Attached to the Hotel is a bar, well worth sitting here at night - only thing is your all-inclusive option stops the moment you go past reception so drinks aren't free here.

One main street in the resort which houses the restarants, 2 pubs, lots of Jewellery, Estate agents, and tour sellers.
Easy to get sunbeds but has a shingle beach.
Its our 5th trip to Turkey and will go again but not to this resort

Olu Deniz is a beautiful part of Turkey. However, it is a little spoilt by the number of noisy bars offering karaoke and football on large screens. There are some lovely restaurants to eat but it is difficult to escape the continuous noise on the strip. We would love to visit again but would like to stay in quieter accommodation. It is a shame that people do not clear up behind themselves on the beach or that it is not kept clean.

Although I was in Ovacik which is further up the mountain, I spent most of my time in Hisaronu and Olu Deniz where there the shops, restaurants and bathing areas are plentiful. Hassle free shopping in both areas. The beach in the main Olu Deniz is huge but shingled so aqua shoes a must for bathing. Further down is the blue lagoon with lots of little bathing areas. My favourite was billys beach, absolutely fantastic, beds cost 6 lira each a day, there is a cafe/bar which again is reasonable. You can hire pedallos and canoes on the lagoon to explore which is a must as we spotted turtles on more than one occassion and when you are ready to go back to your hotel there is a courtesy bus that takes you right back to your hotel, what more can one ask for. I highly recommend billys beach, lovely hot sandy, relaxing and the blue lagoon is beautiful, the backdrop of mountains are amazing! I Thank the staff at this beach and cafe/bar from the bottom of my heart for making me feel welcome.

Last year we went to Olu Deniz and said it would be our last year as the resort had grown too commercial for our liking and had lost authenticity. We dont like kari-oki bars, english food when holidaying overseas or neons/bright lights. But we as always this year came and we found ourselves missing the place.
So we went back but treated it differently. This year we used Olu Deniz as a beautiful and conveniant base. Our days were spent lazing at Seahorse private beach on blue lagoon and then in the evenings we caught the Dolmush into Fethiye were we wandered along the harbour and found interesting places to eat on a budget.
Done like this we found that Olu Deniz suited us very well. Olu Deniz is incredibly pretty, the people are charming, the resort is well tended. We aleady we are planning next year's break to this resort.
(despite generally preferring Turkish cuisine when in Turkey i have to own a weakness for full english breakfast and it doesnt get better than Cousins in Olu Deniz resort)

the beach was dissapointing,as it was all pebbles and it shelved quite steeply, not for kids, you needed soft shoes to go in the sea.there are plenty of trips, i reccomend the para gliding from 7ooo feet up,also the tuesday market trip to fethiye and on to the ghost town which includes a buffet meal excellent value £7.00 each, also the jeep safari, prepare to get very wet great fun which includes the mud baths and a buffet meal £12.00 each.and the olu deniz all day boat trip £8.00 each including a meal.best to haggle with the tour vendors for the best price.plenty of shops to look at, and without too much hassle not like in other resorts we have been to in turkey, most hassle is from the resturants, the worse was the secret garden.we had a great holiday.

I loved Olu Deniz, it was absolute paradise.
The trips were very cheap if booked independantly. We used Focus mainly:
Olu Deniz boat trip £5.00 including lunch. Be aware of the tab you are building up as they are persistent in getting you to buy drinks and can be a shock at the end of the day. Beer was £5, soft drinks about £4.
Jeep safari £10 including lunch, great fun day out but if you don't want to get wet its not for you. We were wet from the minute we met up with the convoy (9 jeeps) until we departed last meeting point at about 7.30pm! Take the large bottles of water with you as they charge you 3 lira a bottle at the first stop and if you haven't got any by then you will be queuing up to get your ammunition..or buy water pistols at the resort beforehand.
Market trip £6 including lunch. Great day out, included a stop at turkish delight factory and lots of free tastings. You can choose to fill your own box of turkish delight and its not expensive - about £4.00 for a large one and you know its all fresh stuff that is made on site not like the prepacked boxes in resort.
Sky sports did a small boat trip max 20 people for £8 including lunch which was by far the best trip we did. Plenty of room to sunbathe, snorkels and flippers available free and fishing lines. We stopped at some of the smaller bays and I can only describe it as the nearest i have been to paradise. Crystal clear waters, so fresh and peaceful.
We enjoyed cocktails at Help bar and Buzz bar, happy hour £4.00. Smoked the water pipes under the stars for £8, interesting experience and the guys were lovely and patient with us as we hadn't a clue what to do!
All in all a fantastic resort, wasn't over impressed with the lagoon as it was very crowded but the stunning scenery and friendliness of the resort is something I will not forget.
