If you are visiting during the winter months then ask reception for extra warm blankets for the cold nights and also ask for the WiFi code ....
Plenty of food places to try although buffet places charge high costs on soft drinks with your meal ..

Puerto del Carmen is great for eating and drinking. If you want a quiet drink/meal, turn left at the bottom of the hill. There you will find our favourite restaurant a little way along the street "Lani's ". There are loads of different "lani's" restaurants, but we liked the one on the corner with the blue and green mosaics on the walls.
If you looking for lively bars that go on until the early hours, turn right at the bottom of the hill. There you will find more bars, discos and diners than you can wish to imagine. We liked Harley Rock (although it was a bit pricey). We also liked several bars in Centro Atlantico (which is a complex of stacks of bars on three floors), including Charlies, The Hippodrome and The Big Apple. Beware of the touts that try to drag you into the bars, they're very persuasive and whilst you usually get two for one offers on drinks it can sometimes be a bit annoying if you just want to find your own fun. Still, we enjoyed watching them drag others into the bars! Most, if not all, allow kids in so if you're a family you dont need to worry about baby sitting. It's fantstic for young teenagers!
Dont miss some of the places of interest and trips. We hired a car and visited Teguise Market,Mirador Del Rio, Jameos del Agua, Papagayo, Playa Blanca and the Timanfaya National Park. They were all wonderful, unforgettable experiences. The highlight of the holiday for me was a trip on a catamaran. We not only saw dolphins, but they raced with the boat, they loved it as much as we did! I would reccomend a holiday here. We plan to go back soon.

The resort is huge, plenty of good cheap food restaraunts (classy and tacky) your choice.Brit bars always charge you more for drink, even when its only the name thats British.
If we had young children I can see it would be a nightmare with a buggy, the paving is very narrow, and once off the seafront it gets hilly.

All you need is here. a clean and tidy resort with loads of good places to eat & drink, try the Sunset beach bar just on the sea front where the food is very good and the staff are english (Watch out for the belly buster breakfast), lots of places to shop for gifts, if you enjoy walking there is 6Km of seafront shops with all types of goods, Also Mcdonalds and Burger King for the kids, the beach is very clean and the sea is blue, just a dream, we will definatly be coming back

PDC is the perfect resort for couples and families. I would not reccomend it for groups of single man or women though as the majority of people there are in couples or with family. It has excellent restaurants and great pubs to suit everyones taste.

Great food at lanis restarants. plenty of variety to choose from.we loved the seafood restarants in the harbour taxis were dirt cheap it wasnt worth walking any where, bartering for goods in the shops was rife you could almost name your own price.a

Busy resort without being manic. Plenty to do and with good beaches. Dozens of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. We liked the restaurants and bars in the old town and would therefore recommend picking a hotel located at that end of the resort.
PDC (along with Playa Blanca) is much less windy than Costa Teguise and this would be an important factor to me when selecting a Lanzarote resort.
