Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

Don’t stay here. Death would be better.

If you can afford it, get a suite. Overlooking the pool and the sea - perfect!

My top-rated restaurants are Camel, Bodegon Las Tapas, La Romantica, and Ninen.

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

Resort was very clean and the beach was brilliant, with Jet ski's to hire and the flying fish to scare the life out of you!
Very relaxing, not too noisy or busy and perfect for a family holiday.

Go to this peaceful resort if you do not want a lot of noisy bars and discos.

Hotel is situated in the Rubicon Marina which is a fairly new area. Marina has plenty of restaurants to choose from and the few that we visited were 1st class. Some designer shops are also availble for those who like a bit of retail therapy!

Even though it has grown so much, Playa Blanca still holds its charm and we love it and will be returning again.

Playa Blanca is nice and chilled out. Its got what most couples / families are looking for from a beach holiday. Plenty of restaurants and some nice little bars overlooking the sea. Definitely less lively then puerto del carmen but nice to wander round both during the day and at night.

Playa Blanca was a lovely peaceful resort, loads of restaurants and bars and entertainment if you looked for it. Saw Elvis one night in an Irish bar - he was great!!
You could get the ferry to Fuertenventura but we didn't bother - will save that for another holiday!

We love Playa Blanca and we go every year for our wedding anniversary, this will be our 4th time in sept 08.The restaraunts are mostly of a good standard and we eat out every night. The town is a good base for the trips and is not as noisy as PDC and Costa Teguise so its good for the kids. The beaches are great and the sand is nice and soft,it also gets the best weather on the island which is a bonus

Spoilt for choice is one phrase that comes to mind when thinking of Playa Blanca. There are so many lovley places to eat each evening, you won't know where to begin!
My girlfriend and I did feel rather young when we visited (we were 22 and 23), no offence to the more mature amongst you :) but we didnt feel out of place anyway and had a wonderful time, did get a few odd looks though.
As others have said, there isn't massive amount of things to do other than lie in the sunshine, have a swim and go for a nice meal and drink in the evening, but what more do you want?
A trip over to corralejo in fuerteventure to the Baku waterpark is well recommended if you fancy a day out, we're going to corralejo in 2008 as a result of our little excursion now.
The beach is very clean in playa blanca, as is the crystal clear sea. There isnt much free space if you dont want to use a sunbed, but they are dirt cheap anyway and we used them everytime.
There are plently of bars about if you fancy a drink day or night. Most bars had some form of live music on each evening and were relaxed. There were one or two night clubs but they were not fully open out of season when we went. All the bars and restaurants look out over the bay towards corralejo and enjoy lovely views of the sunset each evening.
Next to playa blanca is the fairly new development called "rubicon marina" (i think thats how its spelt). We did have a wander down there one night, i'd advise you not to waste your time, there was little or nothing to do or anywhere reaonable to eat (i think you need to own a yacth to appreciate it or to eat there). We ended up catching a cab back to good old playa blanca instead.
There is one restaurant that sticks in my mind which i would reccomend, i know its not canarian, but "jasmine's" chinese is fantastic and you even get to keep hold of the bottle and have as many shots as you like after your meal! (dont forget to look in the bottom of your shot glass!)
As for other restaurants, i'll leace you to discover them yourselves, i dont think we had any bad meals at all. Our only problem was decideng where to go.
In all, playa blanca is a great place if you want a relaxing holiday with no worries and enjoy eating out and just generally relaxing in the sunshine. I would definatly go back!

Resort was clean but there was a lot of dog mess around, the owners haven't yet to discover poop scoops!
entertainment was Ok a few bars etc, Ok if you want a quiet holiday
beach was lovely, there were bins provided and the only one's who did not use them was the locals. left their bottles on the rocks etc, good job there was a beach cleaner.

The resort is really lovely and very clean. A pleasure to see a lack of litter spattered everywhere. Lots of cafes and restaurants to eat in. Good selection of watersports for waterbabies. Golden sand and lots of sunbeds and umbrellas to make your stay on the beach that bit pleasanter. Would definitely stay in this resort again.

Avoid unless 2* makes you happy. Sadly- it clearly does for many guests.
