Attached to the Hotel is a bar, well worth sitting here at night - only thing is your all-inclusive option stops the moment you go past reception so drinks aren't free here.

Olu Deniz is set in a very picturesque setting. However, it is a purpose built holiday resort and as such has no character - once you've seen one shop you've seen them all. There is nothing of interest there, except the blue lagoon which is very pretty. The beach is a bit of a let down because although most of it (90%+) is fine sand, where the beach meets the sea it is rough pebbles and quite steep so beach shoes are required to get in to the sea which has a steep shelf and you are out of your depth within 10 feet.

The resort was very clean, you would see the shop keepers washing down the floors in the early hours of the morning. The shop keepers were not pushy and if you didn't have the correct change they would say pay me next time you come in...
Visit Pepinos bar on the main street Casanova will try to tempt you in. We spent alot of our evenings here and the staff couldn't have looked after us any better. We watched 2 of the engalnd games here and teh atmosphere was second to none. We had fireworks and flares and all the staff donned their england tops. Say hi to Murphy, Oz and Kevin if you pop in there.
Sultan pepper restuarant looked after our friends very well as their son went down with chicken pox and could not leave their room to go out for a meal. Sultan pepper said if they selected a meal they would cook it and deliver it to their room for them and collect the dishes later on in the evening and true to their word they did this at no extra cost.

Olu Deniz is not a large resort but we found just enough to occupy two weeks at night time, the beach is pebbly but clean with plenty of beds to spare the Blue Lagoon is a 15 min walk. We only went once it is down to taste if you want to return there we did not, plenty of trips to do, paragliders landing all day, plenty of boat trips, travelling to and from resort is on a bad mountainous road that could do with an improvement.
We have been to better resorts but did have a good time there and is worth a weeks holiday.

Going to the beach is a 5 minute stroll past the shops. All the locals are friendly and will say morning to you every time you pass.
There is a supermarket around the corner, where you can stock up on bottled water for the fridge.
Plenty of shops selling fake tshirts, fantastic leather bags and shoes.
Great bars: Tequila where they practice air guitar, Cloud 9 on the beach front, Buzz Bar downstairs and upstairs. Upstairs is a fab view of the resort.
Restaurants recommended: Secret Garden - 2 mins from the hotel, Cloud 9 on the beach front, Buzz bar, and loads on the beach front.
Take a dolmus for less than £2 to Hisarou for a great indian meal. Hisarou is cheaper than Olu Deniz.
The lagoon is beautiful, but much hotter than the resort.
We hired a speedboat for the day £15 per head and had a great time with the firm Focus...also booked the paragliding with Focus who are very professional. There is a strike on at the moment with the paragliders as the land owner of the 6000ft mountain wants too much, so they are now using another mountain at 35000 feet - still high!
Olu Deniz does not have fast food chains or much for teenagers, but Hisarou has night clubs.

Olu Deniz is a stunningly beautiful resort and as you come around the mountain (to coin a phrase!)and look down into the resort it takes your breath away.
In my opinion it is the perfect size to walk around, loads of shops and offices selling excusions (all of execllent standard but we recommend Easy riders and seaside tours. The beach is sandy at the top but as you get to the water it is stoney and your feet sink something wicked! The sunsets are lovely and it is nice to stroll along the seafront of an evening.
Great resort, something for everyone and we will definately return.

The resort of Olu Deniz was very nice, the traders in the shop fronts were good fun and always liked a chat & banter. The beach and Blue Lagoon were beautiful, a really nice part of Turkey.
