DON"T CHOOSE THIS HOTEL, PLEASE!!!
Last year I really needed a vacation and just to be sure, I bought two tickets through a travel agency since February cause I wanted to make sure that I will have a well-deserved vacation that year.
We arrived at 12.00 in the midnight after 3 long hour with the bus from the airport. At the reception SURPRISE: the receptionist is telling me very flower-power that "we don't have any free room. But we can offer you for this night an accomodation is the Blue Bay Hotel which is like it's "brother" in the backyard. In the meantime, another turists arrived, all with tickets and receiving the same answer. We had to argue like 3 hours with no results. Ana shockingly, the receptionist is telling me that THIS IS SOMETHING NORMAL IN MARMARIS !!!!!
We were tired and nervous so we had to go in the other hotel, we received a room which , by the way, was durty, with sheets and towels already used by the previous tourists.
After this terrible night, we went in OUR hotel to have the breakfast and again a really bad suprise: very few choices, not all the courses were fresh, the table clothes had spots etc.
The solution was to argue with our travel agency and after another lost day, we received another accomodation which was ok.
Another thing: Marmaris is not what it was 5 years ago. Very noisy, lot's of disco-places with loud music, the services are not like before, and you have the feeling that the Turkish people are trying to empale you on each step.

PS: The hotel is far far away from the sea, it has a huge place with bowers in front of it, and you have to make a detour in order to go to the beach.

When we arrived we were very impressed with the hotel, it looked exactly as it does on the internet which was a relief.

We checked in with no problems and was even upgraded as we were on our honeymoon!

The reception staff seemed nice but didn't speak good english, which I suppose could be frustrating if you had a problem.

The food was good, concidering they have to cater for all cultures, they have chips on every night which i suppose would be good for children.

The hotel and pool area was very clean.

The entertainment team were good too, they played good tunes whilst we laid by the pool, they did play he music loud but we liked that, but older couples may not like that.

There was lots of Russian guests staying which were very rude and would push to the front in the restaurant. No manners at all!

But to sum up we had a great, relaxing time at blue bays and met some great english guests, we would defo come again.

Thankyou

This is possibly the best holiday I have EVER had! Apart from sleeping on the sofa the rooms were very clean.

The food could have been improved as it did not have mant different varieties each night. There is one thing i would like to note: There were chickens playing musical instruments on display and were left there for 2 days! Salmonella city, that's what i would call it!

Anyway, the Pol-Kar entertainment team are the best ever! They are so kind and its such a good job to be able to socialise with other people. They are lovely and i am coming back in the summer! One entertainer in particular was always saying at breakfast 'enjoy your meal' it sounded so sweet! The team are always happy to give you a hug when you are leaving and i am missing them greatly...

I would reccommend this hotel to everyone!

I stayed at the blue bays hotel in September 07 with my partner and 12yr old son the flight with flyjet was delayed for nearly 3 hrs.

Once arrived at the hotel was really pleased hotel was spotlessly clean got all inclusive bands and even though was booked as 3 we had to tell hotel staff to get wristband for my son.

Was shown to our room and again no bed there for him I know its only a camp bed but they knew we were coming went and got bed for him I made that up by this time it was nearly 7am got into bed the welcome meeting was for 10.30 no chance of us ever making that was really pleased with the room we were on the ground floor so couldn

The only good thing about this hotel is the location which is brilliant.
The food was so disgusting that we ate out more than we ate in. If you dont mind your kids eating nothing but chips for the whole holiday then maybe this is the hotel for you.If you like cold battered brussel sprouts then maybe you will like it here .
Half way through our first week there was poo in the pool it was reported to a member of staff about 20 mins later he turned up with a net and scooped it out and expected people to jump straight back in this happened four times in the space of a hour it was disgusting. As i wouldnt let my son go in the water we thought we would try the indoor pool which again had poo in the corner which had also been smeared up the wall it looked like it had been there for quite some time as it was a dried in to the floor and walls,i reported this to reception which again took ages for someone to come and clean it up.
Also make sure your alarm is set for around 4am to garantee a sunbed i sat and watched people throwing towels down from their balconies at 9.30pm so their partners could put them on the beds for the following day.
Drinks are a total rip off for all inclusive they give you a tiny plastic beaker like you would take on a camping trip. They only seem to give ice to the self catering people aswell unless you ask for it then they will give you one ice cube.
This was my first ever all inc and i am sure to say i will never try it again my idea of all inc was the resturant would be open for you to grab a snack all day this hotel opens theirs for a few hours so again set your alarms for breakfast if you are not in the resturant by 9.30am at the latest then you will get nothing to eat as they close at 10.
we went on a trip and didnt get back until 9.30pm the resturant closed at 10 but they wouldnt allow us in as we were covered in mud from the trip we done so by the time 3 of showered and got changed we missed our dinner so then had to take the little one out for something to eat as they wouldnt give us anything to take to our room.
Thankfully this hasnt put us off going to marmaris we came home a booked up for nexy year already in a lower stared but much better hotel

My sister, nephew and I arrived at this hotel at 4am, absolutely exhausted, only to be told that there were no spare rooms and that we would have to wait until 2pm for our room! OR surprise surprise, we could stay next door in their sister hotel- the 3* Blue Bays. We were adamant that we had paid to stay in 5* accomodation and we would wait until a room became free.
The male receptionist treated this matter like it was a big joke and him and a male colleague were actually laughing and smirking! He then asked if we wanted to stay in the TV room until a room became available (to keep us hidden no doubt). I told him that we would set up camp in the main reception area so that all the other guests could see the disgraceful way we were being treated.
To his credit though, the receptionist did offer us breakfast at 7:30am but this was the least he could do really as we had already paid for a week long stay on an AI basis.
At 9am, 2 other guests arrived at the hotel. Again, there was no room available for them. What really wound us up though was when the female receptionist told them that a room would be ready for them in 20 mins. Never mind the fact that we had been waiting a mere 5 hours and my 6 year old nephew was left to sleep on the sofa- hardly 5* is it?!!!
After yet more complaining, we finally had our room at 10:30 and we were given a free upgrade to the junior suite to make up for the inconvenience. I should think so too!
Anyway, the room itself was nice and clean and spacious and the view from the balcony was great. The room also had a decent sized fridge and a TV (only 1 or 2 English channels though). The room did have air-con which worked absolutely fine on our 1st day, but then it wasn't very effective after then. We spoke to other guests who said the same thing had happened to them. I think the settings on the air-con were prob changed to save electric!
Before booking this hotel, I was led to believe that this hotel was on the beachfront. In actual fact, it is a few mins walk along a dirt track. Still, at least you're not stuck in the middle of nowhere having to rely on the dolmuses.
What we did notice was that there were absolutely loads of Russians staying at this hotel and they were the main culprits who put their towels on the sunloungers before the crack of dawn. (We witnessed this when we were waiting for our room. A group of them got up at 5:30am and then proceeded to put their towels down- unbelievable!) The hotel has got notices displayed, which says that people aren't allowed to put towels on sunloungers until after 9am, or staff will remove them. These notices had no effect whatsoever. This resulted in us 3 not even spending 1 day at the hotel due to there being no free sunbeds. This was at 7:30am!!!
The food was ok, not really 5* standard though. Sometimes, we would have some weird food combinations on our plates as this was the only food we liked!
I think that the glasses used behind the bar were far too small. Oh yeah, and there was an unsolved mystery at the pool bar... Whenever we ordered Sprite, it tasted like Dandelion and Burdock- weird!
The staff were really friendly, some overly-friendly though! One or two kept trying to invite themselves out with us in the nights, asking us what bars we were going to, and then asking us to meet them at a certain time. We would have to keep telling them we didn't know where we were going to be. When we saw the waiters the next day, they would demand to know why we didn't meet them- take the hint!
As well as the hassle on the streets to book diff trips, one of the waiters would pester us morning noon and night when we were trying to eat. He wanted us to book a boat trip with his friend, and would proceed to show us the photo album of the trip every single day. Honestly, we couldn't even eat in peace!
As we had a 6 yr old with us, we were keen to see what the kids club would be like. We chose not to bother with this when one of the other guests told us that the kids club was held in one room and is apparantly quite a walk from the pool area.I found this quite odd- what child wants to be kept in a room when it is so hot outside? Other hotels we have stayed at in Turkey who have kids club do outdoor activities eg mini-golf, pool games etc.
I can't really comment on the entertainment night or day, as we didn't spend much time here.
In the daytime, we went to the waterpark a few times. We would never pay the asking price though, which was 25 lira each (approx

Were do i start, the air condition is a must(depending what part of the year you go),but its only in one room, meaning who ever sleeps in the other room wont get the benefit of it,this having to rent a fan from the hotel(if they have any spare)we found the rooms needed much refurbished, and the beds very very uncomfortable. There was maid service every day, which we couldn't fault at all,but most of the staff were a right misery. No TV in the room, but you can rent one.
The pool was very nice, but must point out we never saw any one cleaning it.
As a 4 star rating ,i would give more of a 3.We have never known apartments to have so many complaints. We wont be returning to the bluebays .
