Best steak house TEX MEX or the American Indian who do a steak in Jack Daniels sauce. Chinese food try The Sunshine. Indian try the one near crazy golf on the front. If you want fish go to old town where the fish come right of the boat into the pan.

If you are visiting during the winter months then ask reception for extra warm blankets for the cold nights and also ask for the WiFi code ....
Plenty of food places to try although buffet places charge high costs on soft drinks with your meal ..

We have been to Lanzarote on 5 occasions & have enjoyed ourselves.
But for various reasons this trip was not as enjoyable.
The main road was under major construction.
The prices in the bars & restaurants were very expensive due to the strong euro & weak pound.
Some bars just did not have a clue what to charge for drinks, In one particular bar,1 pint of local beer & 1 bottle of Magners cider was £9.00, absolutely ridiculous.

the only reason i'm scoring so low for cleaninless and entertainment is because of the roadworks that were ongoing at the time (new one way system being developed) but were due to finish in feb. we were there in sept 08 and i would have given everything 5 out of 5 back then.

Peurto del carmen is a pretty resort and very well maintained. Stretches from the new town way down to the old town and harbour which is worth a visit. Loads of places to eat, always spoilt for choice. Nice beach, lots of space. Unfortunatly from Oct-end of Dec '08 the main road is being dug up to re-new all the sewage pipes so it's not looking it's best at the moment.

Puerto Del Carmen is a fairly clean resort but the front is being dug up to make a one way traffic system so not very pleasant to stroll along at the present time but will look much nicer when completed. Entertainment is the usual singers in bars with karaoke. The beach is very nice. I have visited here 8 times now so I think that speaks for itself.

Puerto Del Carmen is a great place and Club Calypso perfectly located near beach, Spar supermarket etc. Loads of entertainment nearby.

resort was kept clean and tidy and although not a beach person it looked spotless when passing ... if you cant find a bar, club or restaraunt to appeal to your taste then i suggest you stay at home . deffinitely something for all and you wont even have to miss the football as every match is shown .. this was our first time in lanzarote so it was a bit of a factfinding tour but will certainly be back next summer with chidren .. as a last word i,ve read other reviews which have stated they it was a bit pricey but from our point of view , compared to other canary islands and mainland spain we thought it was great value for money ...

the resort is excellent. the beach is lovely and stretches on for miles and hardly any stones or seaweed in the sea.
the main strip has plenty of restaurants from chineese to indian, mexican to stake houses.
when leaving plaza palmera walk down the hill and about half way down there is an irish bar.(i think is called spinikers) this is excellent if your looking for a nice meal, it as excellent views of the ocean and they do brill entertainmebt in the bar. wednesday nights they have a hypnotist and saturdays they have a comedian.
the drinks in taquila bar a yummy, huge cocktails for 6 euros!!!
Beware of the chavs outside paradise bar, they constantly badger u to go in for a drink, we went on our first night and its a total dive and they charge an absolute bomb!
a must is a ferry over to fuerteventura. the sand dunes are amazing! we also went over to lobos which was great, hardly anyone lives there apart from fisherman who often stay on the island. i belive the beaches here are nudist though.
we also visted an animal park on the north of the island. if u ask the guy taken the pictures he will let u go inside the penguin inclosure and have your picture taking with them fr 5 euros an dthe same with the parrotts.
all in all it was a great holiday but i have visited the island twice now so would like to try somewhere else.

Very clean resort, entertainment - something for everyone - a bit disappointed in the beach - alright for a walk - we didn't do any sunbathing - too rocky and the sand horrible.
