Attached to the Hotel is a bar, well worth sitting here at night - only thing is your all-inclusive option stops the moment you go past reception so drinks aren't free here.

The beach is beautiful and at night when it's all lit up its like a fairytale land. My nine year old daughter and myself enjoyed a late night stroll down to the beach every night at 11.30 where we ordered a drink from the beach bar then sat in silence together and watched the shimmering reflection of the moon on the sea- peace, perfect peace.
The local shop workers and beach staff were friendly and as we've got to know people they happily accept that we'll buy things on our last night and then stop to chat every time we pass but do not hassle at all-be polite to people and you'll find they are more than polite back-we've been invited to join Turkish families for their evening meal many times!

The resort is very clean and friendly.because it is a conservation area it is small and pretty where you can do as much or as little as you want with all the trips there are.
You do get slightly harassed for the first few days to book day trips but the locals do take no for an answer and stay friendly.
The restaraunts are lovely and the food was great (no bad bellies).the main beach was nice but it was worth the extra walk to go to the lagoon beach for the still water whaich is really clear.the whole place was lovely.
Will definitely be going back.

We have been to Olu Deniz before so knew mostly what to expect. It has however got a bit more commercial, with loads of sunbeds and brollys on the beach which were not there 2 years ago.
Olu Deniz itself is not too good for nights out in clubs etc, young people may prefer to visit Hisaranou or Fethiye which are cheap to get to by dolmus. however we loved eating out there. Buffalo Steakhouse is ace, Peking chinese in Hisaranou is yummy and Belcekiz Beach Hotel serves some good food (although service standards have dropped).
Beach is lovely, we didn't go into the lagoon this time as it's basically the same as the free bit of beach. Water is a nice cooler after the hot sun but it gets deep quickly here so prob bot too good for kids.
I've only been home 1 day but already have been looking for next years hols to Olu Deniz.

Olu Deniz is lovely, great for a relaxing break and the people there are very friendly. Not many shops if that is what you like but there is plenty of water sports.

What a great holiday!! What fantstic people!!
Olu Deniz is an amazing resort! It has beautiful beaches, especially the Blue Lagoon and the bars and restaurants are superb.....go to Pepino's restaurant and bar!! The resort has everything you need and you don't need to go anywhere else.
You have a great selection of tours and we would highly recommend the Jeep Safari, it is a must...thanks Ali G!!! The Turkish Bath is something you must do too!!
We can not praise it enough, highly recommend a visit.....we will be going back!!!

First clas cleaners we would say cannot be beaten.
The resort is perfect not rowdy, ideal for families and couples.
Not many nightclubs, but hundreds of bars and restaurants - these are excellent. This beach is clean and tidy within 5 min walk from the Karbel Hotel.
We will for sure be going back.

The resort is very clean and friendly, there seemed to be entertainment on at many of the bars we passed on many walks through the town.
The main beach is nice to walk along, but try one of the many beaches along the lagoon, we found Bobs beach to be very friendly, where Memmet, who we first met at the Karbel in 2004, now works.
Snorkelling from this beach is fun with many fish and maybe a turtle to be seen, nice shallow waters for the children to play in, Bobs beach runs a free taxi service to and back to your hotel

The resort is fairly quiet, a few late bars, with paragliding from the mountain the main attraction.
The beach was clean although you did have to watch out for the paragliders landing, the only thing I thought was poor.
They land along the sea front not just in one area.
The lagoon was beautiful, with good facilities, and reasonably priced goods.
Plenty of dolmus to take you out and about, taxis also reasonable.
This place is not cheap to eat in if you are self catering.
IE reasonable breakfast 10tl ( £4 ) but it is not terrible.
On the whole a great place to stay.

Olu Deniz is not all it is cracked up to be. Whilst it is very scenic enclosed in a valley and is now very busy and commercialised and has lost it individuality. I am sure 3 or 4 years it was a tranquil resort but it is now very built up.
The beach itself is rather grotty small shingles and large pebbles with a steep incline into the sea. The Blue Lagoon itself is beautiful but you have to pay to go in, pay for the sun beds and then the area is very crowded.
There are some good bargains in the shops but there are very few you can browse in without being hasseled and told a good price. Then the shopkeepers will not let you alone.
There are some excellent restaurants here and the 3 best were The Secret Garden, The Olive Grove, and Antiques Restaurant. Cousens also worth a visit for a cheaper meal. Avoid Sultan Ahmed and Sultun Pepper both the food was expensive and not properly cooked.
If you book any tours do so at one of the Travel Agents and not through your tour operator 50% cheaper. Finally with the exception of beer alcohol is expensive here and the wine was poor.
