Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.
All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views

It was my first time on Tenerife and I must admit I was a bit disappointed with the weather it was cloudy at first.
The island itself is lovely but the area where we stayed, Playas las Americas is plagued by people who are trying to sell you stuff they are mainly Chinese people and Coloured people they call them "lucky men”, its quite a novelty at first but after a while it gets annoying and intimidating especially when you are eating your dinner they get on your nerves a bit.
Don’t be afraid to say no to these people I seen a lucky man stop two teenage lads and they looked a bit scared of him.Dont be intimidated by them if they hassle you tell them you will call the police and they will soon disappear.
Only take out enough cash with you for the night and try to avoid taking wallets, I kept my cash loose in my pocket.
I only had one bad experience with a time-share tout he told me I had won a prize on a scratch card, I did not fall it I told him I was not interested and he soon got the message.
Most of the restaurants and bars have what is known as PR'S they are paid to get you to go into their establishments they are not to bad but you are hassled.
There were some good places the full Monty was ok, The Wigan pier was brill and we also seen one of the best chubby Brown impersonators I have ever seen.
There is an Irish Pub called the Braizenhead they had the best pint of Guinness. Also down the road from the full Monty there is a bar called JAGS, a very nice Scottish couple runs this they are friendly.
Also, the place was spotlessly clean and the food was great I would recommend you give it a try if you are with the family.
Tenerife is a lovely place it is just a shame that you get so much hassle on a night out, always stay together and do not take out more money than you need.
P.S try out the go-karts they are brilliant well worth the money.

Been to Tenerife many times (3 times this year) we knew what to expect.
The Beach by Parque Santiago III is the best and Cleanest, and the fanabe beach is nice too.
For breakfast try Jaks near Torviscos market good value and nice food, they do a good sunday dinner i believe.
Another good restaurant is The Bistro, which is attached to the Nogal Beach Hotel in Adeje, excellent lamb chops there and a great variety, alway visit there at least once while were there.
A good British Pub is the Toby Jug near the water park, great prices and good beer.
For a good laugh and good entertainment, and a Late night karaoke try the brewers Droop on the patch in Las Americas.
Another Good karaoke and entertainment night is the Moonlight Bar near torviscos Market karaoke on between 9pm and 11pm then an act and then back to karaoke, my son kriss Liked it there, he likes to get up and entertain

I liked where we were located, close enough for us to walk down to the shops, beach and resturants but not smack in the center of it all ie. so many hotels stuck together, glad we were away from all of them!
Resturants were plenty and cheap, just drinks that could be expensive. Lots of choice for everyone.
The 'aqua park' is worth a visit, we enjoyed it and had a great day, don't miss the dolphin show.
'Lora park' nice but it is was too crowded and there were too many very rude German and Spanish people who will not queue!!!
The 'Medieval night' was good with food and drink included.
Supermarket was only 5 mins away with a huge selection.
Wasn't impressed with the gift shops, all selling tacky goods.
Places I would recommend to eat at were:
'The Slow Boat 3' 'Pizza resturant next door to Slowboat' 'Harleys' 'Phoenix City' & 'Aberdeen Steak House'
We weren't bothered by ticket touts (time share) in Los Americas only when we went to the Sunday market in Los Christianos.
Beware if you want to spend the day on the beach... 3 euros for the sunbed, 2 euros for the pad to go on the sunbed and 3 euros for the sun parasol!!!

Although Playa de las Americas has a reputation for being 'lively', there are lots of very nice hotels and apartment complexes. Most people over the age of 18 wouldn't want to go near to the veronicas area anyway for entertainment.
There are so many different places to eat all at different prices, but most are very reasonable. Personally I dont go for English 'Joe's cafe' style food or bars showing Eastenders tho there are plenty of these. But there are so many other restaurants to eat at, and lots of very nice bars.
All restaurants have their menus displayed outside, but beware. Even if you can get a Sirloin for 7 Euros you'll pay the same sort of price per person for a couple of drinks (soft or alcoholic) to accompany the meal. These prices are never displayed. If you have kids with you you can easily spend more on 'pop' than food.
I have been to P dl Americas 4 times in 15 years and have seen the type of tourist change, to a much younger age group. The hotels got shabbier and the resort looked dirty in a lot of places - with rubbish stacked on the pavements and so on.
The time share touts and cheap t shirt vendors have been moved on. We saw a good level of police presence this time, making sure these people weren't around, tho they have been replaced by the big black women insisting on braiding your hair! They now should tackle the restaurant 'pushers' asking you to look at their menus. sonstantly.
The resort is now being targeted by developers of 5 star hotels to bring its reputation back up. If you go to the north of the resort to the Fanabe area the hotels and restaurants are beautiful. The private beaches for the hotels are far superior to those in the centre of the resort.
Similarly, at the opposite end of the resort heading towards Los Christianos new luxury hotels and designer shopping malls have been built.
Guess it has something for everyone!

Cleanliness - The hotel and shop streets and pavements are well maintained and clean. The seafront area is good with improvments being made.
Entertainment - Lots of choice
Beach - Playa Adeje is very nice, even on busy days there seems to be room for everyone.
We enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

The hotel is really close to the nightlife. Yates's is one of the best places to go which involes lots of free drinks and naked people. We then moved on to linikers which means having to dance on the table and chairs after 11. They shut at 3 then its onto rags. Tramps looked good if you were into dance and house. didnt go to the beach, walked along it, but it looked like it was all pebbles. one girl had fallen over and cut all her legs. I did speak to somebody who said there was a sandy beach nearby, but never looked for it as the pool was fine. overall this was a great holiday and met loadsa new friends. Just wished we'd been there another week. Plan on going back next year for two. Would reccomend this holiday fo a drinking and sun holiday!!

The resort was ideal for families, with many bars having varied cabaret throughout the night. Plenty of good restaurants & a McDonalds nearby for the kids.It was a pleasant walk around the coastline at night into the busier part of PDLA(but quite a long one)-or about a 10 minute walk inland. The taxis were very cheap & plentiful anyway. There were plenty of good shopping areas within easy reach, many designer stores too.The beaches were great-the motorised boats that looked like dodgems are brilliant, the hot air balloon is worth going up in for the great views. We would definatly visit this area again,2weeks isnt long enough to do & see it all.

we found a really nice beach by playa de la vistas which was only about a 10min walk from the hotel, with golden sand, really clean and warm water, there was a little bit of rubbish but no more than on some english beaches, also more importantly to me hardly any fish, cos they freak me out! we visited the beaches of playa del troya but that really is black and mainly shingle, however good if you like rock pools. The veronicas and Starco are about 10mins away too, so easy to get home if you've had a few too many, prepare yourselves however because the plce is crawling with looky looky men who will try and shake your hand and then grab your watch, or pa's. If you just ignore them and dont catch their eye's your usually alright, although it can be a bit annoying! The Pa's you can work to your advantage and get some good drinks deals out of them cos they're so desparate for you in their clubs, but stick to your guns, and dont let them keep changing the price, if they do go on to somewhere else, there's plenty around, starcos is where the best places are, e.g. rags, yates, weatherspons linekers etc... Well worth going up Mnt Teide, however be prepared they will often hit you after the extra expense of the excursion up there with another 20 euros each to go up in the cable car. But it is worth it, you will never experience anything like it! Also there are many whale watching excursions there as the island is home to almost 80% of the known whale species in the world so you will almost definately see something. Personally we found the aquapark a bit of a let down considering how everything else was such value for money, this was a rip off, is was expensive to get in and tne everything else if oyu wanted a sun bed they said you had to pay (we just hid and no one noticed though) a tyre (5 euros) however half the rides you cant go on without a tyre! lockers 5 euros, etc etc food was also expensive, also the whole park was salt water so be prepared, cos its a bit nasty on the rides when it squirts in your face. The only good bit of it was the dolpin show, they were good, and i can only hope some of the money they grab off you goes towards their upkeep and dolphin rescue. Overall though if you are anything like us a really good and well balenced holiday!
