Attached to the Hotel is a bar, well worth sitting here at night - only thing is your all-inclusive option stops the moment you go past reception so drinks aren't free here.

The resort is family geared, no buzzing nightclubs but that is what we prefer. The hassle outside bars wasn't as bad as previous years and although the beach is shingle it is very clean and at night you can sit on this as some bars have set up chairs on the beach itself and you can sip drinks whilst listening to the water lap onto the beach. We watched the paragliders come into land on the beach, very entertaining. The lagoon is lovely although the area towards the end of it is very murky for swimming and snorkelling, in fact it was like snorkelling through syrup.

very good resort
quiet and relaxing
and hey no macdonalds or other fast food chains, like chicken or pizza.
no loud bars, no loud karaoke, no brawls and no loud yobs of either sex falling around drunk and making a noise at night.
typically turkish.
would recommend.

The beach and lagoon are wonderful. There are toilets at the beach which are generally kept clean- although that can't be said of all the restaurants and bars in the resort. Generally there is a good choice of where to eat and drink but I wouldn't say there was a lot in the way of entertainment other than bars and clubs.

Very friendly town where you feel like part of the family wherever you go. Very clean everywhere. Not many people using the beach when i was there but good for relaxing walks, just watch the paragliders!

First visit to Turkey.
Olu Deniz is great! We loved it there. It can be as quiet or as energetic as you like.
Nice to watch the sunset on the bean bags at the beach bar with a nice cold beer!
Lagoon nice and peaceful to visit and fun to swim to the raft and have a sunbathe. Costs 2.50ytl to enter and remember to keep your ticket so you can go and and come back if you want. Swim out to the rock in the middle of the beach and lagoon side and look at the fishes with mask and snorkel there are lots of quite big ones! Toilets at lagoon very clean for public area and I did squeal when I saw they were the different kind of toilets so beware ladies! Fear was overcome after about 2 seconds and they were ok! Cafe at Lagoon is nothing special, if they could do some more food options it could be quite good. Price of tea/coffee/hot chocolate quite good, anything else a rip off – go back to the decent places for lunch or get something and bring it in. Bring your own cans of drink too. Its really nice here but do think the beverages/food on offer is 3x what it should be especially as you pay to get in….. (On our last lagoon visit a group of 9 Germans/Belgium’s invaded us on the sun beds next to us so we ended up leaving early as they were far too noisy and arrogant. Very sad for such a quiet pretty place. Whenever I have moaned about the English Chavs and larger louts in the past I take it back as these people were really really awful)
For eating out we didn't try anywhere too pricey as we thought there was enough choice with the nice quite traditional places but we were very happy with what we ate/tried. We were disappointed with the Chinese near the beach (China Sun?) we felt we paid too much (priced in English then converted to Turkish at the bill stage so they gave a really bad exchange rate) for a Chinese meal that was not as good as at home but cost more. Came to approx 96ytl when other meals there that we really liked came to appox 45ytl. (We only have a couple of beers with dinner and then water.) After that we avoided anywhere priced in English.
Our favourite place to eat was The Secret Garden. Very peaceful, good food, staff good and look out for the white bunny hopping around! We also liked the Pine Tree, The Olive Grove was good (Baklava there was the best we had tried!) and the Lemon Tree (not traditional Turkish cuisine but really tasty and lovely) was very decent food. Probably a good little gem was Turkish Pizza (near the Karbel and we tried it as the recommendation had been made on this site) had many lunches here - very cheap, their Hummus is the best in Olu Deniz! We used to have a Turkish Pizza, a mixed pide, Hummus, salad, bread and diet cokes for 12ytl. (Approx £5!) Went there in the evenings sometimes when we were hungry and were short on pennies as we needed to get more cash the next day. Please try it! you can sit on the nice comfy low cushions or the normal table/bench! Superb!
Another one I liked was Pepinos that was like an Italian. We thought that we would give it a go one evening as we had a bit too much sun one day so felt a bit delicate! I had a lovely chicken kebab (Boyfriend had Spag Bol which was nice) and it turned out to be very amusing! When we had finished our meal they told us it was ‘Sparkles’!!! They gave everybody 2 sparklers each and when the music stared you had to wave your sparklers in time to the music! (Life, la-la-la la-la!!) Very amusing! After this, one of the waiters did a strange dance with his table cloth (we were in stitches) and then for the original Turkish version of Kiss Kiss they dragged some girl up to dance with them. I must confess that we did go back on the second week just to experience ‘Sparkles’ again and I did lie and tell them it was my birthday (33!) just to make sure we got it!!!!! May I add that the food was very nice and the cocktails were tasty! The staff were helpful and pleasant and fun.
Went to OBA one night and the setting was lovely, the waiters very nice. My dinner (Sea Bass) was very good. My Boyfriend chose a casserole but although it was tasty the meat was not like casseroles at the Secret Garden and after 10mins we had to ask for his rice and chips as they had not arrived and when they did they were not cooked properly. I hope it was just a one off as other people had good meals here.
Went diving with Dive Med who were very good. Went on their boat to a cove not far away which was very nice. They gave me a refresher with skills in the morning as I had not dived for 2 years then did a normal fun dive in the afternoon which was stunning! Turkey very good place to dive as there are sooooo many fish!
Amusing watching the Para gliders for the whole hols, but we would not do it as I don’t think it is particularly safe! If you really want to do it please do a search on the web for a few hours just to see what you can find and both sides and that there are accidents….. While we were there (first week of October) one of the single jumpers did get tangled with a tandem so luckily their back up parachutes came in handy.
Lots of different types of bars so what ever type of music you can enjoy a coffee or beer with what you like. Think the resort is good for everybody. If you want it quite you can and if you want some drinks and dancing you can. If you want nightclubs etc you can get a taxi/dolmus up to Hisaronu.
Did an afternoon horse riding trip up one of the mountains which was good fun and had a stunning view of the lagoon for £10.
Had fun trying our the Turkish delight. Went to the lady on the main strip who gave us lots to try. She was lovely and we bought a big box which we ate in about 2 days as of course we had to sample it for our take home gifts! The pre-packaged stuff from the normal shops was really good but as we wanted it for gifts we thought it would look nicer with ribbon etc. Ended up buying about 3kg of it at the market at Hisaronu for a very good price!! (found the market scarey and it was too much harrassement. We didn’t want to buy anything we just wanted to be nosey! Found an escape corner where we could make our get away!)
Coming home they are very strict with baggage allowance and for every 1kg you have to pay £6. Luckily we were 3kg under (even with all that Turkish delight!) but the couple in front of us had to pay over £50 and I felt awful for them as their presents home cost quite a bit. Travel light (we always take too much and too many clothes) and use up all your creams/toiletries or throw them.
We expected some hassle with people selling but normally a smile and a no thanks is courteous and they leave you alone. Even though I got asked about paracending about a hundred times I still laughed when ever they asked and I’m sure they only kept asking to see the horror on my face! We thought the Turkish were friendly, helpful, polite.
