Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.
All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views

Have visited Playa de las Americas on a number of occasions and have enjoyed the resort each time. The Arona area is quieter than the central Veronicas area, although there are still several good restaurants and bars.

A very lively resort, definitely for the youngsters. The streets were filthy, mainly with vomit from the drunkards! Everywhere we went we were hassaled by people trying to braid your hair, sell you fake designer watches etc. But the weather was brilliant!

I'd heard loads about tenerife, and my boyfrind wanted to take me as i'd not been, first the beach isn't nice forget the colour, it isn't clean there's rubbish all over and it smells we went on once the only nice thing is the local beach sellers who sell you drink and fruit who shout silly things so your entertained. So what is it like yeah i guess it is a nice place and i probably might go back, it did get boring during the day, as all you can do is walk around, at the nite i was shocked the clubs look good but there was hardely anyone there, the season seemed pretty dead and some of the pr's said it was dead aswell and everyone was going to other places, bobbys and busby were good we dint really manage to feel awake enough for the other clubs as they dont start proper till 2/3 in the morning but we did ave some nice nights, The aqua park is good and thats the only time my body saw the water if it wasn't so much (22 euro each) we would of gone more and to see the dolphins is included in the price, even though we said we should of gone back to faliraki ( as there are bars on the beach with good music playin and you can really chill) i am glad i've been to tenerife. Oh and the all you can eat buffets at the chinese places are to die for they were lovely and it only 5.50 and the sunset was great too everybody were just lined up watching it and taking pictures.

This resort is perfect for families. Quiet with a short taxi ride to crazy Playa. There is plenty to do, with all the hotels putting on entertainment and they welcome outsiders. The beach front is lovely with piles of bars and restaurants. There are a few Aberdeen Steak Houses in the resort with varying quality. The very best is the one furthest west on the beach front with a manager from Chile. He was brilliant and spoiled our children. The food was superb and very good value. Some of the others offer beer for 1 euro to entice you in, but the food isn't as good.
The In and Out restaurant is a must. Lovely setting, great food, with a smooth band playing in the open air. We were shocked that they didn't do a kids menu, but were then chuffed when they said to pop next door to MacDonalds, get a kids meal and they would plate it for us. How impressed were my kids?
The resort is well worth visiting. We kept meeting people who were on their 3rd/4th visit, which is a good sign.

we stayed in playa de las americas. there is so much to do in this resort that it is unbelievable, there is absolutely everything. anyone being bored in a resort such as this, would be better not going on holiday in the first place. the cleanliness is amazing. loads of entertainment day and night and a first class beach.

The hotel was at the edge of Costa Adeje and playa de las americas. The main resort was Playa de las americas, where the veronica strip (night-life) was and the Santiago shopping centres. There was plenty of entertainment in the resort, there was shopping open til 10pm at night (shops are shut during the afternoon),miniture golf, veronica strip where all the clubs and pubs were. The beaches were nce to go at night not onto the sea front but sitting above looking at the moon.
The beaches were clean, they werent littered. However some parts of the sea did contain a lot of sea weed, which covered your hair. The beahces were mostly black volcanic sand or sand imported from the Sahara Desert. Its beautiful and gets very hot (watch out you dont burn your feet). The waves are calm and gentle so they dont knock you in, the closer you are to the shore, the faster the waves come.
There are excursion available, boat trips to see dolphins or whales, you are not guaranteed to see both. However at the start of the trip, everyone is given a sick bag because its a very rough journey, althought you are only about 1-2 hours away from land. There is Mount Teide, its about 1 1/2 hrs away from playa de las americas. There is a cable cart up there to take to to the top, you cannot go to the crater without a permit (dont know where to get these from). Its costs about 15-20 euros to go up. The views are well worth it though.Much better than staying down where the coaches are. You can see La Gomera and the Gran Canaria from the top. Your above the clouds!
I would visit the resort again as it was enjoyable. Staff everywhere were pleasant. However, some camera shop men are not very friendly if your only intending to browse their shops and compare prices. Everyone in the party enjoyed it, its very fun but if your staying in the central resort areas.
I hope you find my review as helpful as possible.

Personally I probably wouldn't go back again. Wasn't that keen on the Tenerife experience. Too many drunks and northerners to put it bluntly. Not really enough to do except walk around, especially if you don't feel like getting drunk during the day, which in such a warm climate you just don't feel like doing. Put it all down as a holiday experience, and now know a bit more as to what I like and don't like.
Most places speak English and not short of somewhere to buy a beer and get some food. If that is the sort of holiday you prefer then it may well be the place for you.

Resort cleanliness I thought was very good indeed well kept bins were never overflowing pretty good I think.
Resort entertainment is amazing especially the Cally bar if you want a good night out go to the Cally you will love it. Also bobby’s was great good music and has a good scene and vibe to it. Drinks were cheap 3 euro a pint most places and 4 euro for a cocktail.
The beach was good to but when it’s hot you will feel it on your feet so wear flip-flops all the time on the beach.
Would I visit this resort again yes I would infact we are booking up again soon to go back to Tenerife so watch out for us in 05
