Attached to the Hotel is a bar, well worth sitting here at night - only thing is your all-inclusive option stops the moment you go past reception so drinks aren't free here.

Olu Deniz is a beautiful lush resort. The lagoon is out of this world. You have to pay a small fee to go into the lagoon but it is so idyllic it is worth every penny.
My husband and son went tandem paragliding off Babadag mountain and enjoyed the experience.
Must go quadbiking to see other parts of the resort and quaint private beaches.
In our opinion Olu Deniz is the best resort in Turkey, we have been to Marmaris but to be honest there is no comparison. Will definately return.

I wouldn't recommend this resort to take high school age children. There isn't too much for them to do,
However, for anyone older than that, Olu Deniz is a beautiful resort, very friendly with plenty of places to eat and drink. There are lots of activities on offer. I have personally been paragliding, and although it is scary - it is well worth doing. Also, the standard boat trip (not the 7 island) is brilliant - an whole day on the boat, visiting places on the local coast line, including lunch, all for around £6 each. Make sure you ask for a quiet boat though!
It is also worth a day out in Fethiye, but don't bother with the Wenesday market - go to the old town.
Otherwise, try the local bars in Olu Deniz, and have a chat with the locals!
Not to be missed!!!

The resort was spotless. There was hardly any entertainment to speak of around the resort most of the things going on were within the hotels.
We did book a trip with someone called 'bloody gorgeous' (sorry that is his name, he is situated opposite the road that leads to Sun City, the trip we booked was the jeep safari cost 18 for adults 8 pound for children was well worth the money saw some lovely historical sites, visted Tilos, Trout Farm,Salikent Gorge (had lunch there was really nice), Amphitheatre, Patara Beach, lunch was included the in the price but you have to pay for your drinks which was 7 lira for an iced tea and glass of wine.
The beach at Olu is lovely but word of warning there is a very steep drop off not very far out so be careful with young children. I wouldn't visit the resort again as I felt there wasn't enough there for my 8 year old he said that he far prefers Icmeler to Olu Deniz

This is the best hotel we have ever been to and wish we had stayed for another week one week was not enough to experience everything this hotel offers.
We stayed in the village rooms which were fantastic the bathroom was just like the virtual tours shown on lykiaworld.com very luxurious rooms and beautiful views of the sea and mountains.
The hotel has several restaurants and has a different theme for the food each night at each different restaurant so there is plenty of choice. No matter how fussy you are with food you will find plenty to eat here the food is fantastic so much fresh fruit and veg, the even make you turkish pizzas while you wait and there is even a diet corner. Plenty of nice wine, larger and soft drinks with your meal, the waiters here are fantastic they let you stay in the restaurant as long as you like and drink as much as you like. Even tho its full board the restaurant is open after lunch for most of the afternoon so you can still go and grab hot or cold food and drinks from the snack line.
The pools here are great, they are not heated so beware because its very cold in the morning but once the sun is out it warms up. Even though the hotel holds so many guests and has over 700 members of staff the pools are always quiet and you dont have to get up at the crack of dawn to grab a lounger because there are always so many free.
The beach here is fantastic althought some parts of it are shingle (id reccomend shoes u can wear in the water) its lovely and clear and great waves, the have a platform you can swim out to and sunbath on and three piers you can go along to get into the sea.
The hotel has a health spa on site that do good packages only got to experience the thalasso pool but it was lovely.
The hotel offers paragliding, safaris, scuba etc from the hotel and the prices are quite good my mum did the paragliging off the mountain which she enjoyed but beware the trip up the mountain is a scary experience and 2 people died doing it last year.
Also the reps told us that there were no Dolmus running past hotel and we ended up getting taxis to the local towns of Olu Deniz, Hisaronu and Fethiye but this is a lie, if you wait outside the main gates of the complex these little buses will eventually pass and you can pick them up and its so cheap to go anywhere on these or u can walk 3km down the mountain to the town of Olu Deniz and pick up coaches anywhere!!!
I would make sure you go to Fethiye market on a Tuesday and grab plenty of bargains the shopping here is brilliant and very cheap.
The hotel entertainment seems to be very good only caught one night but it was good!!! If your taking kids they seem to be completely entertained throughout the day by the huge team.

We love Olu Deniz!!! It is beautiful and not too busy although expensive. The nightlive is quiet which we preferred anyway. Most places closed about midnight. For a busy nightlife and cheaper shopping / eating head up to Hisaronu. The Karbel Hotel does the best food, we ate there three times! There are plenty of shops, restaurants, beauty places and supermarkets as well. Going back soon!!!

Olu Deniz is a very clean resort and we cant remember seeing any rubbish anywhere.
There was loads of entertainment such as paragliding (which we would definiely recommend) boat trips and scuba diving, the list was endless and there is something for everyone.
The beach was immaculate but uncomfortable to walk on as it is a pebble beach.
We are already planning our return visit to Olu Deniz and would recommend it to anyone.

Plenty of welcoming bars and little shops offering excursions and general holiday goodies. No clubs but transport to the bigger resorts readily available. Very reasonable prices but remember to haggle.
I went Paragliding and felt totally safe (highly recommended) Don't forget the Jeep Safari, mud baths and the markets for your cheap clothing (6 fake designer T shirts for £10)
I would advise changing your currency in Turkey as you get a better exchange rate and almost every shop or hotel are willing to give you a good deal.

The resort of Olu deniz is great if you can put up with all the hassle from the shops, just tell them "no" or that you will come back another time they will be quite happy with it and let you go on your way. If you are a woman travelling alone its great as they won't hassle you, they tend to only speak to couples. The beach is wonderful and doens't cost anything if you don't go to the lagoon, but it is worth going to if only once! restaurants are lovely catering for every taste. I have been before 5 years ago & since my last visit I would definately go again!

Olu Deniz is somewhere I have always wanted to visit and it did not disappoint on situation and spectacular scenery. It was clean with a lovely beach and friendly locals.
I didn't feel much Turkish atmosphere as I visited Side and Cappadocia on my last visit 11 years ago.
The road from the airport is not half as bad as I expected and the scenery was wonderful.
I don't think I would return as there are other places in Turkey I would like to visit.
Some younger people may find it too quiet as music finishes at midnight.

The resort is fantastic with the hotel next to the shop and five minutes from an outstanding beech and 10 mins from the lagoon it is the bluest water I have ever seen.
Do not book any trips with your rep, book them with any of the many tour places, it is exactly th same peopele that the reps use and a margin of the price we went on three trips and saves over £150.00.
This place is fantastic and not to be missed.
