Lots of places to eat outside resort.
Recommend going Bed and Breakfast, ignore half board option.
Do not book April, May, June as 80 percent closed with only one restaurant on offer.

Don’t stay here. I would stay under a rock on the beach in Playa Blanca over this.
Don’t stay here. Death would be better.

If you can afford it, get a suite. Overlooking the pool and the sea - perfect!

My top-rated restaurants are Camel, Bodegon Las Tapas, La Romantica, and Ninen.

Avoid altogether. Vastly overpriced.
2* - being generous. A very large ‘holiday camp’.
Pool areas fine except for other guests! Ring-fencing areas, playing loud music on portable speakers. No consideration for anyone. Vulture behaviour for sun beds ? Up at the crack of dawn we assume?
Altogether awful- unless you have very low expectations and this is your idea of holidaying, which amazingly seems to suit many of the ‘Indiscerning’ guests. Very disappointed with Althams and Jet2 for recommending.

A bit dull and limited. Once you had benn down to the centre a couple of times it was boring

Playa Dorada is lovely. Super beach with good sunbeds and umbrellas at 2.5 euros each. Good bar and restaurant with reasonable prices. Take a piece of bread in the sea with you and watch the fish feed. Some of the bigger ones will eat out of your hand. Playa Blanca beach is OK but less facilities. Lovely new shops by the Marina but a bit pricey. Small market at the Marina twice a week (Sat and Wed, I think) Cheaper shops and several supermarkets at the Papagayo commercial centre.

Quite resort geared to families and couples not geared to night owls, Playa Blanca has a walkway that stretches from the Rubico marina to the lighthouse, this excellent for people taking a stroll, one word of caution if walking late at night, irresponsible bike riders using it as a race track, one day there will be a nasty accident if one hasn't happened already.

Resort kept clean, gardens well maintained. There are a number of unmarked trip hazards such as the steps near the Entertainment bar where the steps were unmarked ans blended into the pattern of the path, no I was not a victim!
We did not use any of the on site entertainment so my low score reflects this.
The beach always had a coating of "fag ends" and the rocky breakwaters there is a lot of rubbish. The beach attendant from hell caused more than one argument, his pricing for sun beds and umbrellas changed almost daily, he did his employers no favours.
Local transport especially taxis was reasonable plentiful and every vehicle was spotless. Not like Croydon!
Local Resorts and marina not quite like Brighton again clean, with plenty of shops and bars. Thought that the marina needs more life otherwise it is not worth a second visit.
A must is to visit the volcanos and the unique landscape.

Resort very clean. Every where closes at 11.30pm.
Beach clean and it is marked off for the jet skies so no-one can get hurt.
I would visit the resort again. Very friendly and good prices. Steak, chips and salad 9 euros and 3euros for kids. Meals good portions.

Playa Blanca is a lovely resort and we had some lovely days on the beach and enjoyed some great meals in the restaurants.

Playa Blanca is a lovely resort.
There are 3 main sandy beaches - the biggest is Playa Dorada which has water sports (jet ski, banana boat, fly fish ride & parasailing) Not cheap but worth it! It is a sandy beach with sunbeds & parasols available to hire. The other 2 beaches to the east are smaller.
There are lots of rocks & jettys - very good for sea fishing. My son bought a cheap rod and some squid & caught 30 reasonable sized fish in an hour!
There are plenty of car hire, shops, bars and restaurants - it isn't a sleepy fishing village anymore. There is a local market twice a week. You can get a ferry to Fuerteventura for a day out. The Rubicon Marina is upmarket & worth a visit.
We'd definitely go back to Playa Blanca.

Playa Blanca is a lovely resort. I would think it is more geared to families and possibly couples. There are plenty of restaurants and a few bars. The beach is very nice. This resort is spotlessly clean.

Lovely resort, very clean (as were most places on the island we visited)
We stayed mainly at the hotel at night but there were bars and hotels around with music, live bands etc.
Some water activities took place from the beach - including a diving school.
Boat excursions went from the harbour to other islands.
The beaches were nice, sndy and kept very clean. They did appear to get fairly busy but without being overcrowded.

Avoid unless 2* makes you happy. Sadly- it clearly does for many guests.
