Attached to the Hotel is a bar, well worth sitting here at night - only thing is your all-inclusive option stops the moment you go past reception so drinks aren't free here.

A good base to visit surrounding Turkey much too commercial for me but I enjoy the good standard of hotels
an expensive resort to shop full of counterfeit everything.

Did buy some nice pieces of silver jewellery and cheap glass bracelets. remember to barter - bought for just over half original asking price.

Drink prices vary big time so check them out.

Recommend Asena beach for food they have about three restaurants didnt try the chinese one though.

The five star b' palace restaurants excellent service but food less than average and small portions - I had lasagne.

Antique restaurant was good. Was advised Karbel was good - eat as much as you want from the buffet... careful of steps.

avoid:
Cafes that don't display prices especially beach cafes at Gemila beach.
Changing money at hotel
Quad bikes
Horse riding
Book boat trips direct with boat owners barter.
Booked excellent tours with seaside tours.

The resort is a purpose built tourist town. It is very nice, very clean but lacks character. The shops sell pretty braclets, handbags and duty free. Well worth a visit is Bridget's Home Stores, at the end of the row of shops directly outside the hotel. Some fantastic bargins. Our son bought a latest Gameboy game for approx £5. Bridget's husband Mustafa has a gameboy and is happy for you to try out a game before you buy it. Bridgit also looks after the resorts stray cats, there were 3 gorgeous kittens while we were there.
Olu Deniz is well placed for exploring the surrounding region. Some of the best trips were the mudbaths at Dalaman, with a boat cruise past the Lycian rock tombs, and the shopping trip to Fethiye with traditional turkish bath. The beautiful blue lagoon is 5 minutes away, the hotel runs a twice daily bus service. Hiring a canoe there is fantastic value, approx £4 for an hour for a double canoe.

There were always people around every morning cleaning up from the night before after people coming out of the bars, so in the morning you could have a leisurly stroll down to the beach and relax for the rest of the day.

There was always something going on in the resort, in other hotels around the area and in all of the bars, the locals all try to get you into their bars and are very amusing whilst they try top compete with each other saying whose is the best and which place is the cheapest.

Definitely go back!!!

This resort is ideal for couples and families.

It has a multitude of eateries and bars but no heavy nightclub scene to speak of.

The resort is in a T shape with the top of the T being the beach front. The lagoon is fantastic but it does take a while to get your head round all the different beaches. ( Bob's, Joseph's, Suara)

5 atm's that I spotted. Plenty of touts to book excursions with all offering competitive prices and far cheaper than the tour operators. We did the 12 island boat trip from Fethiye for £7.50 each included free transport and a meal on board!

Overall we loved Olu Deniz it was just enough. Very clean not to bad on the hassle front (Tunisia was much worse). At the end of the day they have to make a living and as long as you are polite and take the trouble to speak back the they accept no thanks without question.

We felt very safe and secure here and everyone was very friendly towards us.

If you want chilled out, laid back and no louts then Olu Deniz is for you.

Olu Deniz was more commercialised than we imagined.Once you had got used to constantly being badgered by the shopkeepers(which made a change from time share touts),it was in fact a very pleasant resort.

The town beach was not up to much and shelved to deeply for children to be safe but the Blue Lagoon area itself was lovely albeit crowded or alternatively try Samura beach where you can get a free mini bus which was excellent.

Restaurants were plentiful and most were good. We especially enjoyed Josephs, Chill Out and Ascena Beach SINI. Also the Secret Garden we could recommend for couples, had a romantic feel about it, but not ideal for children.

Plenty of bars from the lively to quieter ones off the main precinct.

Olu Deniz is still small and friendly with a wide selection of restaurants - all varying in price. For somewhere cheap but excleent try the little Cynion Pension next to the Secret Garden. It is on a roof terrace and is like visiting someones house. Also try the Pirates Inn on the main Dolmus route. For somewhere more expensive try the plaza at the end of the main strip where the serve Indian, Thai or Italian.

We didn't actually have a bad meal anywhere.

We found the resort area to be very beautiful. We were surrounded by mountains and very blue water. We spent a lot of the time at the Blue Lagoon beach which we highly recommend.
The food quality was very good. One of our favourite restaurants was the Bella Gusto. We would like to have tried more but were constantly pestered when trying to look at the menu outside.
We went on a couple of boat trips one of which was the Dalyan Boat Trip down the river. we visited the mud baths on this trip and saw a turtle at the Turtle Beach. We were told that we were very lucky as most of the turtle had gone.
Shop around for the best deal on these trips as the price varies and they are all the same excursions just different companies. We went with Metrolyia (not sure of spelling)
Would return to Olu Deniz.

Resort was nice but the beach loos (you have to pay) needed some freshener. Paragliders come down on beach path so watch your heads. Coach from airport a bit horrendous when coming into resort coming down mountains but lovely views. Other than that it was a lovely resort, a bit dearer than its neighbour Hisranou.

olu deniz is a great resort, lots bars restaurants & a few shops. its clean & very safe plus shop keepers are friendly. we found it better to catch the dolmous into hisaranou or fetyhie ( apologies for any bad spelling ) these towns seemed to have better value shops & double the variety.
the blue lagoon is great for the whole family & very beautiful, plus lots of sealife.
