Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

If you can afford it, get a suite. Overlooking the pool and the sea - perfect!

My top-rated restaurants are Camel, Bodegon Las Tapas, La Romantica, and Ninen.

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

Playa Blanca is a lovely little fishing port and despite comments of it being quiet it is up and coming, the new marina development is expanding and hopefully it will remain charming despite on going development, having visited Lanzarote several times Playa Blanca is the prettiest part of the island - the main beach is fab with clear blue waters and soft sugary sand. Recommended Playa Flamingo was a disappointment safe for kids but had a constant froth at the shore which was off putting and crammed with loadsa people. Restuarants in the resort to recommend are the Ponderosa and Typical Canary Rest.

Very quiet resort situated on the beach front. There are the usual tourist shops and supermarkets and bars. Tobacco is much cheaper in the local tobacconists then at the airport but beware this is not part of EU and duty free allowances apply.
The resort has a marina each end. One of them is being constructed as we speak into a shopping area and will be good when its finished.
The resort is clean and the staff are friendly. There are many electrical shops but one on the beach front is a con and the goods shown are not the ones in the packet so beware, several holiday makers were caught out.
There is local transport which has rules of its own and there are local markets but you have to haggle.
In summary a nice resort if you are looking for a quiet beach holiday with drinks in the evening or evening meals out. If you want something more lively go elsewhere.

The beach is about a ten/fifteen minute walk from the complex and there are a couple of restaurants and bars there which provided live music and entertainment of an evening which was fine for us. The more lively bars are a further ten minutes or so, so if you like the nightlife its not ideal.
It was rather crowded on the beach at times and I can imagine that at the height of the season it is swamped with children!
All in all the resort is lovely though and very clean and tidy. We had a fabulous time. Bus service to Peurto del Carmen was good too.

Playa Blanca is a lovely resort with lots of shops resturants and bars, the Beach itself is beautiful with lovely clean sands and crystal clear waters lots of water sports available on the beach. Ive been to all three main resorts now on lanzarote and prefer puerto del carmen out of all of them but playa blanca is very nice especially as you have the option on the ferry ride to futerventura.

Very clean and welcoming resort. Not for anyone seeking a lively and buzzing nightlife but suited us very well! Nice bars, restaraunts and shops. Very peaceful with lovely evening walks along the sea front area. Easy access to ferries for Fuertaventura if you fancy that!!

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the resort and the rubicon marina was very impressive. The beaches were lovely and very safe if you have children.
There are quite a lot of bars and restaurants in playa blanca with live entertainment if you fancy a change from the hotel and it is only a short stroll away. the resort is very windy, nice when it is very hot through the day but it can be quite cool in the evening.
Just one last thing, we found playa blanca more expensive than the other resorts, in costa teguise and puerta del carmen the cost of food and drinks were half the price.

playa blanca is a nice resort plenty of bars and shops, loads of electrical shops i.e. camera's etc with people trying to drag you in of the street be wary if you buy anything from these places always open it up and try it as there were complaints that they showed you a working camera then gave you one in a box of a lesser standard or not working and don't accept them back. resort entertainment I don't know about as we always headed back to the dome for there entertainment

Avoid unless 2* makes you happy. Sadly- it clearly does for many guests.
