Best steak house TEX MEX or the American Indian who do a steak in Jack Daniels sauce. Chinese food try The Sunshine. Indian try the one near crazy golf on the front. If you want fish go to old town where the fish come right of the boat into the pan.

If you are visiting during the winter months then ask reception for extra warm blankets for the cold nights and also ask for the WiFi code ....
Plenty of food places to try although buffet places charge high costs on soft drinks with your meal ..

Pool side apartments mean kids can just go and play while being watched from the apartment.

Puerto del Carmen seemed fairly clean, the only thing that we noticed was at the southern end of the town near the shopping centre, seemed to be a unpleasant smell lingering (we notice this 5 days out of 7) although it was no where near were we stayed.
Not as much, entertainment on as I thought their might be
if you have ever visited Tenerife (Playa de las Americas)then you know what i am on about. A bit disappointed by this as we like the tribute bands that you get. Just be aware that all the PR's about at night to get you into their bars and restaurants.
Beaches at Papagayo near (Playa Blanca) are brilliant and well worth a visit if you have a car, cost 3 euros to go but the sand and condition of the beaches are amazing and they have lots of little coves as well.

I was pleasantly surprised by Puerto Del Carmen. Apart from the benefit of a very short transfer time from the airport, it was also actually less tacky than I thought it would be.
There are some less salubrious parts but the sea front promenade along the Avenida de Las Playas is a great place for a morning or evening stroll with nicely landscaped gardens and palm trees along most of it's length.
The Playa Grande beach is also really excellent while the Playa de Los Pocillos beach at the Eastern end of the resort is huge with enough space for anyone to find a spot to themselves at any time of year.
The choice of restaurants is mind-blowing. We were told by our rep that you could eat in a different restaurant every day for 6 months and not have to use the same one twice. I can believe it. However, the worse thing about the resort was also the amount of people trying to entice you into their bars or restaurants along the sea front, not surprising really considering the amount of competition but tiresome after a while.
You can escape them by walking on the beachside of the promenade. For people who enjoy a bit of life about the resort they stay in, PDC is probably the best place to stay on the island.

Our hotel was at the top of 'cardiac hill'. This was not as bad as I expected and only took about five minutes to get up to the top.
We ate out every night and the best restaurant we went to was called 'puerto bahia'. the maitre de is called earnesto and the hospitality we were shown was amazing. ladies were offered shawls if we were cold and the service is amazing!!!
Food was great with a huge variety, the restaurant is in the harbour which is about a ten minute walk away but well worth it!!!
We would not hesitate to come back to this resort and are already looking for our next break away.
We had a fantastic time here and there was plenty to do, day and night, to make your holiday as busy or as quiet as you wanted!!!

Lots of nice restaurants. We got asked to go in La Braseria every night and finally went in on the last night. Typically it was the nicest meal we had. Went to scotch cafe every morning for a healthy brekky of danish pastries!

i travelled with my family there and back but knowing other families (our friends) were later joining us that day- with their being a long stretch of beach and many resteraunts around being in such a large group helped alot in settling in. also the 3 of us young adults aging 15,17 and 17 enjoyed the night life very much considering that we could go and have a social meal with all the parents and parents friends, then off to the clubs and pubs for the rest of the night. with so many pubs/clubs around along with the resteraunts the resort is a great place to meet all sorts of interests. i really did enjoy the holiday nd would without a doubt go back again!

A lovely pleasent resort, plenty of bars and restaurants but not especially rowdy. The New Town mostly middle aged couples in spring but still plenty for the teenagers.

Love PDC and all it has to offer. Very clean and they're not resting on their laurals as theyre replceing much of the paved areas around the resort.
Bars can get a bit samey night after night but if you head into the old town there are more bars to try once bored with the new town and Atlantico etc.
Beach is absolutely perfect and again spotless, the sand is "combed" every night and all litter picked up. Fantastic.
I'll be back next year for visit number 6 for sure.

The resort is clean on the main tourist areas - if you go down the side streets, you may find the pavement a bit bashed up or rubbish around but overall, the cleanliness was OK. There are few sray dogs and cats which also helped.
Entertainment varies - try the 'Sunset Beach' family pub(near the Toby Jug) or the 'Tropical' for safe family orientated bars. There are lots of activities to do across the island which will be either sold by your rep or sites across the front (you can't miss them and they'll give you a catalogue if you wlak past them).
Would definately recommend the Grand Tour and the Submarine dive. Lanzarote is a beautiful island
and is really interesting (although if I hear the name Ceaser Manrique again...) but is somewhere either you love to keep coming back to or you've seen it once and that's enough.
