Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views
Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.

The resort was good. It's pretty much divided in two. Walk out the hotel to your left and you find restaurants, shops, the crazy golf course, diving centre etc. If you turn right out of the hotel you also find shops but also this is the way for night life, the clubs and bars etc. The beach is straight ahead, at first we couldn't find anything but rocks but the further left you go you find the manmade beach which is proper sand and very clean! There is a sports bar which is jus right out of the hotel called the heroford bull, very english! Also further up the road leonardo's bar which is lively, enlgish and definetly good for the young. The only thing I would warn people about is scratch card men, but they never approached us, sunglasses and jewellery sellers on the streets and also at night if you go up to the bars be aware of people nagging you to go to their bar! There are loads of people who do this and they don't leave you alone!

The promenade offers a nice walk both heading east towards Playa de la Americas (around 20 mins) and to the west towards the rest of Costa Adeje. As expected there were the usual African street vendors who appeared to be mostly selling sunglasses for €5.00 although I never actually saw anyone buying them. They were not too much of a bother and responded to a firm but polite “no thank-you”.
More of a problem I’m sorry to say were the UK expatriates offering numerous scratch cards to win holidays and timeshare etc. They appeared to work in packs and became quite abusive if you turned down their offers. This must be a well-recognised problem as there is a poster outside the main door of the dining room of the hotels warning about their exploits.
There weather we had was good with only 1 or 2 slightly cloudy days over the 2 week period although don’t be caught out on the overcast days as you can still easily get sunburnt especially any fellow men who are follically challenged (best buy a hat)
The beach is well equipped with the usual parasols and sun loungers with access for wheelchairs although some of the slopes were quite steep. The beach proudly flies its blue flag and was generally clean apart from areas where smokers appeared to congregate leaving their piles of cigarette buts.
Overall it was a good holiday and the area is far better than Playa de la Americas where we went a couple of years ago so if you go have a good time.

This was our first time in Tenerife Playa del las americas,It was lovely and great just walking up the promande. The main promlem is the touts that are about everywhere trying to give you scratch cards these pest should be removed as I go on holiday to relax not get pestered from these people.

The area surrounding the hotel is very nice, but very hilly you will find that in most areas in tenerife for obvious reasons. Plenty of sovenier shops but dont buy in the first one you see look around more for the cheapest. The local beach is a 5 minute walk from the hotel we stayed in. once down by the beach you will find alot of guys trying to sell you stuff just say no if your not intersted but you may have to be a bit strong in how you say it they wont take no for an answer another thing you could try is say you live there it worked a few times for us.
There's a really nice cocktail/american dinner called harleys definatly worth a visit we did twice once for cocktails then again a few days later for a meal it's not that cheap but well worth it.

We stayed at the very begining of Los Cristianos, where it is quiet, so you would have to walk or catch a taxi.

Neither myself of my girlfriend had been to Tenerife before but had heard many mixed comments from friends. Some stated that the part we were going to which was Playa de Las Americas was a very lively 'Ibiza' style place, whish was also a bit of a building site, well I can happily say this didn't appear true. I think in the entire combined resorts of Playa de Las Americas, Los Cristianos and Puerta Colon we saw 1 hotel having some work done which caused no disruption in the area. Also with regards to the lively nightlife I can again say that is far from the truth.
In fact we were slightly disappointed that the local bars etc were rather quiet, but we put this down to being slightly out of season. Anyway, the area on the whole was quite nice, all very new and modern. And despite the fact that Tenerife is known for black sand beaches the local ones were very nice. Playa itself has one small problem which cannot be helped but may cause problems for some people, which is simply that it is a relatively new resort which appears to have built up to join the gap between Los Cristianos and Puerta colon, therefore there isn't really a resort centre to playa, its very spread out. It feels more like you're on the outskirts of the adjoining resorts rather than in the centre of playa. Nothing is more than a 10 or 20 minute walk away and it’s generally flat ground, but depending on the amount of walking you intend to do, keep this in mind.
There are plenty of shops close by and lots of bars a couple of minutes walk away, there is also a small supermarket opposite the hotel and plenty of essentials such as pharmacists near by. There are plenty of excursions advertised, many of which we intended to go on but never got round to it. We did however go to Aqualand, which is only a 5 minute ride on a free bus which picks up 2 blocks away, a good day out, especially with kids. Slightly expensive though. (Just a quick note that we do have children, and although we didn’t take them with us on this occasion, we were bearing them in mind throughout the holiday so a lot of this is from a parents point of view).
