Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.
All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views

The areas around the hotel had plenty of good restaurants and bars and nice walks into the Port Colon area and San Eugenie area which is only about 10 - 15 mins walk away if you wanted more choice of bars and ones which were livlier. We especially liked the 2 Irish bars in the San Eugenie area, the Temple Bar and the Irish Fiddlers(??)
The beach is really nice here the sand is a bit darker than your med resorts but not much darker. Plenty of sunbeds and watersports. Beware if you swim out to the rocks as the rocks are very slippery trying to get on to them.

Playa De Las Americas is one of the most popular resorts in Tenerife though it some times felt a little too British it was a very friendly and happy go lucky environment.
What did annoy me though was that the British pubs, clubs and restaurants were the busiest which is such a shame as us British tend to take our English breakfasts where ever we go. So how about when in Rome do as the Romans ?
The main strip of bars, known as Veronicas is very lively and entertaining.
There are seven beaches to visit in Playa De Las Americas alone. We visited a mixed sand beach and due to the mineral sand content it was very hot at times. The beach is clean and easily accessible as is clearly sign posted.
There are some very attractive hotels and sights. One particular excursion I would recommend is Loro Parque (parrot park) very entertaining day out - well worth the money. We also visited Sky Park & Aqualand too.

Beach was very nice but in the hot sun its a long uphill walk back to the hotel.
Try the Royal Family chineese restaurant for a nice meal.

Just a 10 minute walk to the main shopping/drinking areas. You need to travel a bit for a good beach. Best one nearby is Playa Del Duque which was only a 5 euro taxi trip. (Get a quote before you set off) And about the same to the nearest big shopping areas. Most of the local beach bars are "Live Football" things. But do a bit of searching and there are some great places if that's not for you. If you only do one thing here, get yourself on a whale and dolphin ocean trip. We went on Freebird 1 from the marina. Make sure you pay for a video of the trip. Better than any pics or video you can do yourself. Bit pricey at 40E, but makes it even more unforgettable.

This resort is very very touristy. There are lots of steep slopes and steps to reach all areas, not suitable for people with walking difficulties. It is very clean and the beech is avarage. Make sure sandles are worn in the sea as there are many sharp rocks under the water. The shops are basically the same, selling all the usual touristy things. We didn't find the assistants very friendly, just want your money! We would not recommend this resort and would not go back.

Adeje / Puerto Colon area masses better than Las Americas for families & couples. Quieter & more reserved, cleaner and less touts. More places to eat & drink in a relaxed atmosphere.
Would always opt for here over LA or LC !!!

Costa Adeje is a beautiful resort and the council will not allow any "tacky" development to be built. The beach is cleaned every morning. There is a hotel about half a mile along the resort where allegedly George Michael stays and prices start from £3000.00 per night. The restaurants and bars at this end are classy and prices reflect the ambience.

the great, and well only great thing about it is that it is only a 5 minute dander, or 10 min stagger, from the veronicas strip, which is pretty mad, good places to go are "the crows nest","tramps" and "rags" and the whetherspoons/yates complexes. stay clear of linekers, as it is an absolute rip-off: 4 of us went in and got 2x"sex on the beach", 1x"blue lagoon" and 1x"dv and red bull", how much, 30eur
and watch out for the "looky-looky" people as you may find yourself getting close to fighting with them-they are that annoying. try and ignore the PR's for the bars/clubs, unless they offer you a fantastic deal. but thats about what i can report back on. the apts were very basic, but the nightlife and the craic we all had more than counteracted for it. well worth going to playa de las americas! cracking time!

i would recommend the ship for eating, superb service and large meals an average meal for 5 big eaters and a child cost about 42 euros (£28) and that included drinks.
having a good laugh you must go to garfields but not on a wednesday the entertainment is bad!
the beach is always crowded you have to get there early if you want a bit of shade,
i would go back to tenerife but not here,
ther were nicer places to stay near the aqua park!
