Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

Don’t stay here. Death would be better.
Don’t stay here. I would stay under a rock on the beach in Playa Blanca over this.

If you can afford it, get a suite. Overlooking the pool and the sea - perfect!

My top-rated restaurants are Camel, Bodegon Las Tapas, La Romantica, and Ninen.

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

Didn't go into the resort much, only about 4 times out of the 2 weeks we were there. It's not very big and each time we ate out the food wasn;t very nice at all. Much preferred staying at the Hotel.

Playa Barca is a couple of km. from Costa Calma and is none existent apart fom a couple of hotels.
The beach is absolutely huge with crystal clear water and used by wind/kite surfers , sailers , naturists and families. It is not crowded.
Costa Calmer has several small beaches or coves which were quite busy but clean.
The town has a number of small shopping centres, resturants and bars, also a local market.
Entertainment is found mainly in the hotels.

We think that Playa Blanca is the best resort in Lanzarote. The area is beautiful in the scenary department and the town its self is not noisy or rowdy but there are plenty of bars and restaurants not to forget the shops.

The resort of Playa Blanca is a very nice place with plenty of bars and restaurants for everyone even a couple of clubs for those who want that sort of entertainment. And the new Marina that they have built is exelent for everything

Resort is quite quiet but has a marina nearby which is worth a visit.
Local beach excellent with shuttle bus provided by hotel.

This holiday was great for us, but there isn't much in the way of beaches There are a couple of sandy beaches but they are not that big.
The resort itself is quite small, but plenty of restaurants and a few bars as well.
There is a good walk away from the town to the lighthouse, with some good rocky areas to sit and relax on when you get there.
There is also a red mountain - a small volcano that you can walk up, - there is a path of sorts. You could always try amn ascent up the cliff side of it, but unless you are wearing strong jeans, you are likely to end up a little cut! The views from the top are brilliant.
No touts, or crowds, the place for us was excellent, one that we would definitely visit again. Almost everyone we had met, had been there before

Loved Playa Blanca. The mixture of shops and restaurants were fantastic. Nothing tacky like some other resorts in Lanzarote. The marina area is beautiful.

The area surrounding the Papagayo Arena is very untidy and on the 5 minute walk to the Papagayo beach there are a number of piles of rubbish as if someone has been fly tipping ( look out for the wellie on a stick). The beach was very nice though and was totally unspoilt, there are no shops or toilets and depending which route you take to get there, its a bit like "Touching The Void" in places.
The Marina Rubicon area is very nice indeed and when we return we will look to stay in this area as there is a very chilled out friendly atmosphere about the place.

Playa Blanca is lovely and clean with plenty of shops, and eating places, although I have to admit to being chased down the street by a shop-keeper desperate for a sale!!

Avoid unless 2* makes you happy. Sadly- it clearly does for many guests.
