we arrived @ hotel only to be told that we was to be staying at blue bays-oh dear we thought here we go!!well we arrived after the journey from hell,in a mini bus, squashed with no air con.arrived at 5 am and to knackered to argue we was shown our room,we thought we would complain later to the rep about the hotel switch.room was really depressing, one was like a box,the other had twin beds,we was given a self catering apartment,i am glad we was not to use the squipment cos it looked dangerous!!!!anyway trying to think positively we awoke, too late for breakfast,we was due to meet our rep at 1pm,so we went downstairs by the pool, this was 11am,all the sunbeds had gone!we sat by the patcha bar and we had a few vodkas and cokes, well we found our rep and we should have insisted we go to our original hotel as arranged, but the vodka kicked in and we agreed to stay at the hotel,as we was offered a turkish bath, and a city trip,oh my god i must be so easily pleased!!anyway breifly the food was terrible apart fom the bread....im not fussy and even i found it all too hard to stomach, salads that was swimming in oil,it was sipid.the drinks served in plastic beakers the sunbeds too close together,if there was any available, all in all the holiday was great as we went on a day trp and boat and we ate out all the time so we spent little time in the hotel, btw, last day we was moved to the nicer hotel quarters cos of a leak in our room!!!onur air flight was good if not a bit basic!!

Upon arrival at the hotel we were told they had received our booking late and therefore did not have a room for us .They could put is in their sister hotel which is also the Blue Bays Hotel but not deluxe. They would move us at 12 or 1300hrs the next day.

We had read reviews that warned of this so we were adamant about not accepting this as our booking had been accepted as far as we were concerned. We were told we could speak to a rep that was at present speaking to some other guests. We waited at reception and spoke to her and explained that as our booking had been accepted we were not prepared to accept the compensation of a

The hotel is in a perfect location & is spotlessly clean with a brilliant atmosphere! But there are many negative points I'd like to make!

The all inclusive package is the worst I've ever experienced! There is a snack bar, but the food has to be paid for! There is ice cream, but again it isn't part of the all inclusive, I've never known that before!

The 'locally produced' drinks only include soft drinks, gin, vodka, whisky & watery beer! I've never been on an all inclusive where you have to pay for vodka, martini etc! also' if you're all inclusive be prepared to take 2nd place to those on self-catering, they get 1st priority at the bar, because they're paying!

Be prepared to wake at 4.30am if you want the sunbeds that catch the sun from 11am till 6pm, the rest only catch the sun for about 4hrs!

Although the hotel is immaculate, there seems to be a problem with the pools! I've never known so many people with ear infections after being in the pool. Also' the amount of people with severe stomach problems was quite worrying! plus our last 3 days were spent watching a man walk round the pool with a net, fishing out lumps of excrement, apparently due to a drainage problem which had already closed the indoor pool 4 days earlier!

Who wants to go in the pool after that? One word of advice - if you hire one of the safes behind reception, remove the safe number out of your key fob! The safes need a master key along with your personal key but when you ask for the master key no-one asks for proof of your ID.

I put it to the test 5 times with keys from other guests & was able to obtain the master key all 5 times, so if your key gets stolen the culprit will have instant access to your belongings!!!

We had a great holiday but wouldn't go back, it was only half the quality of the hotel we went to in Turkey last year!

I'm 13 years old and I'm reporting on my stay in the Blue Bays Apartments. We visited late July - early August and, obviously, it was very busy there with many people; children, Dutch families, adults, teenagers etc. The facilities there: the slides, bar, indoor pool, "gym", sauna etc, were not great. The slides were good, but, children will go on them when they are "closed" and may get burnt like I did from them as no water runs down them at the "closed" times and the slides are in the sun and get very hot. The indoor pool was freezing cold, the "gym" consisted of two machines in a room, as far as I know the sauna was never open and the bar had friendly staff but it took a while for you to get served unless you put your money on show. The pool was sometimes warm but as they were tall buildings around the hotel, the sun was not on the pool. They were not enough sunbeds around the pool and my father had to get up at 6am to get the sunbeds and eventually we just had to put our towels down when we came back at night like many other people. The maids were excellent and very understanding and we always got plenty of toilet roll and enough towels, if they came to clean and you were still in the room, as they put their card in the door it would tell them that somebody was still in the room so they couldn't go in. The beds in the room, although, were not very comfortable at all and sleeping on the sofa bed is like sleeping on a bed of needles. The "kitchen" consisted of two rings, a kettle, a sink and bad fridge. I would also recommend that you get air conditioning, even though it is expensive, it is a must-have as it can be sweltering in the apartments without it. During the day they are many activities to do; morning gym, aqua gym, belly dancing, darts, water polo etc. Also, a few problems with the pool and pool side, we came back to the hotel one day and went to get in the pool to be told that somebody had poohed in the pool and in the indoor pool and smeared the pooh up the wall and it wasn't cleaned, at the pool side, there is a large drain and some very slippery tiles, people slipped on those tiles and reports were made and nothing was done about it. As we never ate in the hotel, I can't comment on the standard of the food but the food in the "Il Primo" bar was nice. I will recommend very highly the restaurant owned over the other side of the road of the hotel called Piccadilly restaurant, it has great food, great service and great entertainment and the staff are great and very helpful. I would also recommend Faros The Brothers beach bar on the beach front; good entertainment and it was very amusing to see "Captain Jack Sparrow" the barman! It was great that the beach was just around the corner to the hotel and the sunbeds were free as long as you ate and drank at the place behind you.
Marmaris is great with the temperature being lovely and warm all day and night! The Turkish people are very hospitable and nice and only too glad to be at your service. Hopefully we are going back to Marmaris again next year but I am not sure if we are going to the Blue Bays, the Deluxe Hotel looks very nice at the staff there are a lot nicer and friendlier. I would rate this hotel a 3*.

On arrival at the blue bays deluxe hotel we were all impressed with the fancy lighting and glass lifts etc..it really is modern and lovely. We were given two rooms, one was the standard double room and the other a family room which was much bigger.

The double room was quite small, but clean and modern and all you really need for two people I suppose. The family room had a living room area and separate bedroom and was also clean and tidy and a great size. Both were on the top floor (5th) and so the view from the balcony wasn't brilliant, but it isn't good from any room really, as the hotel is just surrounded by other hotels.

It was tea time at the hotel when we arrived so we went down to the main restaurant and took one look and walked back out again - lots of salad etc but not much choice of hot food. However through the week we did eat quite a few meals at the hotel and some of it was quite nice, there is usually around 4 things to choose from as well as chips and soup and a lot of salad.

Breakfast is okay but dont expect a full English as its not! The food was not what we expected at all really, so we ate out most of the time but its okay, and we are all fussy eaters.

With your all inclusive wrist band you can only get certain drinks, like vodka, gin, brandy, larger, etc but no imports - all of these have to be paid for!

And all inclusive stops at 11.30 so you pay for everything after this. You can use the gym which is good and the steam and sauna room with the band, but you have to pay for Turkish bath and massages etc..and although u can use the indoor pool you have to pay to go in the jacuzzi!

The location of the hotel is okay, at first it seemed rubbish but when you realise where everything is, its actually really good, because its close enough to everywhere.

For nightlife I would recommend Long beach rather than bar street as bar street is so expensive for drinks and full of locals rather than people on holiday. Although there are some great clubs there!

Long beach is very close to the hotel and along the beach (about a 5 min walk). You can find some good entertainment down there for kids in the bars but there are also plenty of clubs.

We done 3 trips out - the quad safari, jeep safari and dalyan boat trip to the mud baths/turtle beach. All were good value for money and excellent days out so would recommend them!!

We also went to Atlantis water park which is about a 3 min walk from the hotel and this was good, a change from the hotel pool and there are some good slides there although it is quite a small water park compared to others we've been to.

Overall I think the blue bays deluxe is a good hotel its clean and modern with a good location but I wouldn't recommend going all inclusive there as it would be hard to get your money's worth unless you are going to drink a lot of vodka, larger etc and eat the food. We got a cheap last minute deal that worked out cheaper than a self catering holiday so we were not bothered about spending money going out to eat, etc. But if you paid full price I feel you would be disappointed.

Had a great holiday apart from us all getting food poisoning on the last day and having to fly home with it (not sure if this was from the hotel food or food on the boat trip so I won't blame anyone!). If you are going the blue bays deluxe you will have a great time! Its a nice hotel to stay in. We wont be going back to marmaris as it is expensive now to eat out and for drinks, etc..but maybe this is because we have been to Bulgaria 3 times in the past 2 years and there it is so cheap in comparison!

What can i say, well having being mislead and told over teletext it was 5*, well what a huge disappointment we had. On arrival we realised straight away it was a 3*, unlike the rep who suggests its 4*.

We had an awful start the receptionist kept looking at our booking and told us to take a seat, then a good 15mins later a bell boy who couldnt speak english motioned for us to follow. We followed him with all our baggage through a pool area, up and down a set of stairs, through a gate another pool area and up another flight of stairs to another reception, and was greeted with "oh would you like a room for the night".
After explaining we should be in the deluxe hotel she said it was fully booked and that we had to stay there.
We were shown our room, which was absolutely awful. My husband and I have travelled for many years in 5* hotels and all inc and know what to expect. The corridors were full of beer glasses and my husband slipped on a glass plate, and the room, well it was shabby, the fridge rusty, the cupboards had stains, it smelt and the door handle was missing from the patio door leaving a gap, and the view, well it was looking onto a concrete building which was ready to be pulled down.

We refused to stay and meraculously we were found two rooms in the deluxe, which were nice. we were really fed up by now having had to drag our cases all the way back.

The food was very basic, one choice of meat and one of fish and plenty of salad, but became boring, the same every day. The bars were constantly running out of ice and local drinks.

Loud music blared away each day (Rap music), no peace. The staff well some were lovely but there were some who were awful. Serving others in the restaraunt for drinks and when they cant be bothered telling you no its self service get your own.

Also when my first visit to the bar the barman put his hands in my bikini top wanting to know what number I was. Also at the pool bar, I asked the barman for a glass instead of the awful plastic beakers, as I was sitting at the bar and not the pool, he said no, and then served the next couple straight with glasses. Some of them are just there to wind you up.

This was an awful hotel, great if you have never experienced luxury before. I would say it would make a great 18 to 30`s holiday, nothing more.

Also no entertainment and no snack bar.
But plenty of prostitutes shown up to rooms.

Blue Bays hotel in Mamaris is definitly the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotels cleanliness in top notch. maid is in everyday. Bathrooms are spotless, Bed is made they also give you clean towels everyday.Rooms are nice and of ok size.

All inclusive food is pretty good although they do not cater very well for children.

The hotels location is really good 1 min walk from supermarket and its only a 5 minute walk to the beach front. The hotel is on a main road next to a lot of nice restaurants

What can I say about the hotel staff they were great especially the bar staff, Every one was really nice

Entertainment was great different every night also there was a mini disco for kids before adults entertainment the animation team were professionals and were very good with kids and also with adults. There is entertainment in the day like waterpolo aqua strectchs and aqua aerobics.

I would definitly visit this hotel again I am looking in to going again next year I would highly recommend this hotel.

arrived at the hotel and was intitally very impressed. i had booked a twin room and a suite, and was very happy to learn that i had actually been allocated the grand suite!!
the reality wasn't lng setting in. the food was diabolical. we were there for 2 weeks and only ate in the restaurant 3 time, and 2 of those were breakfast.
the food was either gone off or raw!! i was so disgusted that i complained to the Rep who said that she was aware of the problem and that it was an ongoing issue with the hotel.
the staff were also rude and very inappropriate towards young girls. i had my 16 yr old and 21 yr old sisters with me, and had to threaten the waiters on several occasions. i was also very put off by the number of russians at the hotel, and the resort as a whole. the majority of whom were prostituting themselves. they were very ignorant and i was not happy about the way they behaved in front of my 2 yr old daughter - which i quickly informed them!!
i have been to Marmaris on may occasions, and i think i can honestly say that i wont be back. there is no way that this hotel is 4* and certainly not work going all inclusive.
on a more positive note the turkish baths in the hotel are amazing!! they are definately worth paying the extra money. Mehmet from the baths is a little darling and will go out of his way to help.
So DONT STAY AT THIS HOTEL, BUT VISIT THE TURKISH BATHS!!

We went to bluebays in june 07 and thoroughly enjoyed it, it amazes me that a 13 yr old child can comment on the slides while they are closed. It was great, didn't eat there went to il piato which was great food and great staff (rooney) cant remember anyone else. i give it all a 10/10 and we will be returning hopefully in 09. All Inclusive looked quite dissapointing but we enjoyed it as SC. great holiday it's a must!!!!
