Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

If you can afford it, get a suite. Overlooking the pool and the sea - perfect!

My top-rated restaurants are Camel, Bodegon Las Tapas, La Romantica, and Ninen.

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

Playa Palma is a small resort but with plenty of ways to shop perfume shops abound along with electrical sellers please note prices are very similiar to uk prices so real bargins had to come by. A regular ferry service runs every hour over to Feneventura cost £22 return per adult in terms of the resort cleanliness we noted general litter on the way to the beach each day, the beach however was clean with plenty of litter bins and regular cleaning. if you are looking for night clubs and generally a mad for it holiday go to Puerto Carmen if on the otherhand you just want to relax Playa Palma is the place for you.

Playa Blanca is a nice quiet resort with a goood selection of bars and resturants to suit most tastes. The roads and pavements are clean and one never see's overflowing waste bins (as they are emptied two or three times a day)
Some of the resort entertainment is a little "cheesie" but ok if you like that sort of thing (we don't) but there are lots of lovely walks and the market at Marina Rubicon was very good for souvenirs.
Some of the beach's are quite rocky but good fun for rock pooling.

We stayed in Playa Blanca and will definitely return. We hired a car and toured the Island.

The front of this resort was excellent with bars and shops along a mile or so. It wasn't too noisy and we noticed a lack of entertainment (maybe because it was winter).
There were 2 good beaches probably man made with decent sand (not black) but shelved down fairly steeply into the sea then levelled out. There were some good shops behind the main promenade, on the port side of the resort selling the usual tourist things but with some more unusual outlets as well.We enjoyed what we ate while we were there with a good variety of different quisine.
The sea front was kept very clean but some of the areas leading down to the resort were a bit unkempt with bits of rubbish, unfinished pavements and dirt tracks.
One noticeable thing was a decent police patrol regularly checking the area, especially at night which was reassuring, not that we saw a sign of trouble.

Playa Blanca is an immaculate village/town with a good choice of restaurants.Nightlife is low key with most entertainment hotel based.
The beach opposite Princessa Yaiza hotel is superb and has a wide range of watersports available.
A walk to the Rubicon Marina is a must as it has some wonderful shops, cafes and restaurants.
We would certainly return to the Sun Beach and Playa Blanca

i cant really comment on this as we stayed in the complex nearly all the time (we never saw the beach) but visited puerto del carmen which is lovely.

Playa Blanca was beautiful. Quiet in December so might be better to go earlier in the year if you like it a bit busier. Very clean and friendly. Think its more aimed at families and couples looking for a quieter holiday as it has a few pubs but i never seen any disco's. Its a lovely resort and we never got bothered by any 'looky look men'. Only one person asked us into their restaurant! which is fantastic as in other places you are hounded.

Have visited Playa Blanca many times times, and will return again. Lovely beaches, great places to eat, some off of the beaten track , marvelous new marina complete with swimming pool and very clean changing areas which costs 5 euros to use, cafes, bars lovely shops etc. Night life is very low key .This resort is definetly not for party animals.

A good clean resort with plenty of shops and bars and plenty of places to go and explore.
The beach was very clean and there were lots of sun beds and shades to hire on a daily basis (2.5 euros each per day)

Resor is quite quiet but has everything on offer. Live music and quieter bars. Restraunts are good - We ate at the Slow Boat chinese which is on this road. Absoulty brilliant. You can change any dishes in the banquet. The duck is lovely. Also the restraunt next to the Jumbo chinese is nice - try the Canarian Potatos they are the best.

Avoid unless 2* makes you happy. Sadly- it clearly does for many guests.
