Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

Don’t stay here. Death would be better.

If you can afford it, get a suite. Overlooking the pool and the sea - perfect!

My top-rated restaurants are Camel, Bodegon Las Tapas, La Romantica, and Ninen.

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

As a resort, Playa Blanca is farily quiet. We took the cliff top walk, which was really tiring but we took a well earned drink in one of the many bars along the sea front, which was lovely. The harbour is very pretty and its worth having a drink in the bar which overlooks it. The shops at Playa Blanca were nothing to shout about, but for a little walk around they are OK! We did not go out to the town in the evening so I wouldnt know if it was any good or not. We would visit the area again as we loved the hotel.

The resort itself is small and quiet - not too much for young people.
Watch out for the shops selling cameras - not so much that they sell fake goods - just that they charge the same if not more than you can get here on the net.
If you research the item you want before going they will undercut that price - if however you don't know exactly what you are doing - steer clear - they will suss you out and they will put pressure on you to buy.

Playa Blanca is an excellent resort to stay in.
Playa Dorada beach is lovely with gentle waters ideal for children.Sunbeds are available for hire for approx 2.50 Euros daily. There is plenty of opportunity to walk as the promenade goes on for miles.
The resort offers many boat trips from the harbour with Fuerteventura very close.Try Lanis restaurant, would highly recommend, ideal setting at the Rubicon Marina.I would definately visit Playa Blanca again.

Stayed the week in Costa Teguise. Clean n tidy. Nice for families and older couples. Not for teenagers or groups of young ppl. Not a lot going on. Weather good but windy. Don't be fooled into thinking you're not getting sunburn. Take plenty of Mozzy spray. Some good and varied eating places. From cheap and cheerful to HOW MUCH???. Drinks are mostly on par with UK prices (Not cheap) You can buy a Supermarket litre of Vodka or Gin for the average price of a watered down (with 50% free ice cubes) glass of voddy n coke or gin n tonic. Most shops sell tacky n knocky off stuff. Fags cough are cheap cough! (NO NOT REALLY)

If hiring a car El Golfo is certainly one place to head for, also the volcano trip is worth a visit (don't forget the camera!!).
Papagayo beach is lovely.

Playa Blanca is a lovely resort - ideal for ages. The town beach is not very good any more - full of rocks, but Flamingo beach is lovely. Lovely restaurants along the front with good entertainment. Be wary of the electrical shops - can be ripped off.

We have been to Lanzarote 6 times, and 5 of those at Playa Blanca.
It is a relatively quiet resort with only a couple of real "clubby" type bars, but there are plenty of places to eat and drink.
The beach at the bottom of the road (behind the Yaiza Princess Hotel) is lovely. You will have to pay for sunbeds/parasols but it's not much for the whole day.
The promenade has recently been extended right along to the marina which is developing into a lovely little resort area. There are a few bars/restaurants/shops just opened with more to come. Looks very nice and clean.
Good restaurants in Playa Blance along the front that we like are:- Almacen De La Sal, this is probably a little more "up market" for the area and has a lovely man playing the piano. They're not open during the day but it's worth going a little later into the evening. The service can be slow and a little surly but the food and the atmosphere is lovely.
Not sure of the name but is a Bar & Grill with big horns coming out of the facade. They do meat that comes out on a sizzling stone and also fantastic fruit flambes. Service again can be a little brusqe but the food is nice.
We like the Old Mill bar (mainly for the big screen footie!) and also Molly Malone's and the Irish Anvil over the other side of the harbour.
While we were there this year it was Carnival time so Friday, Saturday & Sunday were full of celebrations. The main Carnival was on Saturday evening and was fantastic.
We will definitely return to Playa Blanca as every time it feels like home.

Two sandy beaches, a promenade that stretches nearly 5 miles from one end to the other and the Rubicon Marina that has only just opened.
An excellent selection of restaurants, try El Marisco, Romantica and El Horno. Jasmines in good if you like Chinese. Low key entertainment at The Irish Anvil and the Old Mill which are both good but Kings Head on the front was awful.

Avoid unless 2* makes you happy. Sadly- it clearly does for many guests.
