Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views
Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.

Costa Adeje is at the northern end of Playa de las Americas and is much newer and upmarket but still has plenty of entertainment for all ages . the whole area is spotless and friendly.
I would return to this area tomorow.
P.s dont buy anything off the beach sellers as they rip you off.

Purpose built resort, with a coastal path that stretches for miles in both directions. Plenty of beaches to check out in both directions. Del Duque beach is lovely. You can hire bicycles out for 7.50 Euro's Reception will organise for you, we requested them, and 15 minutes later they were delivered to the hotel. Check the bikes before you take them, the wheel nearly came off one of ours, and we had to go back to the hotel, and get Mr Bike to come back and swap it. Bus services are available close by that take you to Los Gigantes (3.50€ each way), Playa del las Arenas (€3.25), Las Galletas (€3.30 each way), and are reliable and regular. You can get boat trips from Los Cristianos, Los Gigantes to go and see the Whales and Dolphins, prices start about 16 Euro's for 2 hours.
We didn't find much in the way of entertainment in the Parque Santiago area, mainly restaurants. Think there were a couple of karaoke bars, but we found a restaurant that had live music called El Asador - the grill in Avda Santiago Puig. Food was very good, 3 course meal option for under €8 or you could select from the normal menu. I believe spanish dancing/music could be found in Los Cristianos area. On a saturday evening, there was dancing in the square outside the hotel at about 7.45pm.
I would go back to Tenerife as it was excellent for some winter sun, but I personally would prefer to stay in Los Cristianos, as it is a little more traditional, beach is excellent there, and it's not too far to go to Las Americas if you fancy going shopping.
If you are disabled, or have walking difficulties, this is definitely an excellent place to go on holiday as the resorts really cater for this. Most beaches have wheelchair access and toilets and the lifeguards take disabled people down to the sea for a swim. Also for those with walking difficulties or the elderly, you can hire mobility scooters.

Tenerife offers year around sunsine which is why try and visit at least once a year. Drink is still so much cheaper than the UK and there are still reasonably priced places to eat out.
The beaches are sandy and are cleaned first thing every morning.
I recommend visiting the new Siam Water Park.

Simply loved Las Americas.
Within easy reach of our hotel was Linekers, Yates et al. The only criticism of these places (and it might just be my advancing age) is the number of PRs trying to get you to drink in their bar, trying to convince you that 12 euros for 4 pints is a good deal - its not.
In the main we prefered to go to the quieter bars, such as the Giddy Goose, Travellers Rest and Corner Pub. As well as being more laid back than the bars on the main drag, they were better value for money also.
For food out at night, the Safari Centre had a good choice as did the area around our hotel on Av. Rafael Puig and Av. Santiago Puig.
Overall the resort kept us occupied, was clean and tidy, and in a better state of repair than Los Cristianos (which we'd walked to one of the days - not impressed).
We will be back.
