Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views
Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.

short and sweet, pdla as gone down the drain big style, i was sick of the dog poo everywhere, the looky looky en offering me drugs whilst i was with my children, i found it very let down by the locals rather than the tourist, all ther intrested in now is your money without any value to your enjoyment

I really liked the resort in general but the Veronica Strip is a major blot on the landscape and is in fact quiet intimidating to walk past and I do feel there should be a major police presence here at all times after dark. If there was one thing that would stop me returning here it would be Veronica strip.

we have just come back from las americas and had a brilliant time we have been before and was a little surprised to see gangsters had closed this was the best kareoke bar,but we had no bother finding another we really enjoyed leonardos bar with the wild boyz they were good fun.there was plenty of choice for meals loads of bars and restaurants.the beach was great the sea was so clear, we took some bread into the sea and broke it up and could not believe the amount of fish swimming so close to us.the weather was red hot.would definately reccommend this place.

on a few occasions we went to the irsh fiddler/temple bar pubs at the top of the hill a few times during our stay, it is opposite the san eugenie shopping centre. we didnt eat there but the entertainment was very good. there is a lovely cocktail bar opposite the apartments and a lovely night club which looks quite new... the beach looked nice but mainly we stayed around the pool area at the hotel.we went on the half day teide tour which was really spectacular but be careful about prices of the trips, they do vary alot. we paid 22 euro each for the mountain trip only to find that around the corner the same trip was being sold for 15 euo each.the resort was overall very nice and clean.

Las Americas is a brilliant place to holiday. You have a choice of many ways of enjoying a holiday. We enjoy walking and there are loads of different places to walk around. It is lovely to sit on the beach side seats and watch the world go by. There are many singers in restaurants with banter included for a laugh. It is a pity that people who smoke cannot clean up after themselves. Saying that, the street cleaners do a brilliant job. We have been to Tenerife 3 times and will be going again in the not to distance future. The trips out and about the Island are great too.

Whenever i walked around, i could see people cleaning, and making it better than imaculate.
Due to it being a volcanic island, its black sand, no diffrent to normal sand, excpet the colour.

The resort of Torviscas is very upmarket with very little sign of the lager lout type behaviour in evidence. There are not surprisingly scratch card touts scattered around who were only seen until approx 2pm, don't give them eye contact and just say no thanks and keep on walking. There are hundreds of restaurants to choose from to cater for all tastes and budgets so if your budget allows it go and eat overlooking the sea as they are so tasty ranging from steaks, pizza's, fish and lots more! The beach always looks bizarre with the black sand but you soon get used to it. The sea is nice and clear. The one major disapointment for us was the 9 euro price for the cocktails at all of the beach bars as thats way over priced, other drinks and food were slightly more expensive than the "proper" restaurants but were fine. Overall though we found this resort very clean with a variety of activities and a plethea of restaurants to suit everyone from young to old.

Tenerife is always good so enjoy it and join in the fun. You will always get the scratchcard touts waiting for you trying to get you to sign up for some dodgy deal but just walk away. The script is always the same no matter what they try to say. You and your partner/wife will be given 2 scratch cards. 1 will be a duty free prize and 1 will be the star prize. Look at the card closely. The words "void if removed" will be different. One card will have a dot above the "I" in the word "void" and the other one won't. That's how the ticket tout knows what card is the "winning" prize. We knew that and told the guy but even then he tried to get us to go up to the sales deck where you will be confronted with a high pressure sales guy who will keep you there for hours trying to get you to give them money. Walk away every time. This is the only bad spot in a brilliant resort. Tenerife will always be bright, sunny and welcoming so don't be worried about going there. We will be back.

Las Americas while we were there was very quiet,a fair few of the the bars and shops have closed down due to lack of business and a lot more owners were complaining how quiet it was and has been, the entertainment in the evenings for familys and younger teenagers was virtually non existent the whole area is geared up for the late night clubers and fighters there were two reported stabbings while we were there and in some areas at night even grown men could feel intimidated by the gangs on the streets, a lot of the restaurants were very poor especially the aberdeen angus steak house the food was not eadible, snappys bistro however was fantastic great food and really nice people also the anchor bar was good for the kids in the evening with some good acts and the waiters were spot on especially Simon, also the English Rose only a small bar on the main street run by Ken a real nice guy and real character!! there were also hundreds of touts selling fake designer gear to the point that they become a real pest and really overpowering in groups of two or three in some areas, although we had a great holiday I dont think we will revisit Las Americas again.
