Location
Pool is excellent, best pool i had seen in marmaris. Only problem is there is no buzz about the pool and only play music now and again. Plenty of sunbeds, which saves people getting up early to put out there towels.
Rooms are very good size, pretty loud tho if you geta room above the Aussie bar, normally open till about 3am
You get lots of hassle from the locals trying to get you into there pub/restaurant but just dont stop and you will be fine(not so good for window shopers)
5 min walk to the beach but again the sun beds there are owned by the restaurnts so they like you to buy from them when using them. Very cheap to eat out, but drink is about the same price.
Little more expensive to eat round the pool plus no prices on menu so ask first. All in all great holiday, great town, lot better than we thought would go back/

The food that is availiable around the pool can be a bit pricey and there are no prices stated so it is best to ask!
The location is brilliant, it was a 20 second walk from reception the nearest bar and a 5 minute walk to the nearest reastuarant - the Lara which is just over the road! it is also close to a number a gifts shops and there is a supermarket only 5-10 minutes away.
I would recommend anyone to go there, I came back two days ago and i am trying to book to go again in September.

Greeted by a very welcoming receptionist and a few bleary eyed porters (on hand to carry your luggage) at silly 'o' clock in the morning.
Compared to another hotel we stayed in, the porters do not stand around looking lost with their hand waving around in thin air expecting a tip for a small service. This time around it was nice to reward a tip because they were running around in a hectic frame of mind, I'm sure they really did not expect a tip. As opposed to another hotel where the porter pretty much refused to leave our doorway (with his hand held out cheeky bugger!) until we parted with some of our unspent Turkish lira. I don't mind tipping, but demanding it is disgraceful no matter what country you live/work in!
Great pool - perfect for the last hour or so to have a sleep in the setting sun, to freshen up for an extended night on the Marmaris town. Only time I was at the hotel on a night was in a drunken stupor ready for some s...sleep! So I cannot comment on the hotel entertainment.
The Aussie Bar was great though...Gary is a sleazy but likeable character. All staff were great - it felt like they were out on the town with you rather than catering to your every whim. I thought the practice of putting your purchases on a 'slate' until the end of the night was great...on the first night, until it was time to leave and settling the final bill!! I guess we had too much of a good time in there. I had to stop and ask myself if I was bordering on alcoholism!
We stayed in an Attic Room overlooking the main road and I was concerned initially about the noise we may experince trying to sleep. To be fair, you could hear the noise when the doors were closed, but was minimal and was surprisingly easy to disregard it hence getting to sleep was no issue at all. I actually loved the main road view - seeing the world go by without being hassled was great. Seeing others having to contend with hassling was both unsettling and comical! Only because we knew we had it coming once we trawled the many clubs/bars/restaurants.
The hot water was a bit of an issue - you sort of had to guess the likely times other guests would be showering. If you guessed wrong, you were lumbered with a luke warm shower at best, and getting out was one shivering affair. Tried drying quickly by frantic towel drying, but with my sunburn, the towel felt very much like drying with a cheese grater.
As I said earlier, the receptionist was very friendly indeed, but I'm sure she worked 24/7. No matter when we left or entered the hotel, she was there, smiling asking if we'd had fun, and saying "you're welcome" after every "thankyou" we said.
The maids were exceptional. Everyday we went back to our room, we had towels laid on the bed in varying patterns. Shapes of flower heads, pasta shells, heart shaped with a rose in the middle - amazing presentation. Felt like important guests staying there, with the time and care they made in making our room very welcoming every day we returned from a good day out. Needless to say, we gave her a tip at the end of our stay, and she was very surprised and grateful which was nice.
There was no TV or radio in the room which was a minus, as I always like a bit of background sound when changing etc. Instead we had to make do with ringtone music on our mobiles!
Overall though, fantastic holiday, great hotel and would go back. Far from disappointed, and we got this as a bargain to begin with. To get this in Britain, I can tell you now we would have had to pay at least double the amount we did.
Loved it, and if you're going there anytime soon, I hope you do too. In fact, I can pretty much assure you that you will. Happy holidays people!

The first balcony was a good size but looked on to a roof of a out building and the second balcony was eve worse, we had a big metal sheet blocking out light or heat, we could only see anything a wee bit as it only has a wee slit to see out.

People who complain about the noise are selfish at the end of the day it's not fair on the majority who want to have a laugh and a dance if the music gets turned off because a minority want to go to bed early and didn't have the sense to book a non lively resort!!!
One more point theres not much more the lads can do in Aussie bar all the doors are closed and as for the speakers outside they are turned off around 12am so theres no point complaining about them!!! A night in the Aussie bar is a hell of a good time to!!
Well worth a visit we go everynight of our holiday along with many others from all over the country!!! If you are thinking of booking Kocer don't let these people put you off it is absoloutly fabulous if it wasn't we wouldn't have paid to go back 7 times!!!!

We had to change apartment half way through our holiday as our shower was flooding the shops below us but the staff were very helpful and apologetic, the maids were always friendly and helpful, the reception staff are always pleasant and can't do enough to help you.
The pool area is always clean and the poolbar staff are always pleasant.
The children say its the best place they have ever stayed at and can't wait to return next year.

Each year we go back its the same staff they are always very welcoming to us and other. The food at Kocer is good we don't eat there that much as its very cheap in the resort to eat out.
Kocer is in a great location about 5 mins to the beach and shop are under the Kocer Club you can't get better than that. There used to be bingo at 3 o'clock which had finished in October, there is night entertainment in the aussie bar where thay have break dancrs, belly dancers and a Micheal Jackson look alike I must say his pretty good!

Although we will go back to Turkey this year we won't be going back to Kocher and wouldn't really recommend it to anybody. Our only consolation is that we only went for a week!!!!!

The hotel location was the best ever it was a five min walk to the beach an the bars.
The hotel staff we did not really talk to we had no problems at all they say hello and goodbye an that was it.
The entertainment was not very good I think it was because it was a few weeks away from closing there was a local bar the Aussie bar over the road it was part of the hotel I think we never went in there because we enjoyed going down the main front but it always looked busy an loud loads of families in there by the look of it.
Yes I would visit again in fact we are going back this year 2006 with our new arrival in our family we enjoyed our stay it will be the third time to Marmaris.

The only complaint I have, is the fact that, I was hospitalised, due to a severe allergic reaction to a Turkish bath, I had on the second day. If I had been told by the reps at the time of booking or by the members of staff at the baths, that if you are asthmatic or have sensitive skin you should not have a turkish bath, I wouldnt of done so, I was informed of this, at the hospital by the doctors and back home.
The reps didnt seem to care either, just as long as they take your money thats all that matters. I wouldnt like anyone else to go through what I went through during my stay in Turkey as well as back home.
