Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

The beach is basically on the hotel, its sandy and many people go down there. Hotel cap salou is only 10 minutes away from salou (main town) by bus, its about £1.05 for children and adults. There is a themepark and waterpark near cap salou which is called portaventura, i would visit that again, it is really enjoyable and keeps you entertained for the whloe day, but i would advise you to leave early so you miss all the ques for rides.

i thought this resort was very typical of spanish holiday resorts, very blackpool like every pub has bingo, football, karaoke, and meals are all the things you can eat at home, the shopping leaves alot to be desired, cheap bags sunglasses, cheap spanish dresses and shoes for kids, just very caterd for the british, blackpool is nearer, the people are very friendly though... the best thing about this reasort is portaventura, its an amazing theme park it takes about 2/3 days to see it all, queue's are crazy for thrill rides kiddy rides are ok, see as many shows as possible, they are so worth seeing, especially bubble show and bird show.

There are plenty of bars in Salou with entertainment. The beach is very clean although at caribe resort we had acccess to the private beach club which was excellent and transport was provide free by the hotel. This was our second visit to salou and although caribe resort was more pricey than our original hotel it was by far superior and we are definatley coming back again for 2 weeks in 2008.

The Cala Font beach was lovely but without shade for much of the day. It was reasonably clean and with plenty of rubbish bins.
We thought the sun-beds, canopies and pedaloes were quite expensive, but there were plenty of places to buy umbrellas and beach chairs close by if needed.
We spent a few evenings in Mickey's Bar - the karaoke being better than the sport being shown in the majority of the other bars. It seemed to have a 2 for 1 offer on for most of the evening.

Perfect for every age. It can be as quiet and relaxed or as lively as you like. Lots of bars, restaurants and close to the Portaventurer theme park, a must for all kids and young couples although we went in high season and you have to be prepared to queue for an hour and a half for the major rides during the day. My advice would be to go late when queues are smaller and weather is cooler.
The beach is lovely white sands and the water is perfect for children with shallow waters . Pedlos with slides for hire as are jet skis ,wind surfs , miniture hovercrafts etc. Large promenade lined with exotic trees and plants and an array of shops. PERFECT !!!!!!!!

The resort was very clean. During the night the usual Spanish 'clean sweep' takes place. But even during the day street cleaners could be seen. Also the bins along the front and beach were never left full for long.
Along the beach front you could find a selection of wooden hut bars. Gift shops, bars and restaurants.
The beach was very clean. The only problem seemed to be the large amount of disgarded cigarettes.
We would go back to this resort again.

The resort was kept really clean with a lot of different entertainment going on, there was plenty on the beach to keep the kids entertained and I would certainly visit the resort again

Resort Cleanliness: it is a very clean resort apart from when it rains all you can smell is the sewers, which if your eating can put you off, along with the Bins that are left on the side of the road which must be full of rotten food because they really do smell.
Resort Entertainment: Again Sanguli have not catered for the English they seem to cater more for the spanish. Noise levels from the Amphitheatre is annoying as you cannot understand whats being said anyway.
Beach Standard: The beach is very clean and now the local authority have employed a chap to go around the beach picking any litter up from the lazy burgers who cannot be bothered to take their rubbish and put it into the bin which is only a few feet away. other than this the Resort is fantastic and would recommend anyone wanting to visit Salou to do so it is a great place, Oh i have one last warning if your planning to visit Port Aventura be aware of the soaring costs which in our opinion is not worth the money you would be better off taking your kids to disneyland Paris on the way home if your on a self drive holiday but if your determined to go to Port Aventura then buy your tickets in britain before departure you get a better deal and also beware of the long waiting times up to 2 hours for some rides.
