Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.
All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views

My top tip is to get the bus from the airport as it stops at the top of the road by Magna Building save on transfers

the resort its self i cant realy comment much as we only went out of the hotel a few times the loro park and sian park are a must we enjoyed every moment of the visits the waste ground near the golf course could do with something built upon it as its intimidating when you walk into los cristianos especialy at night we saw someone had made a house of rubbish and was living in it and raking in the bins for food at night they could do with a bus down to the two resorts and back on a regular basis from the golf course we did stop for a drink near the santiago 3 and it cost us 20 euros for 6 drinks very expensive if your self catering shop around appart from that it was a nice place we are coming back so we hope to see more of it

the beach was a five minute walk away. it could take you a day or two to find your way though, just on the right of the main enterance of our hotel, there is a dirt track whick is about a 5 minute walk to the beach.. 15mins away is las americas. Hotel cleanliness was great workers were reliable and swift , very friendly..
pubs and main bars across from the hotel ie. garfields were very sleazy trying to get young girls in.

Puerto Colon/San Eugenio is a lovely part of Costa Adeje. Its busy but not bustling whilst quiet but not boring. Loads of good bars and resturants to choose from. Scotch Corner a favourite for breakfast and Garfields for night time. A 20 min walk will take you to Playa de Las Americas and a further 20 mins will take you to the quiet and beautiful Los Cristianos.

Black volcanic sand is a no no for me, but you could tell that the beach was groomed daily. Loads of water sports and games available on beach.
Plaza Del Duque centre is nice for a change of scenery but it was always empty - apart from the Russians!!!!
Was about a 3km walk into PDLA along the coastal route and then a 5 min taxi back. Nicer walk towards adeje and the 5/6 star hotels. Less restaurants and bars but little/no PR's

There was plenty to do which would suit most tastes.
We went in to the resorts on several occasions. The dancing fountains are well worth a visit at night (Harry's Bar was a good spot to sit and watch). Lots of shops with tack and better quality goods to buy. Lots of pubs with entertainment. Saw quite a few places offering beer at 1 euro. Walk along the front from Los Christianos to Adeje and beyond was pleasant (might have to be split into two!) If you were on the front you didn't get too much hassle but there were loads of time-share type folk and lookie-lookie men in the resorts.

The resort of San Euginio isnt big, its more or less an extension of Las Americas, not much to do except a few pub/restaurants, hairdressers, and a shopping complex with usual shops you get abroad, trying to sell you cameras etc and the usual perfume shops. Only good thing was it was handy for a beach we used Porto Colon and Playa Fanabe all the time so it was handy enough for them.

We wouldn't go to playa de las americas in tenerife again unless the beaches were changed, we took a walk down past the monkey bar and the sand was black and pebbly but at least you could have a ball game or smoke. a couple of days later we went to the beach where the sand had been brought in from the sahara but there were notices up all over the beach telling you that you cant play ball games, can't smoke and can't have music. what holiday is that for a child of any age just laying there on a sunbed or going in the sea. I don't think this is a fun place anymore.this was the third time in tenerife and we used to enjoy it but not this time.
