Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

Don’t stay here. I would stay under a rock on the beach in Playa Blanca over this.
Don’t stay here. Death would be better.

If you can afford it, get a suite. Overlooking the pool and the sea - perfect!

My top-rated restaurants are Camel, Bodegon Las Tapas, La Romantica, and Ninen.

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

found playa blanca to be a low key resort still small but the way the roads & plots of land have been segregated it will grow a fair bit in the coming years though looking in the estate agents out there its going to be loads of private villas with pools & not hotels so wont end up like some of the larger resorts.
cleanlyness wise like any other resort nice parts in one block then next block is a wasteland with rubbish etc
entertainment bars & restaurants didnt see any clubs but then again wasnt looking at my age though one bar near the port had a big chalkboard sign saying live arsenal chelsea footy strippers at half time & full mony at full time so i gues there is some entertaiment about
beaches were good fine sand 2 small beaches in resort with papayago just a few km away

A day on the catamaran is a fantastic experience, snorkel in the clear blue sea, ride a jet ski, spot a flying fish - amazing.
We hired a car for two days and went to the market in Teguise on Sunday and then a beach in the afternoon. Both were excellent.
The next day we drove to Timanfaya and then took the bus tour in the volcano, scary but fantastic. A camel ride to follow is a must.
A walk to the shops in Playa Blanca was a 20 minute stroll and good to relax and shop, stop and have a coffee at a bar and watch the boats and ferries.
The views of Fuerteventura are lovely not just on a clear day but also at night.

The resort seemed clean with the odd overflowing bin in places. Plenty of 'zebra crossings' but some drivers seemed to ignore them (beware). Walking along the promenade was lovely day and night. We ate a Lanis at the Marina, a bit windy but lovely views and nice food. Beach was crowded and only went there once, but kids could see fish in the shallow water. Playa Blanca is a fairly quiet resort at night(what we wanted), however if you want a change a taxi to Puerto del Carmen is about 30 euros each way. If you only do one trip go on the Timanyfaya and camel trip its brilliant! Playa Blanca is a lovely resort and only hope it doesnt get too big. Go there soon before its spoilt.

We stayed at the Playa Blanca resort in Lanzarote which was about 30 minutes from Arricefe airport.
The beach was excellent, clean and well maintained. A small charge for loungers/parosols.
There are many bars and cafes along the sea front (a burger king)
Close by is a marina, a lovely walk.
Many english bars in the town where you can enjoy a full english breakfast. An excellent chinese on the front called the 'jumbo', food and service excellent.
A 30 minute bus ride to Puerto del carmen is a must.

We only left the Sun Tropical once for the evening just to walk to town. We have stayed in Playa Blanca before so we knew what it was like. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and banks with cash machines.

Playa Blanca is a charming, pretty resort. The bustle of the harbour has been retained amid the expansion of the town. However the lack of high rise buildings (2 storeys maximum rule) means that it retains an authentic feel.
Like the complex we stayed on, the town and beach is spotless. The beaches in town can get very crowded expecially when holiday makers are joined by the locals at the weekend.
We ate out at the Sun City, Burger King and Mollys Irish Bar and couldn't fault any of them. The biggest thumbs up has to go to Molly's though. If you want to take the whole family out for a night of fun, song and quality entertainment, find out when Gaz is on. This lad from Bradford is a star. The landlady can be found dancing on the tables at the end of the night while playing the Bodran! The only problem is they don't know when to call it a night - they've all got more energy than us!

Plenty of bars and food , no noisy clubs like Magaluf.

As a resort Playa Blanca is very nice, there are various shops and restautants both along the front and in a pedestrian zone behind. As to be expected the shops are all very samey but worth a look. The food is quite varied there are some Chinese restaurants but most Canarian offer very similar menu's with the British style pub bars doing the sunday roasts and all day breakfast meals.
The entertainment tends to be more at the hotels or at the live singer/Kareoke type British bars of which there are a few.
The promenade that stretches all along the front of Playa Blanca is a nice stroll to walk off your food before indulging in a few beers.
The town Beach looked fine we didn't visit it but did venture to the Playa Dorada beach which did seem to get a little congested, maybe it's this time of the year. There was are other beaches at Papagayo and Flamingo but we only briefly visited Papagayo which also seemed very popular.
All told Plava Blanca is clean , quiet and hassle free (regarding not being dragged into shops). There is a little bit of Nightlife if you want it but it's not compulsery.

We only ate out once in Playa Blanca and the meal was disgusting but we did go to a very nice restaurant in the new marina and this looks a very up and coming area when completed

We have stayed in Playa Blanca 5 times. Our last visit prior to this was 2 years ago and we knew that the expansion of it was going to be huge. We didn't expect it to be as huge as it has turned into with masses still to do.
In just 2 years it seems to have changed from a quaint little village with harbour into a bustling small town without masses of shops. The predominant shops are perfume and jewellery. Some of the 18 carat gold is reasonably priced and we buy something every year.
The ferries to Fuerteventura are worth a trip and pay at the quayside. A few Spanish phrases for there and back would be useful when doing this. There are regular restling matches on the small in town beach which can be quite entertaining and I gather it is the local sport. There is normally a very quaint festival during the end of July with a procession going from the harbour to the small church. I hope this doesn't get spoilt.
This is still a very nice area to visit, not full of lager louts and we have never heard of any trouble at all. Well worth a visit and there are many good quality low rise hotels to choose from.
