Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views
Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.

Avoid like the plaque its dirty and unclean and the pool area was dirty and un safe the stairs leading in the pool was broken I had to complain about it

My top tip is to get the bus from the airport as it stops at the top of the road by Magna Building save on transfers

Standard spanish holiday resort, not to big and good choice of shops/restauraunts etc.
Excellent beach at Las Vistas
Restaurants were aplenty and varied in price for meal and drink from about 35-45 euros depending on location. I would recommend the Italian to the right of the fountain feature on the main strip between two steakhouses.

First visit to PDLA and Los Cristianos but really enjoyed it, very flat and walking frendly!

plenty of bars in this area without going further afield but you can walk in to las americas along sea front path. takes about 30 mins.

The Fanabe area is a very new and well looked after area in Tenerife with lots of local attractions and slightly away from all the busy hussle bussle of Las' Americas.... Perfect.

We were pleasantly surprised by Playa De Las Americas. We found it smarter, cleaner and far less brash than we imagined it would be with a good choice of shops, bars and restaurants and some nice new pedestrianised areas. The promenade is a pleasant place to stroll, but can be spoilt at times by the African street traders trying to sell you sunglasses and the touts trying to entice you into their restaurants or shops. Finding a parking place anywhere near the front is also a problem, especially in the mornings. Our favourite beach was the Camillo beach, just round the corner from the bigger playa de la vistas beach. Best of all, it was definitely sunnier here than northern resorts like Puerto de la Cruz which we visited twice during our stay.

the resort is not the worst i have seen but it could be better.the entertainment in the resort is very good from live bands to comedy acts and of coarse karioke bars as well.the beach is not that good next to the hotel.

as usual resort spotless and clean. stayed not far from the patch,looking a bit dated now, but every where else great.

As regards location this is a quiter area than Las Americas and Los Christianos (which suited us fine). Those areas are easily reached by taxi or on foot although the walk is quite long.
There is a beach behind the hotel (about one minute from the back door of the hotel)and there are plenty of sunbeds there.

Fanabe is lovely with a lovely promenade and clean beach. Some great value shops and the prices in the bars have really dropped - 1.50euro for a pint!! It was at least 3.50 when I was last there 2 years ago but it is a sign of tough times, they just have to get punters in.
One word of warning and this is genuine. There is a jetty that sticks out about 100 yards. The first bit is concrete and then it is just large boulders. I was there one day talking to a guy who was fishing. He advised me not to go on there in bear feet or flip flops, not because of glass, barnacles or crabs....because of the rats!!! I laughed and he pointed to a couple pointing at something. I walked back and looked and saw 2 large brown rats feeding on something in the rocks in broad daylight, totally unconcerned by our presence. They can transmit weils disease through their urine which is a very serious disease and can enter the body through cuts or scratches...please be carefull!!!
