If you are visiting during the winter months then ask reception for extra warm blankets for the cold nights and also ask for the WiFi code ....
Plenty of food places to try although buffet places charge high costs on soft drinks with your meal ..

It depends on which part of the resort you happen to be in, we found the older part of the resort quite a bit louder, far more bars and more nightlife, but a little more dirty. The area we were sited in was cleaner and quieter, however we could easily walk along the seafront to all the nightlife etc.
The beaches are plentiful and there are also little rock pools that the children did seem to enjoy playing around. There are loads of sunbeds and parasols for you to hire on the beaches.

There is everything you could need in Puerto del Carmen, restaurants, bars, shops and lovely beaches. Safe enough for the kids (teenagers) to wander about on their own.

Cleanliness: i never saw much litter except for late night/ early morning time but by the time you were up and out the next day, the streets had been cleaned. Leaving Cesars one night at 5am just be careful because the bin men go down the street hosing away all the litter!
The resort is excellent. We loved the bars and clubs and karaoke's. There is so much choice.
I have never seen anything like the beach in Lanzarote. White clean hot sand and crystal clear cool water. I even saw a fish.

Puerto del Carmen is a lively resort.
For eating out I would recommend the Lani's chain of restaurants in Puerto del Carmen. On the main strip there is a large variety of restaurants so you cannot go wrong!
Beach is beautiful but the sun loungers are pricey.
Resort is generally very clean.

Puerto del Carmen is a great resort for families and couples, there were a lot of steep inclines and steps so I would not recommend it for people with walking difficulties, although it is possible to get around. The Old town is beautiful with a charm all of its own, with the locals playing bowls most evenings. The main resort ideally caters for all ages and fun can be had by all. The beach is simply devine and swimming is excellent, but I would warn parents of young kids that there is a sharp decline just out a small bit that puts kids out of their depth quite quickly. All in all a fun place to be with lots to do. I also would recommend that you visit the Timafaya National Park and do the camel ride!

The hotel was lovely and had a great atmosphere. Cleaned on a regular basis and plenty of clean towels. Shopping area just behind the apartments. Bars and restaurants in a minute walking distants. Restuarant in the place was lovely too. Pool table, air hockey table, books in the restaurant/bar. Spa in the hotel. 2 mins from the beach. Lovely pool and was cleaned every day. Basic but if you want to be near it all with out being in the expensive part this is the place.

PDC is the best!!!! I love the harbour and Old town areas especially but the whole resort is excellent. I have stayed in Playa Blanca before but will always come to PDC from now on.. It has SOMETHING to suit everyone..no doubt about that..

Being the first time to lanzarote we were not sure what to expect but we neednt have worried. the resort is ideal for all ages. it caters for the yoyung or not so young. it can be as lively or as quiet and relaxed as you like. If its disco,s and loud noise you want its there or if you want to enjoy a nice meal with a sea view and a quiet drink while you "people watch" you can do that. The atmosphere is amazing.

The resort as a whole is good. Consists of a long road filled with bars, restaurants, clubs, shops, a casino etc. There is a shopping mall too. The beach is all along the front. You can go out on pedal boats at the beach and hire sunbeds and umbrellas to lie with. There is loads of public telephones and there are ATMs around too. Good resort for adults who like nightlife. Only downside is the promotors for bars who are always chasing you and trying to get you into their bar which is annoying when you don't want to go in a bar or are making your way home.

Have been to Puerto Del Carmen 3 times, love its close proximity to the airport. CAn't comment on the beach this time as we didn't venture to it. Resort cleanliness poor, especially when you go into the port in the old town alot of dirty grubby smelly buildings! We didn't go to the main strip this year but did venture there last year, which is more lively. I probably would go back to PUerto Del Carmen again if I could find decent accommodation at a decent price!
