Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

Icmeler is a loveley resort not over comercialised but enough going on to keep you occupied. The resort is very clean, and the beach well looked after, would definateley return.

The resort was great, ample restaurants and entertaiment night and day. beaches were great too, and if you wanted to go somewhere different it's not far from Marmaris.
Met some fantastic people both Turkish and & English which made our holiday.

Icmeler has changed a bit since we last went in 06. Cleanliness is still good and the mosquito man goes round early every morning spraying the resort. I only got one bite and the rest of the family didnt get any.
The standard of food in all the restaurants is very high and still good value although prices have gone up a bit since our last visit. Average price for 2 Adults and 2 kids with a couple of drinks each is around 80-100 lira although you can get a lot of set menus slightly less which are usually good value but the drinks usually hike up the price.
Entertainment is the same everywhere, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner and Elvis Impersonations aplenty as well as the staff dancing, balancing drinks and generally abusing us poor holidaymakers (In a nice way of course) All music goes off at 12 although you can still sit in the bars and drink for an hour or so after. There are 2 nightclubs if you want to stay up.
The Tansas supermarket is very well stocked with everything that would be in our smaller supermarkets over here although there are lots of small supermarkets scattered around the resort. There is a Wednesday market if you fancy haggling but beware a lot of the stuff is well overpriced and you can sometimes find it cheaper in the small shops anyway so look around first.
Lots of boat trips but try and get one recommended as we went on one that was very overcrowded and not everyone got a sunbed. Always take water as the prices on our boattrip for the drinks/ice cream were overpriced. The Jeep Safaris are great fun and the highlight of our holiday, just make sure you buy a decent water gun in the resort or from home as they will try and rent you an old battered one for £5!!
Beach is ok but it is not sandy more like a sort of grey grit, not particularly attractive. Some sunbeds are free if you buy drinks at the bar that is next to them. People are generally very friendly but I think money is a bit tight this year and you can get ripped off if you are not careful. Hassle is still going on but the Hassle police are around and will close down a restaurant if they see them hassling, sometimes for days at a time. Still a lovely place to go but hope it doesnt go the way of the larger commercial resorts as it is showing small signs of doing as it will be spoiled and a beautiful, friendly resort will be lost.

to me icmeler was a very clean and well kept resort and i was pleasently surprised after been to other resorts in turkey. 70 percent of the bars have some kind of entertainment on ranging from tina turner impersonaters to very young michael jackson and elvis presley lookalikes. so if you are a fan of any of these then its the place to go. the beach is very clean and the local beach front bars make your hoiday even more relaxing by waiting on you hand and foot while you just soak up the sun on your lounger by bringing your drinks and food straight to your lap. great.

Icmeler has something for everyone, plenty of restaurants.bars ,music bars ,these can get quiet loud but the music is turned very low at midnight. It is also quiet compact so you never have far to walk which is a good job in July as it is very hot.Mamaris is a short dolmuch ride away or you can walk to it on the seafront .
Turunch is worth a visit; you can go over the mountain by dolmuch 5Lire,or by water taxi 7.5Lire

The only problem i had with this resort is the shops, bars and restraunts!!! I know they are trying to make a living by why cant they take no for an answer???
We went past the same restraunts every night and got hassell. I thought once theyd seen your face around theyd leave you alone (they do in bodrum) but on the whole they resort was lovely.

resort cleanliness was wonderful.....
entertainment was either boom boom bars which seem to have sprung up all over, or the usual nice bars/restaurants with the waiters dancing. was quite upset when in dreamboys a little lad of about 8 was up on the podium, or on the bar, shirt off and dancing very suggestive. so we left.
only walked past the beach, but it looked very well kept and clean.
caught the water taxi back from turunc, cost 7.5 lira each, and did an ICR jeep safari, which was a brilliant day.
seemed to be lots of flies this year, and wasps, and we didnt see the sprayer going round like before....
we will go back, but after next year, have to say no....its getting to like marmaris, and loosing its charm due to loud music and rising prices.
