded but with a few nice bars, Paddy Mac,s one of the Irish bars had some good music and drinks not to dear. A clean place with a very nice sandy beach, the wind blows most days but not much of a problem. A good prom that goes on for miles.
If we go back to Lanzarote we will go back to this resort but only for a week in the winter.

Out of the 10 visits I've made to Lanzarote 9 of these have been to Playa Blanca. Although the resort has grown substantially over this time the beaches are still by far the best on the island (including naturist beaches)and Playa Blanca is a quiet, clean, family orientated resort. The busy town of Puerto del Carmen is only a 15 min car/taxi ride away should you wish to let your hair down, but having said that there are more than enough places to eat and drink, some with amazing views. The new marina sports a large complex that includes a Bowling Alley, restaurants and shops.

The resort is extremely clean and the same for the lovely beaches.
Lots of nice places to eat, but not many bars with entertainment.

I loved the beaches and the walk along the seafront, its a beautiful Island and Playa Blanca is a peaceful little bit of paradise.
As I had 2 teenage kids with me we ate where they wanted to and that was at the fabulous Jumbo Chinese which we all enjoyed

Playa Blanca is a lovely resort with loads of shops and bars. There are plenty of supermarkets much cheaper and more choice than the hotel shop.
The beaches are lovely and clean well looked after.
