Best steak house TEX MEX or the American Indian who do a steak in Jack Daniels sauce. Chinese food try The Sunshine. Indian try the one near crazy golf on the front. If you want fish go to old town where the fish come right of the boat into the pan.

Try for South facing appartment. Food in onsite bar is good but loads of local restaurants are a short walk away

If you are visiting during the winter months then ask reception for extra warm blankets for the cold nights and also ask for the WiFi code ....
Plenty of food places to try although buffet places charge high costs on soft drinks with your meal ..

We are not night people but the twice we walked down into the resort we found the people friendly but not out on the street grabing you in as we find elsewhere we have been.

Large amount of gardners, street cleaners were evident whilst we were there. Also, every day we saw people raking/removing litter from the beach in Puerto del Carmen. Our main form of entertainment was/is to eat at a restaurant then possibly a few drinks in a bar. Superb range of restaurants - British, Italian, Tex-Mex, Indian, Chinese, Spanish, etc.- to suit all pockets.
Would I visit again? Without doubt! Our next door neighbours were on their 8th trip to Lanzarote and 5th to the Atalaya!

The resort is fantasic, Great for familys and youngers ages, The beaches are , lovley, plenty of shops bars and places to eat. i would defenetly recomend to any one

plenty of things to do must visit the fire mountains on the south tour and ride the camels are excellent plenty of live music on and loads of food places we found chadwicks bar very nice kev and tina run it the el buro restaurant is very good aswell

Some of the areas are a bit shabby, but the harbour area is beautiful, with very good restaurants and pubs with good entertainment. There is definately something here for everyone.
The beach is lovely with plenty of good snack bars across the road.
We have been there many times, and will without doubt visit Lanzarote again.

Puerto del Carmen is a nice resort stretching from the New Town to the Old Town. The Old Town has a lovely new shopping centre and lots of Irish bars(if you like them)
great fish restaurants and a visit to the Square to watch the locals throw bowls is good.
The New Town has lots and lots of places to eat and quite a few bars, we liked Diamond's for cocktails and relaxed atmosphere, a few bars have quiz nights and they are always good fun, try the San Antonio hotel in the evening as they have different acts on each night and entry is free.
You can easily walk into Matagorda from Puerto del Carmen and they beach there is lovely it will take about 1 hour strolling time but it is worth it nice bars there too.

well so many places to eat drink and be merry, lots shops,lots of tex mex restaurants with huge t bones and ribs, all food very good, fresh fish nice as well. Hawian made a nice bloody mary, ask for extra spicy if like it hot like me, Golden corner was nice to sit and people watch with a jug of sangria,saw the Flamenco dancers in Cafe Ola next to our las Velaquez apartments, nice there also, piano playing while you eat,and saw a lovely sun rise from there also,
Walked to harbour about 20 mins or so, suppose to be big stingray, but not there when we was, on walk back saw harleys hanging from a ceiling, but didnt get to go in as it was our last day, to late, will have to go back, Just did one trip around the island tour, very good, lovely holiday perfect for bit of winter sun, about 70-72, bit cloudy day with showers, but warm, nice.

Beautiful resort, long sandy beach, lovely harbour area, loads of good restaurants, great modern shopping centre apart from the usual souvenir stle shops, plenty of interesting tours and nightly entertainment and above all nice weather.
