Best steak house TEX MEX or the American Indian who do a steak in Jack Daniels sauce. Chinese food try The Sunshine. Indian try the one near crazy golf on the front. If you want fish go to old town where the fish come right of the boat into the pan.

Try for South facing appartment. Food in onsite bar is good but loads of local restaurants are a short walk away

If you are visiting during the winter months then ask reception for extra warm blankets for the cold nights and also ask for the WiFi code ....
Plenty of food places to try although buffet places charge high costs on soft drinks with your meal ..

Pool side apartments mean kids can just go and play while being watched from the apartment.

been to puerto del carmen before and was as pleased with it now as i was the first time i went, the resort is very clean as are the beaches the entertainment is great rangeing from quite bars and resturants to busy nightclubs and fun pubs one of which ricks bar i would definately reccommend and papagayo resturant its a great place to come if your part of a family or with friends and the weather was very hot we had a couple of days in the forties never below thirtie for whole fortnight would definately recommend puerto del carmen i know that we will be returning to this great place.

Nice and clean overall.
Entertainment was a bit same ole same ole boring but the kids loved the kareoke bars(and the 27 year old brother we took) what a laugh.
Tito's was a good choice although it boasted air conditioning it was just a load of ceiling fans blowing smoke about rather than getting rid of it, put us of a bit.
Beach spot on really hot sandals have to be worn to avoid burning even the most well worn traveller.
The resort overall was nice enogh found a few nice swimming areas, and bays near the harbour.

First time in Lanzarote. Found Puerto del Carman very tired looking. But other than that, lots of Restaurants and Bars, you will never go hungry or thirsty. Found an excellent cocktail bar "Diamond" just past the casino, cheapest Magners in town, even the Irish bars where more expensive. Staff here very pleasent, ended up here at the end of most nights. Main beach is excellent, lots of beds and parasols. Down side are the Restaurants touts who pester you every night.
All in all an excellent holiday and already looking at going back next year.

We wanted a holiday where we would be able to relax, eat well and get a decent tan and we managed to get all 3 in Puerto Del Carmen. You have to be careful though, the main strip has loads of restaurants all serving the same thing and hassling you to go in - avoid doing this as most of those restaurants were not good. Instead go further towards the old town, we found several very nice places with a friendly atmosphere and lovely food.

We love Lanzarote we have been three times now and would go back. The resort can be quite dirty [on the street] but you get used to it. The beach is lovely and large and the night entertainment is great.

These apartments are in a great location close to both the old and new towns which are lovely. We walked to both every night as it was down hill but returned in a taxi roughly 5 euros.
We ate in the old town mostly then headed to the new town for drinks in the bars and clubs. Overall we had a brilliant holiday and would definitely return. Hope you all have as good a holiday we had!!

We stayed in puerto del carmen, best of both worlds, old town has beautiful harbour and really nice restaurants and a fab shopping centre and the new town has a casino,clubs and plenty of bars!!
Beaches are beautifull and the resort is very clean.
We are returning for our 3rd holiday here this year, absolutly love it.

Puerto del Carmen In a nutshell simply fantastic This is our fourth time going back we totally love it it is my sisters 6th time going back I think that tells you enough to know its so so so worth a visit and you will definately return there again and again the entertainment is in abundance so much to choose from there is something for everyone s taste fantastic restaurants as well and We must give a special mention to Way West Restaurant simply delicious and staff fantastic and friendly

We cannot fault this resort it's really nice.lovely places to eat out,plenty to keep the kids entertained, even the Macdonalds is lovely here ,our kids must have ate there nearly every 2 days!.We will definately be going back to Lanzarote but this year we are going to Gran Canaria.
