Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

Don’t stay here. Death would be better.

If you can afford it, get a suite. Overlooking the pool and the sea - perfect!

My top-rated restaurants are Camel, Bodegon Las Tapas, La Romantica, and Ninen.

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

Beaches

The resort needed some attention giving to the beach, as it was wiped out by the tail end of the hurricane last november, so it wasn't easy to find a few feet of sand.

Again there is no beach at the rubicon, apparently, it was washed away in the delta tropical storm back in Nov 2005.
Would not visit again because there did not seem to be any hotels that were on the beach.

Resort - well it was quite quiet at this time of year and found to be very clean for the most part throughout. All bars and restaurants were clean and generally of a high standard. Entertainment was limited to a few clubs, bars etc within the resort. The beach did look very clean though to be fair we did not venture onto it as the weather was not conducive to this. Generally would visit the resort again but would pay attention to the hotel more.

All of Playa blanca was clean, Unfortunatly the weather didnt permit us to go to the beach enough. Would suggest Jumbo (great chinese), Brisa del Mar (fantastic meat and seafood) and Steve's Balti house (great indian)

The resort entertainment was somewhat poor, but we didn't worry about it, because we love classical music like beethoven, mozart and haendel.
Beach is very poor, but we were not interested to swim in the cold ocean, so we didn't miss anything.
We will visit again the resort, because the landscape and nature are wonderful, although in january.

Playa Blanca is a very good resort but set to become massive. Clean and plenty of long walks along a very well maintained promenade. Lovely new marina well worth a visit. Only downside was the restaurants, would only recommend the Chinese of which there are several, especially Asia at Flamingo Beach and Jasmine in the old town. Otherwise standards were poor, cold food served on cold plates, hardly any veg or salad. Two good Netto Supermarkets in town area very good wine selection. Visited Fuerteventura. Prices have risen on the ferries but well worth the visit. Totally different from Lanzarote. Corralejo lively resort with plenty of shops and restaurants. Watch out for time share.

We enjoyed the walk to the resort but there was not much to do or see when you got there. Plenty of "English bars" if you like that sort of thing.
Excellent Chinese at the Jasmine. Really good food, excellent service and all for a reasonable price.

Playa Blanca is very laid back and quiet. There are a few bars and a childrens play area. The area is mainly purpose built for tourism, so its mainly hotels, apartments and netto supermarkets! If you want a lively area, Puerto del Carmen would be more suitable

Nice enough area, very quiet when we were there, however is was January so didn't expect much to be happening.

Avoid unless 2* makes you happy. Sadly- it clearly does for many guests.
