Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views
Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.

We like live entertainment and your spoilt for choice here. Jersey cow as 2 acts a night. Drunken dog and the Sax bar down the area known as the patch also have acts on.A special mention must go to a band we saw in Shennigans also down the patch, they were called Crush and they were excellent. At the end of the night we popped into a pub called the Carriages which was a British pub ran by a nice bloke called Ian who made us hullies most welcome.I suspect it really is a scottish bar though but dont let this put you off.Overall we loved it in las americas.

We've been to Playa de las Americas before and Los Christianos. Las Americas is the more livelier resort suited to all age groups and Los Christianos tends to be a bit more up market and certainly doesn't get bothered by the timeshare touts like Playa de las Americas! You shouldn't get bored in either of these resorts as plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping.

We we staying at the Green golf resort between las americas and los christianos. We went in October and the weather was great. On occassions it went a bit overcast but belive me it was still very hot and we still managed to burn. The beach in los chritianos is a large stretch or white sand with lots of sunbeds and pedalos to hire. If you stay in los christianos down by the harbor there are stacks or restaurants to choose from and you'll be spoilt for choice. There's tapas, mexican, chineese, indian, steak houses and pizzarias.
If you want nightlife head for the fountain display near the crazy golf and slow boat. Theres the magic bar opposite, upstais next to the slow boat i forgot the name (something jacks) but it is quite lively with dance music and open late. Behind the water display near the taxi rank there is about 6 or 7 bars to choose from in a line. What we enjoyed about this resort we had zero toutters trying to drag you in bars and not as much looky looky men.
Las americas beach is great, very large with a promanade stretching all along it. Quite large waves at times and is often usede by surfers. Veronicas and starcos were largely avoided by our group at night. We went there on our first night and were surrounded by about 10 p.r's as soon as we stepped out of the taxi. Wigan Pier is fun though as it is a large pub with a drag act most nights.
We often choose to go down puerto colon end at night as it is lively but less hassle than veronicas. Theres lots of irish bars to choose from with singers, commedians and bands. Vibes bar overlooking the harbour is a great setting with large beds to chill out on and great dance and rnb music.
We went to the new Siam water park and this is a MUST for anyone who loves slides. It is in a league of its own and beats aquapark hands down. Its 28 euros for adults and they have a free bus service to take you and bring you back. They have the biggest wave pool ive ever been to and a man made beach. a huge lazy river that stretches around the whole park is lovely. The tower of terror slide looks fab as it goes under the aquarium but i chicken out! For the family there about 4 slides you can ride in a raft together and stacks of ones to go down alown or in pairs. I would not advise anyone to go to aqualand, belive me its had its day. the only good thing abvout this now is the dolphin show but they have one in the new loro park which looks and amazing day out. There were two major slides not in use when we went and they were still advirtising the slide boomerang which wasnt even there anymore. Whats more its salt water they now use and must be on a water shortage as everyone was getting stuck on the way down!
The delphin boat trip was a great day out. 45 euros for 4 and a half hours. They take you to see the wailes and dolphins you get a nice lunch served on board included in the price as well as sangria beer and soft drinks. Plus they stop so you can have a swim.
If you are looking for other things to do they have jeep safaris taking you up to mount teide or to small villages. They have quad biking trips, animal parks or go carting.
Book from the money exchange shops though as you'll pay a lot more direct from the reps.
All in all it was a fantastic holiday with as much or a little as you want to do whilst you are away.
Enjoy!

the resort has something for every age, plenty of shops and great restaurants. a lovely promenade with differnt types of beach on a 2 mile stretch. good singers in bars and cocktail lounges. a resort that most people would visit again.

Our hotel was on the edge of Los christianos and Las Americas but we found ourselves in Los christianos nearly every night, we thought the restaurants were better, more of a variety. Las Americas had two extremes - Veronicas strip area was filthy, this is where the strip clubs and bars for young ones are, and at the other end there are designer shops that are very expensive, around the fountains area, a lovely area but too expensive.

Stayed at La Siesta which is in an excellent location for bars, restaurants, nightife, shops and beaches in playa de las americas. The resort is kept clean, however the bins along the streets always seem to be overflowing. The beaches are nice and were not too overcrowded and the sea was a nice temperature to paddle or swim. The only thing I disliked in the resort is the constant pestering by the touts to go into bars, restarants and even shops. One day we walked from playa de las americas to playa fanabe this took over an hour and we were never left alone, either on the way there or back this was soooooooooo annoying. We had prior warning to avoid the people with the scratch cards too! There was also a few beggars around the hotel.
