Try for South facing appartment. Food in onsite bar is good but loads of local restaurants are a short walk away

If you are visiting during the winter months then ask reception for extra warm blankets for the cold nights and also ask for the WiFi code ....
Plenty of food places to try although buffet places charge high costs on soft drinks with your meal ..

Excellent location with plenty to do and see within Puerto Del Carmen and Lanazarote. Hire a car and see the island....you will not be disappointed.

Good lively resort,clean beach, great variety in pubs,clubs and restaurants.As a group of four women we felt quite safe at all times but were hassled quite a bit by people promoting their venues/trips etc..
Most annoying were the traders selling water and icecream around the sunloungers on the beach and generally driving people to distraction with their aggressive approach.Even more annoying was a "beach masseuse" who was very rude and loud when her services were not availed of.
On a very positive side was the value for money when eating out and the excellent hospitality of the restauranteurs overlooking the harbour in the old town.

Excellent resort,caters for all ages,only,the paving slabs could be doing with getting fixed,there are a lot of loose paving throughout the resort,but thats my only gripe

Puerto Del Carmen is the cleanest resort I have visited anywhere. The pubs and restaurants are excellent and the staff in all of them are very good with children. The beach is beautiful and clean. Puerto Del Carmen has the most beautiful beach walk (Avenidas del Playas). It is my most favourite holiday destination.

Excellent resort with a beautiful beach and great entertainment down at the local centre, not too rowdy or loud, great for kids. If you are looking for nightlife then puerto del carmen is a 5 min taxi ride away, and loads of clubs for younger people. I have been to lanzarote 4 times and my last visit to matagorda was my best experience so far, so much so that ive booked again for this year

The beaches were beautiful.. we didnt spend much time in the resort at night as we were self catering.

The resort of Puerto Del Carmen is excellent. A endless amount of bars, resturants, clubs, and shops. A factor to note is that if you want live entertainent you will have to always pay to get into the venue.
A place to go for free entertianment is Spinnakers up Calle Anzuelo it is above a Netto, it has free nightly enterainment and the food there too is lovely, its run by a Irish family.
Overall i would highly recommend this resort and will defintaelt be back.

Great resort, food cheap and good quality in most places and recommend excursions to Timanfya national park and the volcanos - its spectacularr.
Also check out the American Indian bar and their house band "Question?" on most nights - they work hard playing cheesy covers but they are great entertainment and always look like they are enjoying it even though they play nearly every night of the week.

PUERTO DEL CARMEN IS A LOVELY PLACE 2 VISIT. THERE R PLENTY OF PLACES 2 EAT AND LOTS OF PLACES 2 GO AND HAVE A DRINK. IF UR A FOOTY FAN AND FANCY WATCHIN THE FOOTY WHILE UR AWAY I WOULD RECOMMEND LINEKERS BAR AS IT HAS PLENTY OF SCREENS 2 WATCH THE MATCHES ON.
