Best steak house TEX MEX or the American Indian who do a steak in Jack Daniels sauce. Chinese food try The Sunshine. Indian try the one near crazy golf on the front. If you want fish go to old town where the fish come right of the boat into the pan.

If you are visiting during the winter months then ask reception for extra warm blankets for the cold nights and also ask for the WiFi code ....
Plenty of food places to try although buffet places charge high costs on soft drinks with your meal ..

Pool side apartments mean kids can just go and play while being watched from the apartment.

What can i say that hasn't already said. Puerto Del Carmen is a fantastic destination for all. Brilliant weather every time we've been there. Safe, clean and very affordable. Fantastic choice of restaurants, bars etc. Plenty to entertain all ages. Again 10 out 0f 10. Can't wait for our next visit!!

beach area very clean but public toilets disgusting.
Shops very much the same as each other and found them to be expensive.

Since we visited in 2003, the main promenade road is now one way and narrower so most of sea front is pedestrianised which is great for long walks. The beaches are spotless and cleaned every day and there are plenty of sun loungers and pedaloes etc.
There are plenty of nice bars, restaurants (plenty of choice of italian/chinse/tex mex etc) and english/irish pubs to choose from depending whether you want a nice meal or homecooked food. There are acts on many bars but being February many where very quiet. I would say the most annoying thing was the promo staff from bars within the commercial centres - no one minds being given a leaflet but you dont really want to be talked to as you walk for 10 yards trying to escape! Thankfully they are only around one small area near the main Atlantico centre.
Overall a pleasant resort still and a good base to explore the island from - either book excursions locally at the numerous excursion offices along the promenade or ask for the bus timetables at the little tourist information office.

Great resort. Plenty of shops. Lots of entertainment along the strip as long as you are willing to wait until 11p/m or later. Do go down to the Old Town and visit the harbour. Fish restaurants abound. Also loads of Irish Bars.

the resort was perfect for us at that time of year
the beachfront was very clean with a good choose of shops and bars
the town it self was well equipted with all sort of shopping
marios resturant in the old town was 10/10 for food and is highly recommended just below marios is a bar called the highlander if you want a good night (or day)ronnie and sharron the best hosts on the island

Great 3 miles of shops and restaurants to walk on the main strip of P-del-Carmen, with a fantastic view of the other Island of the Canaries.

the main drag throughout puerto del carmen has been improved and is now a been pedestrianized from end to end.
several of the bars/restuarants have dropped there prices this year and it is now very competetive. beach is clean and overall pueto del carmen has vastly improved this year
